Terrible communication- our roof still has a huge wave to it after we were told it wouldn’t. They refuse to discount or fix the work. Avoid this company at all costs.

GlennStone Gutters put new gutters put on our 5,000 square foot house that we built 23 years ago in October 2024. We have a problem area over our kitchen and leaks into our basement. We stressed what was done the first time did not work and they assured us it would not happen again. That they would fix it! They didn't. They did the same thing as they did 23 years ago. When a salesman returned (same man), he said they would fix it a different way (oh and he lost his ladder out of the back of his truck on the way out and used ours!). He said they would figure out something "in the office" and charge us again! (We paid them Glennstone in full at the end of the job before we realized it wasn't right!). We had a new metal roof done just before the gutters. We have not heard back after 3 weeks! I'm not impressed with their "picky people" and great work advertisement!

Dear Anne, In response to your accusations: 1. The roof facets in that area flow water to a valley that runs directly into the wall transition of the house, this is an architectural flaw that should have been addressed at the time of the construction of the home, 23 years ago. 2. The siding that follows below that area has three siding joints staggered within less than an inch. According to James Hardie, the siding joints should be staggered at a minimum of 24”. 3. It appears the brick façade under the area is improperly flashed. 4. A gutter placed in that area with the type of gutter protection will only catch some of the water running off that roof. The remainder will run down the siding between the gutter and the house, or over the top of the gutter protection. 5. We explained this to you when we agreed to do the job, and it was mutually decided that we would not install the gutter and downspout in this area at that time. 6. Our crew called us to explain that you had approached them and requested the installation of gutter and a downspout in that area, amending the work order. (You were not charged for this addition.) 7. Afterward, you called to complain about the gutter being ineffective. 8. We explained what needed to be done at a minimum to help mitigate the issue, you chose to ignore that advice. I am truly sorry we are forced to respond this way. PS: You will be happy to know that someone called us later that day to say they had found Jeff’s ladder, scratched, but otherwise safe and sound.

Update: I called this morning Aug 10. I spoke with a woman who said she would have the project manager call me back shortly. About an hour later I recieved a call saying they would be refunding my deposit. They replied to my review after I was called They said they had seen my review and thought it best we part ways. I was never informed it would take 4-6 weeks after the inspection, nor was I told they could not get the supplies. I was told on one call that I should not have been told they would be out the previous week and they would have someone out the next week. I was also told on a call that I had been pushed back a couple days due to rain. Glenstone has wasted 2 months of my time to get my roof fixed and countless time and stress trying to hold them to their word. Hire at your own risk. I did not have a big expensive job like a whole roof so I was not worth their time. I am a disabled veteran, making all these calls and keeping organized is hard enough. To be shown I'm not important because I dont have a lot of money to put in a project really hurts. Update 2: a gentleman hand delivered our refund. He said "my boss said to bring this to you" thats it, no apology. They will take your money then not do the job. So we had this company give us a quote on our roof. It took almost a month to get the quote. I called on June 9th, they showed up July 8th. We paid our deposit on the 10th and were told we would have our roof worked on the week of the 20th when we called on the 17 for an update. Nobody called or showed. I called the next Monday the 27th and was told they would have someone out that week. Again nobody called or showed. I called again August 3rd and was told I was on the schedule tentatively for the 4th but by the end of the week for sure. They apologized and said someone should have called last week and they would call one way or the other this week. Its Friday evening August 7th and still nobody has shown up, called, sent a letter. Just nothing from the

Hello, Shelby. We do see that you called on June 9th to schedule an appointment. At that time, we agreed to an appointment on July 8th. We showed up exactly when we said we would. We have been 4-6 weeks out on jobs since the storm. We have been trying to get to roof repair jobs sooner and have been hopeful that we could get to yours early, as it is not a large job, but we still have not received the material from the supply company. The supply company has assured us several times that the material would be in, but there is a national shortage on roofing supplies, and we have yet to receive it. You have been at the top of the list for a week or so, but we cannot replace your box vents if we do not have the new box vents. We have been doing temporary repairs for our customers with active leaks while we have been waiting on materials, but it does not appear that you have any leaks. We do appreciate the feedback on our communication, and we are doing our best to adjust to the changes that have been brought about by this material shortage. We do not want to mislead anyone. We have never taken someone’s money without doing the work we were contracted to do. We understand that you are not satisfied with the service you have received, and we will be refunding your $391 in full. We will be calling today to make that arrangement.

Was scheduled for a quote; no show and no call. Will look for a more dependable company

    Reply from the business

We appreciate the feedback, Christina. Not showing up and/or not calling is definitely not our style. We looked for your name in our system so we could reach out to you and make things right, but we have no record of you contacting our company. We hope this was a simple misunderstanding, and we are truly sorry if we did drop the ball.

Based on the recommendation of a friend, I called to get an estimate for a new roof. When the guy showed up he wanted to show me a presentation on his laptop, though he left the laptop in his truck so had to go back to get it. This presentation lasted close to half an hour with everything from videos of them roofing a house to how shingles are made. He mentioned numerous times that insurance companies shouldn't tell us how much it will cost to replace a roof and they would take care of the insurance. At the end of the 'presentation' was a contract for me to sign. The guy seemed very surprised when I told him I wasn't signing anything, he wanted to know why. Well, he never showed me an estimate, he'd never gotten on my roof, and I had no idea how much it would cost. He told me it didn't matter how much it cost as that was between them and the insurance company. Should they not be able to come to terms with the insurance the contract would be null and void. I don't know if this is their standard way of doing business, or if they reserve this procedure for single women, but I don't do business that way.

Hello, Lisa. We appreciate you taking the time to leave this review. Listening to our customers is how we continue to improve, and part of the reason why so many people who work with us (such as your friend) highly recommend us. Thank you for pointing out that our sales representative didn’t get on your roof. We require our sales reps to inspect every roof, and create a digital analysis, so every potential customer can see exactly what we see. We pride ourselves on educating our customers with our thorough presentation, most of whom are grateful that we take that extra step. However, it sounds as if you did not find it helpful, and that is okay. We were disheartened by the comment about single women, and we are truly sorry that the thought came to your mind. 20% of our staff is made up of single, working mothers, all of whom hold high positions within our company. We set the standard in this industry for treating our customers and our employees with equal consideration and respect. Thank you for your feedback, and best of luck to you.

Glennstone Roofing not only did an excellent job with our roof, they worked on Saturday to accommodate our vacation schedule, and the work was documented extensively with pictures. It was getting dark when they finished so one person returned the following morning to police the area and ensure that no debris had been left behind.

Hi, Highly Recommend glenstone roofing and getters. I replaced my roof on March 19th 2021. Since that date, we have had many high windstorms. And during this time I have had not a single shingle blown off. I also at the time replaced my gutters. I am very happy with the work GlennStone roofing and gathering has done for me. It was a no hassle, no pressure. No problem. Experience all work has was done in record time. And all mess was cleaned up. I know it has been a while since the workwas completed but with the storms. I felt I should write this review to let them know how much their quality work means to me. I would still give them a 10 after 4 years. Thank you, GlennStone, roofing and guttering, Carolyn Armstrong.

Glennstone roofing was great! John M showed up at our house and knew exactly what needed to be fixed to stop our roof leak. The work was done quickly and we have had no issues at all since it was fixed. He also sent a handwritten thank you note after the visit. It was such a nice personal touch. :)

I had a drainage problem along the east edge of my property. My property is the low spot for several houses and receives water runoff from houses to the north. Glenn evaluated the problem and with careful analysis greatly improved the drainage and there has been no significant pooling of water since then. While it will pool briefly in a very heavy rain, the solution works and quickly drains the water.

Glenn was excellent to work with! I had a very challenging drainage situation, and spoke with multiple companies looking for a solution. Glenn put in a lot of effort as we discussed the best way to solve my problem. Ultimately they installed a curtain drain that has taken care of my water issues. Thank you!! I recommend that you give them a call so they can take care of you too.

As a home inspector, I've seen thousands of roofs before and after repairs or right after installation. There are several little details about roofing installations that separate it from a good roof to a great roof. Glenn and his team thoroughly addressed all of these to add to the longevity of my roof. I was super impressed on how smoothly my scheduling was handled and how well they did on the roof, from the tidy caulking to how well they cleaned up after themselves. I even had a small project I needed to do while the roof work was being done and they worked around my schedule. Jeff was my sales representative, he was a clear communicator and easy to work with!

Glenstone roofing did our roof and gutters in July 2023 after a severe hail storm caused damage Josh was there for us from the beginning to the end. It was our first insurance claim. Josh went above and beyond to help us. He responded to our calls, texts and emails promptly. I like the way he explained their products, warranty, and what to do if something goes wrong in the future. We couldn’t be happier with their workmanship. The gutters and roof look great.. a perfect color of roof and gutters. The workers who were here on the roof have been employed for a number of years. I liked that. We added a solar tube and it we love it . Josh helped with our insurance claim, we didnt’t even need to ask him. We have Travelers Insurance. Overall it was a great experience!
