I hate to give bad reviews. . Unfortunately when we had our house built. We paid the builder for our roof and he never paid the roofing co . I stayed firm with the builder to finally settle the bill for the price of the roof . The Owner Eric said if they get payment he would fix our roof. See attached pic . We got him paid , now they refuse to fix because now they want interest on the roof and warranty is up They were shown the problems with the roof way before the one year warranty was up. And now they say my Warranty is up . He never told us that until we got him paid . And I was told numerous times that that would take care of it , when they got paid . This was as close as just a couple of weeks ago. And they are clueless whet has caused this problem . I finally found out that they used the wrong underlayment when you don’t have ridge vents when you use spray foam insulation. The underlayment that did use is ok per code in our county . It’s there inexperience in doing proper roof work , that they should have been aware of this. . What you see is called worming . And was told there is a 75 percent chance that it will happen to the rest of the roof. . Please research this company that first does not stand behind what they say they will do or even more so stand behind there work. . I do understand that it took almost 1.5 years to get paid . I did not have a lien on my house .But I stayed in the builder to get them paid. And what thanks did I get for doing my best to help them a slap in the face. Good luck with deciding on a roofer in this area. Edit. Since posting one of the owners called me upset that I posted this .He told me he is still owed around 100k from our builder for other roof jobs.. I feel bad for them that that are owed this much . But i worked hard with the contractor to get my bill settled . And they told me that my roof would be taken care of if I got them paid . They never told me that my warranty was void until after my roof was paid off .

Unfortunately, very poorly done job. Roof started leaking again only few years after they repaired it and we thankfully saw the stains in the bathroom ceiling so we caught it early. When the other company redid the repair it seemed that Gopher didn’t follow the proper repair process and skipped steps. Also, they charged us twice what the other company did. If you have a dead valley roof problem, I would say find someone who knows what they are doing.

We are very sorry to hear about your negative experience with your roof repair. Gopher Roofing takes pride in the quality of our work and customer satisfaction is very important to us. We have checked our records and have not received a call from you regarding this issue. We would have been happy to evaluate the problem and determine if it was covered under warranty. In that case, we would have done everything possible to fix the problem and ensure your satisfaction. Without more information or the opportunity to assess the repair, it is difficult for us to determine the cause of the leak or comment on the quality of work. However, if the issue was due to our workmanship, we would have taken full responsibility and remedied the situation promptly. We apologize for any inconvenience and frustration this may have caused. We take these matters very seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns directly. Please contact us at 941-371-1613 so we can discuss this further. I contacted Gopher Roofing following a referral from a respected contractor who had done work for me. I had a small leak in a roof that was less than 4 years old that the builder did not warrant. A representative from Gopher was out within a few days, did a very thorough inspection, provided pictures to support his assessment and estimated repair, and sent a written quote that afternoon. The repairs were completed within a week. The repairmen sent 25 photos of the roof taken throughout the process. They even fixed a number of other issues on the roof at no additional cost. When I contacted the salesman and said I wanted to compensate Gopher Roofing for that added work, he said there was no charge and that is just part of their inspection process. That has never happened with any other vendor I have used in Florida. I have since referred Gopher Roofing to several neighbors. They are truly a company with integrity. If you read reviews about Gopher Roofing, you will likely find that my experience was the norm, not the exception. If I ever have another roofing issue, my first - and likely only call - will be to Gopher Roofing.

Tim, thank you for taking the time to write this — it genuinely means the world to our whole team. Coming to you through a referral from a contractor you respect, and then earning your trust on a leak the builder wouldn't stand behind, is exactly the position we work hardest to live up to. The thorough inspection, the photos, the same-afternoon written quote, and the 25 progress pictures aren't extras for us — they're just how we think roofing should be done, so it's wonderful to hear it landed that way. And you're right that the additional fixes were no charge; catching and correcting those is simply part of a proper roof repair, not an upsell. Referrals from customers like you are the highest compliment we can receive, and we're proud to bring that same honest workmanship to homeowners across Sarasota and the Gulf Coast. If you ever need us again, we'll be right here — thank you again, Tim. — The Gopher Roofing Team

July '26 update Gopher Roofing puts the customer first. A small problem arose with my new roof and Gopher Roofing worked tirelessly to remedy the issue and assure I was satisfied. Post-installation focus on customer satisfaction makes it easy to recommend Gopher Roofing for any roof project. July '24 update: new roof Gopher Roofing did a superb job installing my new tile roof. Edgar and his team are skilled, efficient and expert. Fascia replacement was necessary and the Gopher team did an excellent job cutting, installing and caulking the new wood. They kept my property clean and were courteous throughout the repair. Additionally, the adminstrative staff, Gina, Pyper and Kevin (project estimator) provided excellent and responsive service. After two successful post-hurricane roof patches by Gopher they became my preferred choice and their proposal was fairly priced vs other local roofing contractors. I heartily recommend Gopher Roofing for either patches or complete replacement. ____________________________________________ Gopher Roofing provides expert roofing repairs at a reasonable price in a timely manner. Today Pedro quickly identified the source of a water leak and 2 hrs later he and Rodrigo completed a high quality repair of my tile roof. Pedro is very good at explaining problems he sees and the fixes he recommends. I heartily recommend Gopher Roofing (and Pedro) to repair tile roof water leaks.

After dealing with a frustrating roof leak that another company completely failed to identify and fix, I was incredibly grateful to find Kevin. From our very first conversation, it was clear that Kevin is exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced. Instead of guessing, he put together a clear, systematic action plan to accurately diagnose the root cause of the issue. His team executed the repair flawlessly, and my roof is finally bone dry. If you want honest, skilled professionals who actually solve the problem the first time, look no further!

We are so impressed with the level of service and professionalism by Gopher Roofing! A prior roofing company had botched a repair on our roof. We couldn't get them to even respond. We called other roofing companies, and still nothing. Gopher, however, responded immediately, got us on their schedule right away and even called to move up our repair by two days when they had an opening. They did a very thorough inspection and discovered some other problems with our HVAC vents and gave us lots of pictures to help us address those issues. Absolutely top-notch service and I will certainly recommend Gopher Roofing to my friends and neighbors.

When our insurance company informed us that our 25-year-old roof had to be replaced—even though they acknowledged it still had some years of useful life remaining—we joined forces with three neighboring homeowners whose houses were built at the same time. Together, we carefully researched roofing companies and compared proposals. After considerable discussion, we unanimously selected Gopher Roofing. Their proposal stood out because of its competitive pricing, their clarity in explaining an improved installation method, their good reputation, and especially their 15-year workmanship guarantee. Two of us had also seen the quality of Gopher’s work firsthand on previous roofing projects. From start to finish, Gopher Roofing delivered exactly what they promised. They arrived when scheduled, kept us informed throughout the project, and completed the work efficiently without sacrificing quality. The only delays were those of the homeowners making selections of roofing materials and color, and the schedule of material delivery companies. Gopher’s crews showed up early each morning and worked diligently throughout the day with impressive organization and professionalism. It was clear they were experienced and took pride in their craftsmanship. Equally important, they showed great respect for our property. They took great care to protect landscaping, outdoor furniture, patios, and driveways, and the job site was kept remarkably clean throughout the project. The crew was friendly and responsive to requests. While a little Spanish was helpful, communication in English was not a problem. The office staff was equally responsive, answering questions promptly and professionally. Gopher Roofing is a family-run business, and that commitment to honesty, quality, and customer service was evident every step of the way. The final confirmation came when our Wind Mitigation Inspector commented on the exceptionally high quality of the installation. Replacing a roof is a significant inv
