We used them about 2 years ago. They lost our door they ordered. When we finally got the door and put on it was done very shotty there is a gap and they told us if we want the door turned the other way to let them know. We tried to contact them to have the turn the door and clean up the gap calls went unanswered. As much as I liked them we they first set up things and the. All the things went wrong from them loosing the door and no communication. It’s one company to avoid if you are a single woman they will take you for a ride

    Reply from the business

Thank you for sharing this, and I'm truly sorry for the experience you had. Losing track of your door and then not returning your calls to fix the gap and reposition it is not the standard we hold ourselves to. We treat every customer with the same care and respect, and it's clear we fell short for you. I'd like the chance to make this right. Please email me at office@edomanconstruction.com or call me directly at 218-464-0676, and I'll personally see that the door is corrected.

Oman construction replaced the roof on my home and an additional two car garage the week after Memorial Day. Work was sufficient but attention to detail was lacking. The roofers damaged some rain gutters and throw away some gutter elbow connections. I attempted to communicate with this company numerous times without a response. I physically had to go to their company location to find out the parts were ordered and would be replaced within a few days. A worker came back and only replaced some of the missing gutter parts and attempted to straighten out a damaged section from their ladders to no avail. The worker replied “ I will let the boss know”. Well, here we are two weeks later with numerous attempts to contact the company going unanswered. They could not cash our $35,000 check fast enough, but now I guess we are left hanging to find another company to finish the job they should have completed. Very disappointed and would absolutely not recommend. Customer service should be a huge part of what makes a company successful and clearly Oman construction falls short.

We're sorry, and we understand why you're frustrated. You paid for a complete job, and leaving damaged gutters and missing parts unresolved is not how we do business. We'll be reaching out to you directly to finish the remaining work and make this right. We appreciate the chance to fix this.

We contacted Ed Oman Construction after a very large tree fell on our home the day before Thanksgiving 2025. At first we were impressed with the response times and communication from Dennis. However, all of a sudden and without notice or communication, Dennis dropped our project unbeknownst to us. He first came to our home on 12/2 to inspect the interior damage and we spoke with him again on 12/3. He said he'd have someone come out to pull a pull a shingle within the next day or two and that he'd have an estimate to us within that same time frame. We didn't hear from him again. We left a message on his phone on 12/9 and a message on his phone and spoke to someone at the office on 12/11. If he didn't want to take on the job, that's his prerogative, but just pick up the phone and call us to let us know instead of leaving us hanging. After giving us his shtick about being a part of this "community" and "helping us out" when we couldn't get other contractors to pick up the phone, clearly he's just another full-of-himself salesman. In the end, we're glad it didn't work out with Ed Oman construction... our new contractor found significant interior damage upon his first inspection that Dennis missed and also the way Dennis was going to fix some of the issues wouldn't have been up to code so we feel that we're in much better hands now. The more we've talked to people about our experience with Ed Oman construction, the more we're hearing about this company's rather poor reputation and now that we've read some other reviews, we know we're not alone in our thoughts. We highly recommend finding another contractor.

We're sorry to hear about your experience, especially during such a stressful time. A tree falling on your home the day before Thanksgiving is an emergency, and you deserved consistent communication throughout. The breakdown in follow-through you described is not the standard we hold ourselves to, and we understand why that was frustrating. We are not able to speak to every detail here, but we take this feedback seriously and have used it to look at how we handle communication when project situations change.

We had multiple problems throughout the process of having our windows replaced. The most severe—and perplexing since it is such a basic issue—is that the voids between the window units and the framing were not insulated. So far this has resulted in severe drafts, frost, and ice formation on the interior trim. If not remedied, the moisture build up from the condensation in the voids will result in rot to the structure. The installers seem to have lacked appropriate expertise and/or supervision, and the integrity of my home is at stake. Although an offer was made to come back and address the matters, I am not comfortable relying on their work, and I will have to take the time and incur the cost to finish the job myself.

So far no follow up after several weeks past viewing the problem and promising to follow up in a few days. Please arrange to correct the roof problem

Randy - we appreciate your feedback. Your project was completed 5 years ago and then 2 months ago we came out to fix the wind damage around the chimney. We noticed you had called us today and Ed will be calling you back to address any other concerns you may have. We are sorry to hear you are having problems and we hope to get them taken care of.

Initial communication was good, and then Dennis simply stopped responding. Typical unreliable contractor

what can you say about a company that does an estimate (looked job over) but never responded with a price. Not a word, no notes, no phone call, nothing. Gotta wonder.

Ed Oman saved us last weekend with some major snow removal. He was just a phone call away and our entire parking lot was cleared in no time. Ed went above and beyond and cleared some areas to help our neighbors as well. I couldn't be more impressed with his completeness and punctuality.

    Reply from the business

Dan, thank you for this! Weekend calls are never convenient, but getting your lot cleared fast and keeping your neighbors in mind is exactly the kind of work Ed and his team take pride in. We really appreciate you sharing your experience and look forward to earning your trust again.

The crew did a great job on the house and garage roofs! Here at 7:30am and cleaned up and gone at 1:00pm!

Dennis was responsive during the pricing and construction process. Much appreciated. Crew was diligent, engaged in their work, leaving a clean work site. Also appreciated. Overall pleased with the work and crew. One aspect that was curious and a little frustrating: Crew entered the locked garage... somehow. Apparently utilized the emergency overhead door release. When I came home the second day, garage door would not open. Reconnected the auto. door release. Left sign on door, "come to house...get me... do not open door." This was disregarded. Not sure how the crew entered garage. I was a bit displeased with this circumstance. Not a major aspect relative to the construction work done, yet curious with this matter. This is not to take away from the roofing work done. The 4 stars is due to the garage door issue. It was, with the exception noted, a good experience. Thanks.

The service technician was very efficient, polite, and hard-working. He showed me pictures of the damaged pipe surround (flange?) and of the repairs.
