May of 2023 we hired Always to do a complete new TPO roof and I’ve never regretted a home repair more. It continued to leak 7 times, yes, 7. Yes they came out each time to fix it but that is unacceptable. The leaks caused damage to the paint and plaster on the walls. No one wants to have a contractor back to their home 7 times. We hired an independent roofing consultant to point out additional areas that still needed repair a year later. Even the contractor’s own roof consultant found issues with the roof, which he did repair. The owner will try to rebuttal this review but I have all documentation to back my claims. I expect a response to reviews, but the phone calls and emails are inappropriate and borderline harassment in response to my reviews and need to stop. You run a business, you’re going to have disgruntled customers. I don’t know county requirements, but there was no final inspection of the job completed. He continues to contact me and edit and try to block my unfavorable reviews, this is quite antagonizing and making me relive this huge financial mistake ($70k). Finally, after the 7 repairs and continued leaks, he decided it was the parapets that needed repair and that was why it was still leaking. We made the decision to hire always to make these repairs, as we did not want to have to deal with always and an additional contractor in the event that it continued to leak, under the guidance of our roofing consultant. Two years later, we still encountered a very minor leak where the hvac vent meets the roof. This was just too big of a roof job for him, it was rushed and sloppy and messy. I have pictures but if I post them I’ll just have to deal with the contractor reporting them and emailing me and I just want to be done with this entire experience.

Asked for estimate on large house, refused to even measure the job after saying he would contact to schedule to measure, two times. Julian spoke about his professionalism and "Christian values", but his behavior was unprofessional and downright rude. I don't know if he does a good job or not, but after this I will not hire him to find out.

We recently had Always Construction Services replace six posts/columns at our entryway that were badly deteriorating. We needed to act quickly, but were not sure who we could trust to do the job right, so we were understandably apprehensive going in. Julian and his crew put us completely at ease. They were professional and communicative from start to finish, walking us through the best way to resolve the issue and patiently answering all of our questions along the way. The craftsmanship truly exceeded our expectations, and the new posts look beautiful and fit the character of our home perfectly. Danilo, Marco, and the rest of the crew worked efficiently and stayed longer than expected to keep things on track, and the entire area was spotless when they were done. It is rare to find a company and crew this skilled and this easy to work with, and we would recommend Always Construction Services without hesitation.

Always Construction just completed work on building a stucco wall and door installation at my home in Eldorado. The owner Julian Moreno and his son Junior were both a pleasure to work with. Julian Senior has extensive construction experience and Junior is a computer design whiz. I have an eye for detail and they were as exacting in their work as I wanted and needed. They were very competitive and reasonable in their pricing and knocked out the work on schedule. Their crew was friendly and extremely talented and responded to my multiple requests with a respectful attitude. I have engaged three Santa Fe contractors to build stucco walls for me and Always is by far the best I have dealt with on this project. I will use their services again for future projects at my home and give them my highest recommendation. Jim Coronado

Always Construction is excellent. They completed insulation, drywall and electrical work on a large garage in a week from start to finish with high quality work. Their team communicates very well and makes sure each step is handled well and is what I wanted to be done. Thank you!

We hired Always Construction to remodel two bathrooms and we only had 5 weeks to get it all done. We also threw in an extra project! Removal of a fireplace kiva on our portal that did not work and blocked our view. We had guests coming on August 1 and the work began the last week of June. I was worried that we might not make the deadline, but the team worked 6 days a week to be sure they finished on time. The quality of the work was excellent. Every trade that we needed is part of Julian's (the owner's) crew and although they have more than one project going on at a time, they stayed on our project from the time it began until the time it ended. I don't think we had any day (except a Sunday) during the 5 weeks when there wasn't activity going on. They arrived early and worked late and cleaned up their mess as they went along. The supervisor on our job was Clarence, a retired general contractor who now works with Always to give estimates, communicate with the crew and make sure things run smoothly. The only complaint I had was that Clarence has lots of responsibilities at Always Construction, and sometimes he would be absent from our project on a day and at a time that it was important for him to be here to communicate instructions to the crew. When a mistake happened, Clarence made sure that it was corrected immediately. He genuinely cares about making the client happy, and he went above and beyond the call of duty to make that happen. We got several bids for the various parts of our project, and the prices that Always charged were sometimes right in line with what other contractors charge, and sometimes their prices were higher. But at the end of the day, the work was done extremely well and on time. We feel lucky to have found this company to do our work - and we are especially grateful to Clarence, Randy (a tile installer) and the plumber whose name I have forgotten but who really did a wonderful job... and of course the whole exterior team too. Julian has develo

Always Construction just finished re-stuccoing our whole house. They did a superb job. This is the third time we’ve used them and they do not disappoint. If they have super powers, they are customer service and attention to detail. The crews that worked on the house were excellent. Julian, the owner, and his son are excellent communicators. Danielo, who supervised, was so knowledgeable and accommodating.Ruben and Marco were also particularly helpful. They are willing to attend to the least request or answer any questions. Best of all they are professional and friendly. The house is beautiful and, now, secure from the weather.

I used this business to restucco my residence. Julian is a perfectionist, and insists that his work represents the highest achievable quality. He is trustworthy, professional, and a delight to talk with. I always learn something new and worthwhile when I speak with him. His business is built around being fair to customers and making sure they are completely satisfied. The stucco work his crew performed is flawless. His crew is courteous, respectful, and highly skilled. They are always on time and work to achieve the perfection that Julian expects. I recommend his company to others who want the qualities described above. I have just selected this company for a 100% Lucas silicone roof coating. Julian and team finished the roof coating. In the usual manner, his workers were excellent. Use Always Construction if you want outstanding work, honest dealings, on time completion, and people who listen. I have lived in Northern New Mexico for over 50 years and this is the best company I have ever utilized. This is a new review of the installation of two roof air conditioner units in 2026. I use this company because Julian runs a honest and highly professional company. The installation was timely and the units work well. I was especially impressed with the knowledge and work of Clarence and Danilo. Clarence is a multi-talented worker with many productive years of experience. Danilo is customer focused and always explained the before and after with detailed pictures. This company has done my restucco, new roof, and now the installation of the current roof air conditioners. This is a company that also responds and stands behind the work they perform.

This is an update on May 27, 2026 adding to the reviews of two earlier jobs Always Construction did on my home discussed below. Always just completed a major update of my interior, including complete painting and cabinet, door and other wood refinishing. They also did annual maintenance of the exterior work discussed in the earlier reviews. Again, I found their performance just about perfect. Always Construction is simply a great organization and I will use them for work around my home whenever possible. This is an update on August 16, 2025 of another review of Always I did about three years ago. Always Construction just completed a major job on my house, replacing all the wood on the outside of the house, including rebuilding front and back portals, and re-stuccoing the entire house. They started on August 8 and finished nine days later by working every day with a crew of about ten craftsmen and a great project manager. They arrived early in the morning and worked until 6 pm and on at least one day until 7, weather permitting. They did an incredible amount of work in that period and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. They had a great eye for detail. For example, previously the posts on the portals were set in concrete, which they explained is not good for the wood. They set them in metal and finished the multi-layer surfacing with the stucco matching that of the house. Always did a smaller job for me three years ago and I was impressed by their work and so I hired them to do this major project. That was the best contracting decision I've ever made since owning this or any other house.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this kind review. It was truly a pleasure working with you on your deck rebuild and cover project. From the beginning, our goal was to make sure the finished deck not only functioned properly and was built to last, but also blended with the look and feel of the home. We really appreciate that you trusted Always Construction Services with that vision, and we’re very happy to hear that you are pleased with the final results. I also want to personally thank you for mentioning our crew. They take a lot of pride in their work, and it means a great deal when their attention to detail and craftsmanship are noticed. Projects like this take good communication, planning, and teamwork, and we’re grateful that you were so great to work with throughout the process. On behalf of myself, Julian Sr., and the entire ACS team, thank you again for your business, your trust, and your recommendation. We truly appreciate the opportunity to work on your home and look forward to being here for you if you ever need anything in the future. — Julian Jr. Always Construction Services, Inc.

I had a tricky project with sloping floor joists in a 100 y.o. adobe casita and these guys did a tremendous job figuring out the issues then adding supports within a very small crawl space, reinstalling original floorboards in a stronger way, and adding new decking. Danilo, Facundo, and Mapache all worked really hard and kept me informed of what they were doing. Julian Sr has a great crew on the payroll! Because I was so pleased with this company's work, I hired them for a second project a year later - a full bathroom remodel. It too was carried out with skill, in a timely fashion, and at a reasonable price. The crew kindly answered all of my questions and worked with me to resolve unexpected issues typical to an old house. Julian Sr checked in with me nearly every day to make sure things were progressing as I hoped, and Clarence stopped by regularly to supervise and ensure the crew was on task. Very happy with the results and would definitely recommend them for just about anything!
