They waited so long after a hail storm to replace my siding, it was two and a half years after the storm before my siding finally got replaced. Insurance won't allow updates to the claim after 2 years. The men that showed up didn't speak English and they started tearing siding down off the wrong side of the house. Took a long time to get them to understand they weren't supposed to pull that siding off. I think it took so long because they completely forgot about my case until I reminded them at the end of 2024 to get a move on (not for the first time). Now at the tail end of the process after leaving me out in the wind for over 2 years after the storm they are nickel and diming me on the last invoice.

Hi Elliott, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t reflect the level of communication and service we work hard to provide. Because this was an insurance-driven project, there were periods where we were waiting on carrier direction and approvals before work could move forward. That said, we did take too long to get your project completed, and we should have kept you better updated during those delays. We sincerely apologize for the frustration this caused. Regarding the final invoice, it reflects only the items that were approved, documented, and contracted for. We apologize again that we didn’t deliver the experience that so many of our other customers have had—and that you deserved. We are committed to being more diligent with communication and timeliness moving forward. — Fortified Roofing & Siding

John, As posted prior, it seems no matter what we do you can not be satisfied. We also have photos of when the roof was torn off, when the new plywood was laid and also when the roof was finished. Sadly, Google wont allow us to upload those photos. The photos you show for example the nails that is at a termination shingle. The soffit has nothing to do with the roof and the waves could have everything to do with your rafters. As we have replied, you are welcome to speak with Larry the owner personally. But, constantly changing your story and posting on Google is not going to help. Larry is happy to have a conversation with you. We have checked our records and the last time we spoke was early 2024. You have a 5 year labor warranty. Additionally, we met with you in person to review any concerns in March and have photos of you with us reviewing things. We created a punch list based on what you requested. We have always come when you requested. Larry is HAPPY to have a conversation with you to review any concerns. We are sorry that it seems no matter what we do at your request we can not seem to satisfy you. Thank you for your honest review. We did enjoy working with you. We always strive to give our customers the best experience possible. We thank you for the compliments on our promptness, courteousness and us being fairly easy to deal with. As well as noting that even in the busy season we did maintain the adhered schedule. We did indeed go out initially for a leak and noticed you had hailstorm damage enough to make an insurance claim. We were happy to help assist you with that process. We are sorry that once we got into the roof that the decking you had was thin and breaking. Also, that the framing of your roof was built with 2x2 rafters, and one rafter being broken that we fixed. We do apologize for the exhaust ventilation issues that you had. As well as the additional ceiling staining and a small area of gutter damage which sometimes can happen with a major r

Been dealing with this company for several months now. Had the house and shop roof done supposedly .Job is not done. Communication is non existent . Do your self a favor and go somewhere else. 6 months is a long time.

Thank you for your patience regarding the completion of your project. As a reminder, the contract was signed at the end of August, and the materials were delivered and roofs installed by September. The only remaining work consists of minor punch list items, such as painting and trim. We explained that these items were delayed due to weather conditions, including snow, ice, and extreme negative temperatures. We are waiting for warmer weather to complete this work. While we strive for 100% completion as quickly as possible, factors such as material availability and weather can cause delays. In October, you expressed satisfaction with the quality of the installation. Around Christmas, we explained that we wanted to complete the painting and other items when the weather improved, and you indicated that you understood. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the weather and the delay in completing the punch list items. However, 98% of the job is complete, and we are committed to finishing the remaining work as soon as possible.

TLDR: No communication whatsoever. Will waste hours of your time trying to get some kind of update over phone or text. Months and months of delay. And now, some months later, signs of questionable workmanship. AVOID. Severe hail damage on March 31, 2023. August 2, 2023, I signed a proposal from Fortified to replace the roof and gutters. Absolutely NO subsequent communication from Fortified that did not require multiple requests from me first. Months of delay re. "negotiations" with State Farm for the skylight replacement. Finally, on March 22, 2024 I received the first proactive item of communication I had ever gotten from Fortified: the first invoice. Roof was finally installed April 6, 2024. (Price of materials had gone up by then.) After multiple promises of "we'll be there next week", gutters installed first week of May. May 28, I noticed some shingles along the flashing were lifting up and texted a photo to the contractor. They sent someone out on June 5 to remove "debris under the shingles which prevented them from sealing tight". September 30, I noticed shingles lifting up alongside the skylight. Was told on October 18 it had been corrected, but they forgot to take the photos I requested. November 1, I get up on a ladder myself and confirm the shingles are still lifting up. Waiting to hear back now. I have waited, and waited, to leave this review so that Fortified would have every opportunity to address my concerns before I publicly criticize anyone's business. I'm done now. I wouldn't touch this company with a 39-1/2-foot pole.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re sorry that your experience fell short of the communication and responsiveness we aim to provide for every customer. Because this was a State Farm insurance claim, there were several extended periods where we were required to wait on carrier decisions and supplemental approvals—especially involving the skylight replacement. That said, you should not have had to follow up repeatedly for updates, and we sincerely apologize for that frustration. Your roof and gutters were installed within the timelines allowed once approvals were received, and when you reached out with concerns about lifted shingles, we sent a technician each time to correct the issue. We understand how concerning it is to feel something is unresolved, and we are committed to making sure the roof around your skylight is performing as it should. We would appreciate the opportunity to address this final item and ensure everything is properly documented for your peace of mind, as we always stand behind our workmanship. Thank you again for your feedback—it helps us continue to improve. — Fortified Roofing & Siding

Pushed us aside to take on other customers. It's been 1.5 years and they are still not finished fixing our hail damage.

We had several discussions in group calls with Arch City and Mr. Wyatt. Additionally, I spoke with Mr. Wyatt on September 9 and September 12, and Larry reached out again in October to follow up with him. During multiple calls, it was explained that Arch City was waiting for the window production. They assured us they would contact the Wyatts as soon as the windows arrived and that their order would be prioritized over others in the queue. We just received an update from Arch City at the end of October. Despite our efforts to clarify that our hands were tied while the windows were being manufactured, this message seems not fully understood. Furthermore, it was not mentioned in this review that we received additional funding from the insurance to cover damages that were not included in the original claim. Due to back-and-forth communication, the insurance process took weeks to finalize the entire claim. The only outstanding items are the windows, which are currently functional. Unfortunately, the delay was due to manufacturing issues, which we explained repeatedly to Mr. Wyatt, including during group calls with the insurance and Arch City. Developing a relationship with potential customers is the utmost important for a thriving business. Excelling in customer service is the ideal that all companies should try to achieve, surpassing that is a lost art. My advice is in this day and age in this community representations of a business should be a mere image of excellence. Time is of the essence and right now I'm left with having to call another company because minimizing my need if you're providing a service is no win.

    Reply from the business

William, you are very right. We strive to do the best we can with potential customers. We tried very hard after a 15 minute conversation with you to establish that. We patiently listened regarding your uncles health. We patiently waited while you had a conversation with a friend that stopped by while we were speaking with you. We offered advice when you expressed frustration with 4 other companies that canceled on you and that your insurance denied your claims. We tried setting an appointment for you and we were patient when you spoke to us regarding some electrical problems that you had. After you at the end used fowl language and hung up on us, we also called your insurance agent to try working something out. Through that phone call we learned that you were not the homeowner and that they have had some difficult conversations with you as well and that they have in the past had to take actions because of those issues. We wish you the best in the future.

Overall poor project management. The company has taken >9 months to put siding up on my house (although the majority of the rest of my neighborhood has been completed). Fortified also repeatedly stated they would give project updates, but they did not. When we called them to ask the status of our project, they simply stated that new project managers have come and gone and they would be more focused on this (read paragraph 1 again). Fortified has not provided any form of: updates, communication, progress on the project, or anything else. I would avoid this company at all costs.

    Reply from the business

Hi James, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t reflect the level of communication and project management we work hard to provide. Your project fell during a period when we had staffing changes within our project management team, and unfortunately that contributed to the lack of consistent updates. That’s not an excuse—just context—and we apologize that you were left without the communication you deserved. We understand how frustrating it is to feel like progress is unclear, especially when your neighbors’ projects appeared to be moving faster. While your siding work was completed within the timelines permitted by the insurance process, we fully recognize that our updates to you should have been more proactive and consistent throughout the project. We are taking your feedback seriously and continue to strengthen our communication systems so this doesn’t happen moving forward. Thank you again for your honest feedback—it helps us improve as a company. — Fortified Roofing & Siding

It has been a pleasure to work with you and we are happy to continue working with you to resolve any issue there might be with the roof we installed. We thank you for your feedback as we alway tried to improve ourselves, with that being said we have been back to your home each time you requested which so far has been 5 times. We have taken photos and shown those to you as well. It was noted that on 9/9/20 you called into the office to say that you could hear rain in the heat stack but that there were no signs of leaks. On 4/22/21 you claimed that there was a piece of roofing found in your yard. We came out on 5/4/21 and the piece that you had picked up was a piece of aluminum that was no way associated with the roof. While we were there, we inspected the roof and took photos. On 7/30/21 was the first report of a leak. On 8/12/21 once again you contacted us and stated that someone looked at the roof and gave his name and we reached out him. That person didn’t want to discuss any issues and didn’t understand why we were contacting him. On 8/17/21 Larry the owner was having a severe allergic reaction to a wasp sting and was in the ER. You texted him again and then was angry that he didn’t respond right away. Larry messaged back immediately after he got out of the ER and offered an appointment for him to once more come look at what was going on. He offered to meet you on 8/19/21 and you never responded for 2 weeks. On 8/25/21 we got a return call which at that time it was stated to us that even with no rain for several days that the dampness never goes away. On 9/1/21 Larry met again with you both. He inspected the roof once more and took photos. Larry also went into the attic and found no signs in the attic of the roof leaking and took photos in the attic. We have offered to even have another roofing professional of your choice come take a second look and if something is found that is wrong with the roof that we absolutely would be there to fix the issue. We are happy

I was in need of a new roof. Fortified Roofing and Siding gave me a very competitive bid. Megan was very thorough in her explanation of the work to be done. The job was done in a timely manner. The cleanup and roof both look great. I highly recommend Fortified Roofing and Siding and would choose them again if the need arises.

We had Fortified take care of our siding and gutter repair from hail damage, and I must say that they went far above and beyond and taking care of us. First of all, Megan spent countless hours working with our insurance company to make sure that we were taken care of properly, even going and trying to locate old siding which they haven’t made in decades. In the end, we ended up going with a much better newer siding that she had recommended and could not be more pleased. The siding crew was amazing, they took extra care and making sure that none of my wife’s plants were harmed, and I have yet to find even a hint of a nail or any scraps. The gutter crew did a wonderful job, the house looks like a brand new home thanks to these guys. Being a veteran, I wanted to definitely go with a veteran owned company and they really take care of their veterans. Thank you so much to Fortified!
