We worked with Luis for 4 months on a contract for an addition. We signed the contract, gave him a down payment of $19,000 on 6/17/25. We also gave Luis $8034.75 for roof repair on 6/10/25. It has been three months of trying to contact him through text, phone and email, sending Certified Mail requesting a refund, and attempting arbitration through CDRS. No work has been done and no refund given. We are contacting the NMDOJ to resolve this fraud. We took Luis and his company to court over this dispute. We now have a final judgment against Dream Built Construction from the First District Court, filed 8/3/2026. He continues to ignore us and our lawyer, but cannot ignore the Court or Construction Industries Division. The Judgement against Luis Dominguez and his Company is now close to $100,000.00 for Breach of Contract, Unjust Enrichment, and Alter Ego, Corporate Veil Piercing.

DO NOT under any circumstances use this company. Dishonest, unreliable, double-talker. Did my roof. Charged me for work not done. Gave me a "warranty" that is not worth the paper it is printed on. Now will not return my calls. Does not have message capability on phone. TOTAL FRAUD. Caveat emptor...buyer beware!!

Dream Built Construction LLC replaced our 20 year old roof with TPO 60 mil and high density fiberboard roof insulation in the Fall of 2025. The owner Luis Dominguez and his crew were efficient, professional, respectful, punctual, and kept us informed every step of the way. The process was done by the book; a signed contract, a permit by the city with inspections before and after the project was done. I can see why two of my next door neighbors used Dream Built Construction. Mr. Dominguez’s 10 year warranty, his attention to detail and honesty gives me peace of mind for years to come. I would highly recommend Luis and his local Santa Fe company for your roofing needs.

  Reply from the business

We are very pleased to hear that the TPO 60 mil roof replacement and high-density insulation met your expectations. Keeping the project on schedule, pulling the proper permits, and maintaining clear communication are standards we strive for on every single job. Enjoy the peace of mind that comes with the new roof, and thank you for trusting our team!

A heavy rainfall one Sunday night in the Spring revealed 7 or 8 leaks in 2 rooms of our home. I called a handful of roofers the next morning, but only Luis showed up that day to make repairs. Before he left, he gave me an estimate for a roof replacement and said he would credit the repair job toward the replacement. It was an old roof, so I had been expecting it; and Luis’ estimate was quite reasonable. Another rainfall that night brought minor leaking, and first thing the next morning Luis’ crew was back to find and fix the problem. His service and price led us to give him the job before anyone else had bothered to show up. Luis explained clearly the process and what would be done, and kept us apprised throughout. His crew were friendly and considerate; the roof repair went quickly and was well done. It’s guaranteed for ten years. In the late summer, the roof of our TuffShed started to leak, and I called Luis a second time—the best kind of recommendation. They showed up on a Saturday morning and quickly installed a metal roof. Again, good and friendly service, someone who delivers what he promises.

  Reply from the business

Dealing with sudden roof leaks can be incredibly stressful, so we are glad our crew could respond quickly to get those initial repairs handled. It was a pleasure coming back to install the metal roof on your shed later in the summer as well. Everyone at Dream Built Construction LLC appreciates your trust in our work, and we are always here if you need us again.

That orange layer is the reason your roof stays dry. 🏠 Base sheet fastened and sealed on a full roof replacement in Santa Fe, right before the TPO membrane goes on top. High-altitude sun, spring hail, winter snow. A flat roof up here takes a beating, and shortcuts underneath tend to show up as stains on your ceiling a couple of winters later.
