  Was a bit disappointed with this company. I was leary in the beginning with email communication. Very short and vague emails, no greeting, no signature so I would know who to contact if needed, just short sentences in response which appears rude. Not saying they are rude, but it appears that way on email. The person who came out was 15 minutes late. No phone call to say they would be late or an apology. He was friendly just unprofessional. He was here maybe 10 minutes... didn't even get on the roof, inspect the attic or take time to ask me any questions. Then he sent me an estimate for $4,500 when I had two other estimates for $1,800 and $2,000 from companies that actually got on the roof, inspected the attic and interior, and spent a lot of time with me asking questions to understand what is going on. Gulf coast roofing did only the interior and apparently could see everything on the roof from the ground. I wouldn't recommend.

  They did a great job on the roof, but destroyed my driveway concrete by not protecting it with more boards and by bringing the biggest dump truck. I had fixed the concrete for some unevenness and their manager said it should be fine. Well, it was completely crushed on every panel. Lost $2K on the original repair, $500 to shave down high points for tripping hazards until replaced and remove small pieces, then $7K for new driveway. When I asked them to at least contribute to the cost, they ignored my email, letter, and text. My neighbor told me that the original owner, their father, would have paid for it since they have insurance to cover such things, but his son, who got this business from his dad wasn't as ethical. So no, I don't recommend companies who are not ethical and don't take care of the damage they made. Not a nice company anymore. They are making a killing during this IRMA storm with lots of insurance and made me take out a loan to pay for their damage--that is so wrong. I'm adding response here to theirs below. No, my driveway was not cracked. They cracked it into tiny pieces, and I told the manager that I had repaired it for unevenness (because they couldn't replace my roof for a year), and he said it should not be a problem. If he had warned me, I might have discussed solutions to avoid this before they started, such as bringing lighter trucks or using the walkpath on the side of my house instead. Since he thought it was fine or forgot what I told him, he didn't lay enough boards and should have brought lighter trucks knowing that it was repaired with mud, not foam, by the way. Please do not blame your negligence on your customer. The company was partly at fault, if not 100% for not taking protections necessary. Each property is unique. At least this review will make them protect properties in the future.

  We received a recommendation to use Gulf Coast Roofing, and they performed a repair on our roof in March 2019. A very unprofessional repair person worked for more that a week to do a simple repair, often leaving our roof open after he worked for a couple of hours, and leaving our screens open against our request. The repair cost $2400. We found a leak in the exact same place In July. Asked for them to come and repair. They finally made it to give an estimate in October. The evaluator informed us on arrival that they do not warranty any of their repairs. After an unprofessional interaction with him, he submitted an estimate for repairs of about $3000. I called the office several times to ask what the warranty would be on this repair, and it they would discount based on their prior work on the exact spot. No response. Can't ever imagine doing business with them. We called another roof repair company, who explained what likely happened with their work, and offered to repair at a lower price. Of course we will use them.

  Had a great experience with Gulf Coast. Mark was the consummate professional drawing up a detailed quote with all work performed on time with no hidden gotcha fees..And their price was beyond reasonable with many saying “no way you got that price!” The install was performed quickly and neatly. Just a pleasure doing biz with them.

  Kevin and his team were professional and prompt. They showed up on time and completed our roof replacement quickly and thoroughly. One of the team members also swept around our house for nails multiple times, and they were tidy with clean up. Highly recommend these guys!

  Gulf coast roofing gave a competitive bid and ran through all the options for my flat roof that needed replacing. They got the permit quickly and did the job in one day. I’m very happy. Ask for Chas if you need a new roof!
