  Buyer Beware! Now before I launch into what they did wrong, I'll start off with the few positives. Sam was early to the appointment and I think a pretty nice guy. On to the bad. For a company that prides themselves on not being pushy salesmen, boy did we feel pushed! We were quoted (after being forced to see what we were qualified for because we wouldnt be told anything until then) between 34 -64K for a new roof depending on the plan we chose. We were told our roof was well over 20 years old, we had a ton of leaks, and it was presented to us like our roof was basically cardboard. Even after we said we needed time to discuss and talk about our finances (we just bought our house and MANY unpleasant surprises have come up at one time we are dealing with) he continued to push. He did offer to step outside for a second but I didnt want a same day decision, I wanted another quote and told him that. My fiancé is a veteran who had been dealing with strangers coming in and out of the house all day and he was hot and ill from the ac having to be off due to other work completed. He politely said, hey man, im at my limit. We need to talk and well call you. After this, Sam called someone from his company and put it on speaker to futher urge us to get on their schedule. This upset us greatly because we had already politely said MULTIPLE TIMES (and then more firmly) that we needed a couple of days to talk it over. Melissa in the office was very nice when she called to follow up and I told her all of this and I appreciate her greatly. Now on to why I am making this review. I hadn't planned on it since I had spoken with office staff and was content with that resolution until... I had another roofing company come out yesterday and the inspector told me is absolutely did NOT need a replacement. The hole in the roof I was concerned about was a small, simple repair and the roof was only about 8 years old, not 20+. She did advise there was some granulation but she said every roof has

  I am writing this review so others are aware and do not get taken advantage of. They had someone available the same day, quick inspection, long sales presentation that included pressing for financing and closing the deal that day. Even put me on FaceTime with another representative. They quoted me $43k and told me they could possibly get it down to $38k range if I signed. I received additional quotes with thorough inspections, same GAF Timberline HDZ shingles, fortified roof by licensed companies and settled for $14,250.00. They try to sell a lifetime warranty that doesn’t exist. Nothing “family and veteran owned” about my experience with the company. I never heard back from them when I questioned such a price difference in their quotes versus other companies. Please be aware and do your research!

  Honestly, I was initially going to give this company a 4 star review, but I’ve come to realize it was all a ruse to get me suckered into financing a roof that now I know I have been overcharged for. For the better part of at least 2 weeks, I have reached out to David Carroll and a representative named Cynthia - who I wholeheartedly believe is AI or something because of how scripted she talks - but I have been given the runaround. All I asked from this company was to send me the invoice details from the job and the details about the warranty of the work on the roof- which David Carroll told me I would be sent personally from him and the Cynthia lady told me someone from the company would send it to me BUT I have yet to receive anything even after reaching out to them several times. How is it that difficult to send me paperwork I was guaranteed to have? What are you hiding? What have you lied about? I just am disappointed that they lack basic professionalism AFTER they’ve gotten what they want from you. I’m also mad that I’ve been duped and fell for this bait and switch sales tactic and now I’m in the hole thousands of dollars.

  They overpriced themselves out of a job by over $14k. They would not provide an itemized estimate which is always a red flag for me. Our sales Rep was amazing but I just could not get over the price quoted.

  I have to update my review .... my initial process was exceptional.... unfortunately my roof failed the fortified inspection, it's now been 3 weeks & I can't get anyone to answer my calls or texts.... I also been trying to get them to retrieve there stuff they left from the job.

  The I AM Roofing did not honor their referral bonus to their customer. I referral a friend to use them and they promise a bonus and I never received the payment. I have call several times and they did not respond. So I would not use them and trust me the referral program does not work.

  On june 1st, I contracted I Am Roofing for our gutter installation due to the excellent ratings with BBB & the owner is a veteran. Im now wondering where all of these excellent ratings came from because my experience certainly isn't an At. I was initially told on Monday June 1st the job would begin on Wednesday. Then on Wednesday I was told via texts, the soffits would be here Saturday and gutters installed following Tuesday. I haven't heard from I Am Roofing since Wed june 3. You have 3 days to cancel, imagine that!! All I have is a couple of screenshots of the contract I signed and theres no start finish dates. Its only one page with the job, materials and cost, nothing more. I honestly believed the guy and I even spoke with the owner and was really impressed by him but ive realized, this is just another llc (limited liability company), targeting people for money and veterans should demand these businesses stop profiting from what is supposed to stand for patriotism and integrity!!! * I will be posting screenshots of texts and contract on FB and any other sites I can.   Kortlen Wilfawn, Project Manager, Spanish Fort, Al was very thorough and a southern gentleman and he is definitely an asset to your company . We are pleased with our experience with Kortlen and are grateful that he and his crew completed our roof repairs in one and a fourth days. They were very through and cleaned up impeccably. It was a pleasure meeting Kortlen and getting the roof repairs so quickly. Kortlen is a great Project Manager for your roofing company.
