  Leaks in 6 places, they got mad and won't fix leaks! My husband fixing leaks again today. Roof is 14 years old , leaks from the start , Brain came out every year first 5 years! Bad job ,have to put new roof again!!

  Whatever you do DO NOT use Terks Roofing. If possible, I would give them NEGATIVE STARS. A good reliable roofer in this area is Farrell roofing. In 2016, I had the misfortune of having a leak in a $10,000 roofing job done in 2011 that was a nightmare getting Terks to return to repair.

We live in the Westwind model and is about 1850 ft.². Our original roof replacement in 2011 estimate was about $8500. Because the roof had two layers of shingles to be removed, we had a fair amount of rotted plywood. This added another $400 or $500 to the bill. It was then about $9000. Since the roof was opened while replacing the rotten plywood, they asked if we would want to install more insulation. We agreed and added $500 more to the cost. We also discovered we had bats in our chimney that caused rotting on the inside and down near their roof where it meets the chimney. This also added an additional $700 over and above just the roof cost. That is the background. Now the reason for my warning.

We have roof solar panels to heat our hot water. When they reattached the existing solar panels to the roof (not the plumbing) on the area over the garage roof they missed the rafters and when they finally re-secured them correctly they neglected to seal the holes from the first attempt. Rain leaking in over five years and with the exceptionally heavy rain that we had this past spring and summer (2016) enough water came in over the garage and caused a 4 x 8 section of my garage ceiling sheetrock to collapse barely missing my car. After the garage ceiling area collapsed I was able to see a small round hole where I saw the sky. There were actually 4 but only could see 1. This is how I discovered that they had originally failed to secure the solar panels back correctly. I had a leak in my roof over the garage for five years. After almost 10 unreturned phone calls (leaving answering machine messages) attempting to get them to come and repair the damage It took a letter to the Better Business

  Had them come out to do a roof mitigation for insurance purposes in early November. Was told that they would email the mitigation to my insurance agent. Started new insurance on Dec 3rd. It is now Jan 8th.Got a bill yesterday from the insurance company for $778.00 higher over the original quote because I didn't have a roof mitigation. Went to Terks roofing to get the mitigation and they had no record of it. Had to show them a picture of the roof joint that the inspector wrote on and took a picture of. Then the inspector said "I have the pictures on my phone". They proceeded to fill out the paper work and he then stated it would be $75.00. I asked why I wasn't told that when I went there to first asked to set a time to get this done. Next thing I know I'm told he won't sign the mitigation and was asked to leave because I had an attitude. I was unhappy when I went in there but was not yelling or even talking with a mean tone. Then the owner started yelling at me. All I said was why don't they tell people the cost when then set up the appointment. Because of their incompetence I now have to get someone else to get this done.
