When you called in, we offered to send our project manager out right away, but we understand you declined at that time.   Good afternoon Rachel, My name is Victoria and I am the Office Manager for Great Basin Roofing. We have looked both in all our emails and calendars and can not find you in our system at all. You are not our customer, nor have ever been a customer of ours. We have never given you any estimate at all or have ever been to your home. There is another company with a similar name Great Basin Roofing and Repairs. This company has no involvement with us at all and is not even a licensed contractor.   Ken This is Carlos at GBR, we appreciate your feedback but a lot of the stuff in this review are false statements and misleading information. I am personally sorry if you and my sales guy had a misunderstanding about your roofing project. All permits were pulled and signed off by the inspector before you made you final payment. The roof was torn off the following day after the rain, not in it. I would never tear off roof in active storm that is ridiculous. I'm not sure about the accusing you about wanting to steal my worker, I would never have to worry about that. All paid in full invoices have been sent to your property manager since you don't live in the area personally. Thank you again for your business!

  Before you hire Great Basin Roofing (GBR), read all of this. Initially, we were excited to hire GBR to install a metal roof on our home in Washoe Valley, Nevada. The references I checked seemed positive and the company's owner, Carlos, was very personable. The guy heading up the job, however, was very unresponsive and short-tempered. Towards the end of the project Carlos became less reliable in communicating with us. When the roof was finished we had a dispute over the final price, but eventually my paperwork proved I was correct. As time passed we noticed a lot of construction debris in our gutters and an assortment of roofing screws in our lawn. But that's not the half of it. After the big storms last winter we noticed a major leak inside our house, ruining drywall and deeply soaking the wood floor. We were involved in an interior remodel at the time and I had our contractor check things out. THE NEW ROOF WAS LEAKING. We contacted GBR and they eventually came out to fix the leak. I've attached a photo of their outrageous repair. They used a Black Jack type product, which is not just temporary, but totally wrecked the look of my roof! After I contacted the Nevada State Contractors Board, GBR came out and put another coat of a similar product on the roof and spray painted it blue. Despite being told by Carlos (in an email) that he would pay for the damages inside the house, he never has. I've put off writing this in the hope that GBR would step up and properly disassemble the portion of the roof in question, fix it properly and professionally, and pay for the damages inside. Obviously that's never occurred.

  I am so impressed with our new roof! I had the new stone coated steel installed and it looks fantastic. Installation was fast, just over 3 days but I had a swamp cooler to be removed and a solar light put in over my inside bathroom. Everyone was knowledgeable and so friendly. Communication about the installation beforehand was great too. The price was very competitive and our property was left cleaner than before they started. Honestly it couldn’t have gone better! I highly recommend Great Basin Roofing and Solar, you won’t be disappointed!

  We chose Great Basin Roofing for our shingle replacement and am completely satisfied. There was great communication throughout the process. We asked for a few repairs which were fairly quoted and I feel went above and beyond because they replaced much more than what was quoted and even removed and reinstalled some strip lighting.

  Carlos and the staff at Great Basin Roofing were great!! They put on my new stone coated metal roof and also completed my solar project when another company could not. After it not working for over 2 months it is now working at max output and producing power. I would highly recommend them for your solar or roofing project.

  Service was very fast. They fixed it all in one day. We were able to get the roof repaired for a fraction of the cost of a new roof. However, their new roof prices are very reasonable.

  This was the only roofing company in Reno to get back to me after my roof valley leaked in December. They were immediately available to give a free quote, followed up afterward (while I was waiting for my home insurance to approve) and scheduled the repair within a week of my call. Not only was the scheduling fast, they had an opening a few days prior and called for permission to fix it sooner. Roof was repaired by the time I got home from work that day and was so well done I wasn't even sure they came by. Pictures were sent of every angle before and after the repair and I was given an unexpected 2-year warranty. Extremely satisfied and highly recommend!

  The folks at Great Basin Roofing and solar did an amazing job with the new roofing, and the solar panels; they did not try to hard sell us on extras, or even on the newest (and most expensive) options. They were in constant contact and all of the costs were covered upfront without any last minute adjustments. I would recommend them anytime I needed this work done.
