  Working with Greenawalt was extremely frustrating. Their crew was incredibly negligent, I received angry texts from my neighbors that their roofers were leaving tools, sharp metal, and walking all over their next door roof (our rowhouses are connected). They also left tons of debris everywhere, they "cleaned up" by leaf blowing rusty fasteners off the roof into our yard, I spent hours cleaning debris out of our garden, including multiple RAZOR BLADES where my toddler or dog could have stepped on them. Pictured is just the screws they left on the roof after they finished. They also did a sloppy install and had to come back twice to fix it, which took them 3 months to finish. They were not communicative and I had to contact them multiple times to get someone to resolve the inadequate work. They also removed our gutters one hour before a huge rainstorm at 5pm, and left it that way. Our basement flooded that night without the gutters. Just poor planning and project management throughout working with them. Although they eventually did patch the roof and resolve the issues, getting there was a painful process and they cut corners every step of the way. I'm an architect and I would not recommend this company

  I don’t know what to say. Had a great experience with the man who measured my home for new copper gutters. The guy was really nice and gave me confidence in the company. I had received three other estimates from other companies, but was sure I was going to be happy with the one I was about to get from Greenawalt. It simply never came. I called and spoke to the office administrator, who is actually really pleasant, and the only reason this is not a one star review. She assured me that I would get one within a day or two. Then I called a week later when I hadn’t heard anything. This time the woman was surprised at her staff for not getting back to me. A week later when I told them it still wasn’t sent, she seemed annoyed at her own team and told me she’d escalate it to management asap. So management…. Where is the estimate???? I’m shocked at the lack of professionalism.

  Communication with this company is horrible! The way my project has been handled and continues to be handled is just to much to type. I think the siding was pretty well done. Stay far away from getting windows through this company! It was hard working with the crew as they did not speak english. They were also set up to fail. This company needs a big overhaul in leadership, accountability, and communication. I noticed the “owner” comments on these reviews and im hoping to speak with them. I have been trying to contact your project manager for about a month and have yet to speak with them. My project was an estimated 2 day job. It started 4/9 and has still not been finished.

  Great job done with the roof! But communication is terrible! Took over 2 years to get job done because they always said they couldn't get my shingles until I finally talked to a higher up and then magically overnight they were found after over 2 years with a patched hole in the roof!

Clear and open communication is something we typically pride ourselves on, and we regret any inconvenience caused. You signed your contract on 9/15/23 and we were fully complete on 12/11/23. This may seem like a long time but we were able to not only locate but freight in the discontinued shingles from the other side of the country in this time. 2 years is a false statement.   They came out to look at my leaking roof. To which they told me i needed a patch or 2. $400 later and it was fixed! Or so i thought... 6 months later the same leak appeared. I called them out again, and without even going on my roof, they said i needed the brick repaired on the side of my home. At this time they also (unofficially) quoted a replacement of my roof at close to 3 times the cost that I ended up getting it done for. I called the mason they recommended and it was going to be just as much for the brickwork. At this point I figured I should get another opinion on the roof, so I called another company. They Actually went on the roof, and said they wouldn’t repair it, only replace it because it is in such bad repair. They also quoted it way lower, so I went with them. It was the roof afterall, not the brick. Edit: please stop harassing us via telephone. This is simply a google review. Would rate 0 stars if possible.

  Hi Miles - we are upset that you feel we failed you on your roof. After reviewing your file it appears you had a leak and wanted it assessed on a rubber roof. We relayed to you that the roof was not in good condition but your wife was not thrilled about a replacement when we spoke to her. We understand a new roof isnt always financially feasible so we expressed that we would do whatever we could to get the leak to stop. We completed a repair in May of 2019. After the leak returned in 6 months we returned (free of charge) to see what else we could do since replacement still didnt seem to be a financially feasible option. Your brick and roof to your house were in such bad disrepair we recommended also having a mason out which we felt may be also contributing to water infiltration. While we expressed a new roof was the only guarantee, we didnt have the opportunity to present one in this situation. We may feel this review is unfair but do understand that the situation was frustrating and we always strive to make for a better experience. We have tried to reach you with no success so if there is anything else we could do for you please feel free to reach out to the office.

  I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Greenawalt Roofing Company. I had an active leak affecting my bedroom and bathroom and needed my two-story duplex roof tarped as soon as possible, I contacted Greenawalt on their website on June 30, and I honestly did not expect such an immediate response - especially at the beginning of July. To my surprise and relief, Brandon, a representative of Greenawalt, came to my home the very next day, July 1, to inspect the roof. Brandon also took the extra step of tarping it to temporarily stop the active leak. That was something I wasn't expecting, and it provided me with tremendous peace of mind! Brandon also inspected my attic for additional leaks and signs of mold. He patiently answered questions, explained the process clearly and made sure I understood what to expect if I decide to move forward. Brandon assured me that they (Ashlea & Christina, & crew) would work quickly to address my roof damage caused by the wind storm from early June. What stood out the most was that they followed through on what they said they would do. Their word is their bond, and that is something that can be very hard to find these days, From the beginning, Greenawalt Roofing Company demonstrated excellent communication, professionalism, knowledge, and genuine concern for their customer. They listened to my concerns and expectations and made sure I felt heard and understood. I was grateful to know that someone, Brandon and team, was taking my situation seriously and working to protect my home. Their customer service centered approach made a stressful situation much easier to manage. I highly recommend Greenawalt Roofing Company to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional, responsive and trustworthy roofing company. They truly went above and beyond for me and my family! I am extremely grateful for their help. A well deserved five stars!

  The team at Greenwalt Roofing were fantastic! Christina was exceptionally helpful and helping us get our roof repair scheduled. She worked with us as we needed needed to navigate having solar panels removed from my roof prior to them being able to complete the job. Working with the solar panel company proved to be very time-consuming, but Christina and her team were very patient and maintains open communication with us until we can get the job scheduled. The team arrived on time and were very efficient and polite. . They took care and removing all trash and left my yard and my roof in better condition than they found it. I would surely do business with Greenwalt Roofing again.

  My husband and I chose Greenawalt based on 3 different bids of notable siding and roofing companies. Our home is 50 years old and needed some help. Now it looks brand new! The quality of product, the efficiency of timeline, exemplary work ethic and final product all have been truly proficient and appreciated.   I got a notice from my HOA that a section of flashing on my roof had come loose and needed repair. Since I was going to be away from Lancaster for an extended period of time, I contacted Greenawalt Roofing about the work. They sent someone out that same day to inspect the roof and sent me an estimate. I okayed the work and they got it on their schedule within a week or so. I am very pleased with the work and the level of communication from the company.

  Definitely the best roofing company I've dealt with. The roofing and siding look great and have held up against some pretty strong storms the last couple years. I did have 1 issue, but I won't knock them a star because they are a GOOD company and actually honor their warranties. There wasn't enough ice barrier around the edges and the past winter had some heavy ice build up. But they went in and expanded the coverage in those areas and repaired the minor water damage to the ceiling. It's a pretty aggressive shaped roof with two large valleys coming together and it caused a huge ice bridge to form so definitely a bad design for the original roof lol. But with the extra coverage I haven't had any issues since. They are very fair with pricing. I only had 1/2 the siding coveraged in the repair coverage but they did the entire house for that quote amount so I was still able to get the entire house done.
