Warning! Stay away from this company. Worse contractors I've dealt with EVER. Not to be trusted. Nice fake reviews, lol

Hi Mathew, As the new manager, I wanted to follow-up with you. On March 6, 2021, you left Firehouse Roofing a rating for work performed in 2017, under previous management. We do appreciate you taking the time to provide us with a rating and want to say – We are sorry. We are normally known for our integrity in providing great customer service and quality work. We regret that we failed to earn your trust and your non-payment was accepted to help remedy your situation. Again, please accept my sincerest apologies on behalf of the team. Sincerely, Firehouse Roofing

Want the work completed? Don’t use this company. After a few hail storms, we had a handful of roofers come by trying to get our insurance money. But Jonathan (or Andy, still unclear what his name actually is) of Firehouse Roofing in Kansas City had just done our neighbor’s roof so I actually reached out to him. That was on June 3. As we were going through the process of making the insurance claim, he was very responsive and all too eager to come by at the drop of a hat, almost too eager. I wasn’t entirely comfortable with the situation — when I asked him what a new roof would actually cost, he told me he’d go off of what the insurance company was willing to pay. Sketchy? Probably, but he was willing to walk me through the entire process and handle all the paperwork, and I didn’t really want to have to deal with large sums of money going in and out of my bank account. So, we signed some contracts and signed our entire homeowners’ insurance check over to him with the promise he would give us an entirely new roof — which we explicitly agreed would include replacing some of the ugly patching that had been done by another company earlier in the year after a leak — and new gutters. The roof was replaced in mid-August but I noticed immediately that the spots the other roofers had done were still the ugly patching. On August 24, I sent Jonathan/Andy a photo of the unfinished spots and asked him to finish it. He wrote back immediately saying he’d take a look and get it finished ASAP. He never did. On September 22, I noticed that one of the gutters makes a horrendous sound (like a large metal plate is being dragged down the street) when there’s heavy rain due to a bad connection. I sent an email following up about the other work and included a photo and detailed description of the gutter issue, and he said he’d take care of that, too. On November 20, after our large oak tree had shed all its leaves, I noticed there was a pack of shingles/random roofing trash left on the

Firehouse Roofing had a contract to ONLY replace Ms. Farris's roof and the cost of the roof determined by insurance's RCV. The roof replacement was completed in a timely and professional manner. Unfortanely. Ms. Farris had a pretty large deductible, which meant that there was only enough money to replace the ROOF yet Ms. Farris believed that she was entitled to have have both roof and nonroof items completed. FHR went above and beyond the contract terms and Ms. Farris was not satisfied.

It took several months to get the job started. The contractor decided to begin work when I asked if I should take my business somewhere else. The contractors cut our cable and telephone lines and left them on the ground. They cut the wires to our outside electrical outlet and never informed us. When I asked about these acts I was told it is common. I had to call them back multiple times to properly complete the work, and even then had to argue with them that both sides of the house should look the same and be flush. They did the work on Jul 07, 2017, but I have yet to receive my paperwork on the project as of today even after multiple calls. (4/5/2018)

UPDATE: Adding to my original review since Google will not allow me to add an additional one. We are extremely pleased with the work this roofing company did for us. They installed a new roof, repaired the siding on our shed, and repaired the porch roof above our porch. Every part of the project was completed with care, attention to detail, and quality workmanship. We continue to be impressed with Brenda’s work. She is professional, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. She took the time to make sure we were completely satisfied with the work. It was clear that she takes pride in her company and truly values her customers. We were equally impressed with her sub-contractors, Louis and Chris, and their teams. We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for dependable, professional, and quality work. It was a pleasure working with a company that genuinely cares about doing the job right. ORIGINAL: We were connected with Brenda the owner of this company when we discovered a potential leak on our roof. Brenda was knowledgeable and communicative. It was obvious she really cares for her customers. Within about a week, her and her team were here and completed the repair within a day! Highly recommend.

Brenda at Firehouse led us through the maze-like process of dealing with our insurance company. It wasn't quick or easy, but we're thrilled with the results. - a full roof and gutter replacement! We're also very happy with their work and our new roof, and the fact that they got the installation done in one day. Brenda and her people took the time to figure out how to reinstall our Sun Tunnel skylights, that we've had for years and wanted to retain. She also kept us updated as the insurance process moved along, and advised us on tree trimming to help protect our new investment. Brenda brought amazing expertise in roofing and dealing with the insurance folks, and we highly recommend her company.

Finally an honest roofing company. I live in Kansas City in an area that had numerous hailstorms. Queue the roofing company “ambulance chasers”. I got lucky with them showing up first. They were honest and told us the roof is good. Thank you

Thank you so much—I truly appreciate you taking the time to share this! This is exactly how I approach every roof inspection. As the owner of my company, my focus isn’t on a quick sale—it’s on building long-term relationships and being someone you can rely on for your roofing needs now and down the road. My job is simply to provide an honest, knowledgeable assessment. If there’s damage, I’ll show you and explain it. If there isn’t, I’ll tell you that too. In your case, I didn’t find hail damage that would warrant an insurance claim, and I’m glad I could give you that clarity and peace of mind. Thank you again for your trust and the recommendation. If you or anyone you know ever needs a straightforward, no-pressure roof inspection by a BEI Certified Asphalt Shingle Forensic Inspector for storm or hail damage in Leavenworth, I’m always here to help. Thank you so much for the kind words—I truly appreciate your trust and support! It was an honor to work on your Lee’s Summit, MO home and make sure everything was done the right way. Along with the roof replacement, addressing the ventilation on your cathedral roof was a key part of the project. Installing soffits, baffles, and proper exhaust ventilation helps ensure balanced airflow from intake to exhaust, which is critical for the long-term performance of the roof system. I take a lot of pride in doing things correctly—no shortcuts—so your home is protected not just today, but for years to come. I’m grateful for the opportunity to take care of your home and truly appreciate you trusting me with it—it’s relationships like this is what Firehouse Roofing KC is built on. — Brenda Firehouse Roofing KC #LeesSummitMO #RoofReplacement #RoofVentilation #StormDamageRepair #FirehouseRoofingKC

Thank you so much for your continued trust and support—it truly means a lot to me! It has been an honor to help you and your family over the years with multiple roof replacements, including your investment property and your niece’s home in Kansas City, your sister’s home in Lees Summit, MO, and your mother’s home in Liberty, MO. That kind of long-term trust is something I never take for granted. You had me out to inspect your roof after the recent hailstorm in the area, and just as important as finding damage is being honest when there isn’t any. In this case, I did not find damage that would warrant an insurance claim, and I’m glad I could provide that clarity and peace of mind. I’m grateful for every opportunity to be your go-to roofer and will always be here when you need knowledgeable guidance, quality workmanship, and dependable follow-up. I had wood on my roof and we went to composition. My Insurance was fighting me and she fought hard for me. They finally paid. I’m very grateful for her. Brenda is very particular. I can’t thank her enough. Thank you, thank you thank you Brenda.

Renee, thank you so much for your kind words and for trusting me through this process—I truly appreciate it. You were placed in a very difficult position after being abandoned by the previous roofer when the carrier only approved a very small repair for your home in Lee’s Summit, MO. I’m grateful my strong understanding of roofing systems, IRC code, damage evaluation, and proper work scope to work was instrumental in obtaining a full gutter and roof replacement. When you mentioned that I’m “particular,” I take that as a compliment. Good Workmanship is our foundation. Quality control matters. I believe in doing the work the right way—no shortcuts—so your home is properly restored and protected. Thank you again for your trust and kindness. It was truly an honor to help you, and I’m grateful you chose Firehouse Roofing KC. — Brenda Firehouse Roofing KC #LeesSummitMO #RoofReplacement #StormDamageRepair #FirehouseRoofingKC #RoofingDoneRight

Firehouse Roofing did a wonderful job taking our old roof off and installing a completely new roof. The owner of the company was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure our roof was completed appropriately. She was up on our roof many times to guide and inspect the workers as they did their job. When the insurance appraiser was reviewing the damage she was on the roof with him and worked with our insurance to get us the maximum amount to cover the damage. My husband and I highly recommend Firehouse Roofing!!

My 85 year old mother contacted Brenda at Firehouse Roofing when she needed to replace her roof. Brenda has a delicate appreciation for elderly customers. Brenda sensed that my mom was not 100% clear on scope of the job or how her insurance worked. Brenda asked my mom if she was okay with her working with me to ensure my mom was comfortable with the job, costs & insurance process. Brenda communicated with my mom as well as myself through the entire process. My mom ended up getting her gutters replaced through Brenda as well. I appreciate the respectful way Brenda treated my mom. Brenda was fully transparent, patient & is one of the most competent women I have met. I will recommend her to anyone I know that needs work done within the scope of her company. Patsi Perryman & Peggy Ayers

🏡❤️Just completed a full roof replacement in Kansas City, Missouri!
