These guys are the biggest scammers I've ever come across and their reviews are either full bs or at least heavily padded. The guy came and told me my attic was full of rot showed me a bunch of pics with supposed rot. All of it BS. I'm a woodworker and I had just had an inspection done on this home. My 8 year old roof was supposedly looking like it was over 20 and really the only choice I had was to replace it all for 40K. After forcing me to sit down for what felt like a timeshare presentation about how they build their roofs and how much better it is he tried to convince me that I shouldn't contact anyone else or get second option about what work needed to be done. To top it off, he told me to please leave him a review on Google because the company have him 100 bucks for every five star review he got, even without any work being done. Well here is your review. I'd advice everyone to steer clear of these guys. My repairs ended up costing me just 1.5K with a much better company.

AFTER INSTALL After our roof was installed trying to get some questions answered from the office was just useless. Forget about getting an itemized receipt, even though it is promised in the paperwork they hand you. The crews that where at the house were excellent. They took time to explain everything they did and their clean-up was fabulous. But I can't say I would go out of my way to recommend Findlay to anyone.

May 2024 We have a written estimate from Findlay for roof replacement $13,000. We had no leaks and decided to wait. May 2026 they came and the estimate was $33,000!!!!!!!!!!!! 24 MONTHS LATER. WE SHOWED THE MAN THE 2024 ESTIMATE THINKING HE MADE A MISTAKE. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL ESTIMATES THIS MONTH AND NO ONE IS CHARGING WHAT FINDLAY IS . I see your response below. But this is not the Findlay business model that you are known for since you’ve been bought by a conglomerate . And we did ask the guy to discuss the exorbitant increase as mentioned above. His response was there is nothing I can do!

We used them to install our roof 10 years ago. Lesson well learned and won’t be using the company again. And suggest others heed my warning. 1. They didn’t replace all of the skylights like the insurance company had instructed. Which meant we had to cover the costs out of pocket to replace the sky light and to cover the damages of the leaking sky light that was again not replaced. 2. The flashing was also installed improperly around our fireplace. Which I had to fight to fix as well. 3. We had damage to our roof as a tree had fallen pulling on the power lines away from the roof. I did call Finley and expressed my urgency but they couldn’t come out for an entire week! So I had the power company do what they could to make sure we wouldn’t have any leaks. They did come out and repair it… but I was again given a bill for services? Why this isn’t covered by our warranty is beyond me? But I assume the warranty is a joke to get you to pay more. This company felt like they cared their customers. The sales guys do their job well. But if you have any issues with your roof, big or small. Good luck. After discussing our issues with locals I’ve come to realize this company is terrible. I’m unfortunately not from Georgia so I’ve had to learn the hard way.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review; however, we at Findlay Roofing do not feel this is a fair assessment of our services. Regarding the skylights, insurance policies typically only cover items that were damaged as part of a storm-related claim. Skylights are often considered upgrades or non-storm related items, so they are not usually covered unless the storm caused direct damage. This may be why your insurance carrier did not include them in the approved scope of work and was explained at the time of your project. As for the tree damage, warranty coverage applies to workmanship issues—not new damage caused by external factors such as fallen trees or shifting power lines. When a tree or utility line pulls on a roof, the resulting damage is generally classified as an insurance claim rather than a warranty issue. In these situations, the repair costs are not covered under a workmanship warranty because the cause is unrelated to the original installation. We never want any customer to feel unsupported, and we regret that our scheduling availability during your urgent situation added to your frustration. Our team works hard to prioritize emergency calls, but at times demand may impact how quickly we can respond. We would be glad to review your past concerns in more detail and see if there is anything further, we can assist with. Please feel free to contact us directly so we can help. Sincerely, The Team at Findlay Roofing

Findlay refused to even quote a roof replacement unless the owner is physically on site. I owner-manage my rental property and cannot meet vendors in person. That’s extremely common in property management, and any competent roofing company …

Thank you for sharing your perspective, Judah. We understand how important flexibility is when managing rental and investment properties, especially when decisions and estimates are often handled remotely. Our policy requiring the property owner to be present during the quoting process is in place to ensure clear communication, verify project details, and address any questions in real time. It also helps us maintain safety and liability standards while our team is on-site, as having the homeowner present ensures proper authorization and oversight during the inspection. Your feedback is valuable as we continue to review our processes. If you’d like to discuss this further or explore alternative options, please feel free to contact us directly. I called Findlay for an estimate for a roof replacement. During The visit gentleman managed to show me 40 to 50 photos of issues with my current roof which is only 14 years old. While the estimator was in my home. I pulled up a folder. The previous owner left me with various service records. I found the invoice from 2014 where Findlay had installed the roof. So all the issues they were pointing out, were in fact for workmanship done by the same company. The visit left me with several questions One, why don’t they know they did the previous install? Why does a roof need replacing after 14 years particularly when it’s covered with premium shingles? Is it reasonable that after 14 years, the cost to replace the roof increases by a factor of three? Not sure what happened to this company. The Company doesn’t seem to operate with the same principles and practices they did previously. Customers just want to be treated fairly? I’m not going to use them for my next project.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Ken. We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns regarding the estimate and the condition of your roof. It's important to us that our customers feel informed and treated fairly. While roofs typically last many years, factors such as material performance and environmental conditions can sometimes lead to premature issues. It’s possible that what you’re seeing could be related to a material failure rather than workmanship alone. We’d be happy to review this further and provide clarity. Over time, costs for materials and labor do increase, which can make replacement estimates higher than in previous years. Since your roof was installed, we’ve also enhanced our installation practices and now offer a 25-year workmanship warranty to provide greater peace of mind for our customers. Sincerely, The Team at Findlay Roofing

I got quotes from six different vendors to replace my roof. All six were reputable with multiple quality reviews on google. Five of the six vendors quoted me $15,000 +/- $500. Findlay was $28,000. But if I signed on the line right then and there to give me a 5% discount. If you don't know they were bought out by venture capital A little over a year ago. I'm sure you're getting a great product, like every other roofing contractor will give you, but you're going to pay a premium because they have a lot of overhead now.

My experience with Findlay roofing did not start on it well. The day before I was scheduled to have my roof replaced I called the office to see if they were still coming since we were expecting 70 to 80% chance of rain the next day. No one answered my call. I also left a message and no one returned my call. Sure enough 7:15 the next morning I heard the roofers on the roof. I thought OK I guess it’s going to happen. By 8:45 A.m. it was pouring down rain and they had removed almost all the shingles off my roof. Long story short they couldn’t get the roof covered in time. I ended up with over five leaks in the house. I called Findlay roofing right away. Spoke with Mr. Bobby. Nolan told him what had happened and how upset I was. In less than two hours he had someone out to assess the damage and kept assuring me that it would all be taken care of. At my request, he sent out a different crew to complete the roof job. Within two weeks Bobby had schedule workers out to repair and complete all the damage to my home. He was true to his word, he kept in touch with me along the way and kept his promise to make things right. I do have to say I’m happy with my roof the second crew did a great job, walked me around the house to check everything and cleaned up.

We had these guys come out to trouble shoot some leaks in our house and was notified that the shape of our roof indicated it needed a new roof. Aaron Vick did a great job at finding the problem and showing us the options we had on installing a new one. Would recommend Aaron and Findlay for roofing issues/installation.
