I initially requested a roofing estimate in May. This was followed by 6 more emails over a 2 month period. I never got an answer to my requests with every reply looking auto generated although it’s from “Caleb Helmuth.” This company reeks of disorganization. I chose another contractor.

Zero stars would be more appropriate. All talk and no show, fellow citizens, PLEASE beware of hiring this company. First off the crew did not put down catchment before removing the roof, we are still finding nails in our yard 5 months …

Hi Caleb, Our goal is always customer satisfaction, as reflected in the many 5-star reviews from past clients. I’m sorry you didn’t experience it that way, and I want to clarify a few things for the sake of transparency for anyone reading this. You opted out of communication for several months, which delayed any opportunity to answer questions in a timely way. Since opting back in, I’ve responded promptly and made multiple efforts to communicate. After a tree fell on your home, you chose to proceed with another contractor for the insurance-related repairs. Owens Corning communicated directly that damage from fallen trees is covered by insurance, not by manufacturer warranties, and that using a non-certified contractor could risk voiding warranty coverage. Regarding the warranty itself, the materials installed were in fact manufactured by Owens Corning as shown on the distributor's delivery ticket. We stand by the quality of our work and remain open to resolving this fairly. As shared via email and text, my offer to make it right still stands if you choose to respond. -Caleb Helmuth

Reached out with an urgent need for my Mother. A tree crashed into her roof and there was a hole big enough to drive a car through. I called, texted, and emailed over 4 or 5 times to Helmuth Roofing to no avail. Very disappointed with this customer service.

Helmuth Roofing reached out for feedback on the 4 rating, heard what we had to say and asked if they could make anything right about our experience. That felt good.

Great job they did my full roof in a day and a half and it's over 30 squares. Calleb was really professional and explained all the details and process before it happens. my only complaint is the lack of communication after signing the contract. I was the one calling them to confirm the schedule time

I had a new roof installed in the spring of 2024 by Helmuth Roofing, and they did a great job. It was a large, complicated residential roof; the crew did the entire job in just few days and did a very thorough clean up. While at first I though that I would have to settle for my second choice color of shingles, the owner Caleb Helmuth came through and found a source for my first choice. It looks beautiful. I highly recommend Helmuth Roofing.

We love the timeless look of a true cedar shake roof. This one had finally reached the end of its life. Cedar shake tear-offs are some of the most labor-intensive and messy roofs we tackle, which is why protecting our clients' property is just as important as installing the new roof. For this project, we used The Helmuth Shield, our property protection system, debris netting, landscaping protection, and magnetic cleanup to help leave the yard as clean as we found it. The finished product features premium designer shingles paired with custom copper gutters, valleys, and flashings, giving this home a fresh look while preserving its classic character. A big thank you to these homeowners for trusting Helmuth Roofing with such a beautiful home and being a 5-star customer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Get your free inspection: 📱: 540-733-3010 🌐: HelmuthRoofing.com #HelmuthRoofing #ShenandoahValley #HarrisonburgVA #Stauntonva #CedarShake #RoofReplacement #PropertyProtection #RoofersJul 27, 2026
