I had all of my vent drops sealed by Doyle roof master earlier this summer. One of my vents was still experiencing rain leaking through the vent. I call Doyle to have this looked at and was scheduled for repair. I was called later to reschedule and a tech came out on Friday 10/11/2024. He said hello and let me know what we was there to do but did not let me know when he left or what he found. I have tried to make contact with the business several times this week. Today I called and was meet by a very unprofessional Teresa Doyle. She divulged personal information about the employee in question and then tried to use the employee’s personal trauma as an excuse for the business’s lack of professional responsibility. As a person who has experienced loss and whose employer has divulged personal information to strangers I frown on this behavior. I have been a good customer and expect that I am treated as such. I called after the text messages below to try to reschedule and that is when I was met with the very unprofessional owner.

We have apologized on the phone and by text. We are apologizing again publicly. The technician was out on bereavement leave and the department head was off due to school break. Personal information is relevant since people do the work. We rescheduled as soon as we were able. There is no way to make it right since the customer has refused further service. The bid was $340.00. All but one penetration was sealed. The customer has not been charged and will not be. Screenshots the text conversations to the customer have been copied and pasted below. Wednesday Hi Sheila, the tech that was out had a family emergency, so my apologies for the delay in communication. They do need to come back out for the coating around the skylight. We will be in the area tomorrow 12-2pm. Would it be ok if we stop by? Doyle Roof Masters (Paula) PK 1:09 PM No They were supposed to repair it the day I scheduled previously SO 4:13 PM

Mr. Nyce. We sincerely apologize for the oversite and the inconveniences you experienced. The wait time to get work done is due to the labor shortage in our city. But the lack of communication is human error. Sadly, we are all human and we mess up. At this point, all we can do is apologize again. We will strive do improve. Thank you for the feedback. Do not ignore the bad reviews! We did and very much regret it. We have been using this company for close to five years for roof maintenance and repairs and had some great experiences with them, but this time was regrettable to say the least. They are perfectly nice people until there is an issue and then they are nasty and rude. We received a quote for a roof replacement due to a large leak in our roof. The person who quoted the roof came into our home and was shown the area where the leak was as that was our biggest concern. It took a few months to get into the schedule so they came and did a temporary fix to the roof to prevent any further leaks until the roof could be replaced. This is to say, they definitely knew this area was a concern. The crew came and replaced the roof over four days. My husband went up onto the roof after they left and noticed several of the canales were almost entirely sealed shut with tar and a covering that had fallen down accidentally, rendering them useless (photos attached). They came out and fixed this portion. That same day, my husband started tearing out the drywall of the ceiling where the largest leak was to repair it and found they did not replace any of the boards around that leak. They were moldy and one was even completely splintered and structurally compromised. I was in the room when they were fixing that canale the next day and the guy’s boot almost came through the ceiling. With the invoice they sent pictures of the job. There is a section where they show areas of the roof with all of the tar and gravel off before repairing any boards. This specific area of the roof had no pictures included with the tar and gravel off. We thought this was a bit suspicious. When we sent them a picture of the boards from inside their response was, “OMG! I am so sorry. Leaving the canales like that was bad enough. But this is unacceptable and they will certainly hear about it.” They admitted it was unacceptable. This was not fixed for a f

There were certainly corrections to be made during the project and we did so with extreme promptness and professionalism. The canales were corrected the very same day. One of the owners of our business met personally with the homeowner to investigate the molded decking. The mold in question formed on the underside of the wood decking between sheetrock. The mold was not visable from the roof surface, which is well documented. However we did tear it out and replace it free of charge. We also offered numerous repairs to a section of roof we had not installed as a courtesy (normally a $500-$600 charge). All aspects of the contract were honored and completed, apologies were made in writing and in person and amends extended. The homeowner even complimented the crew in an email. As far as we knew, all was well. After a month had past and the final payment had not been submitted we did contact the owner just as they were about to leave on vacation. We were informed they would not be paying the balance owed and they demanded a "substantial" discount. If we declined they indicated the would slander us online and leave negative reviews in an attempt to hurt our company. This was quite a shock considering all had been resolved for some time and we had had several cordial interactions after. We declined the discount. Not only had we fully honored our contract, but we had done additional work free of charge. Also the threat of deliberate harm to our company unless we complied with the demand hurts all the people that work here and our families. It felt very much like extortion.

I bought my home in June 2022 and the inspector suggested replacing the roof so I did — less than two years later it is leaking! A brand new roof, leaking! I’m so sad and frustrated. They’ve been out to “repair it” but it’s still leaking in the same spot. I had to hire someone else to address the issue. So much money wasted…

We were not aware there was any ongoing issue with the roof. We were last out in Feb and as far as we knew there were nt additional problems. Had we been contacted, we would have been more than willing to come out.

Purchased a home 1 year ago. Part of the garage had TPO installed in 2022 from previous owner. It was installed improperly and a recent wind storm damaged the TPO. Filed an insurance claim which was not covered due to improper installation. The warranty from Doyle is non transferable and does not cover water or wind damage. I would rate this less than 1 star if I could. I don't know who were the workers responsible for this installation but when we were forced to fix the wind damaged roof on our own we discovered vents had been covered with foam and never cut out to allow for attic ventilation. I'm fortunate to have grown up with family who are contractors and have grown up roofing for my family business for years and this is by far one of the worst jobs I've ever seen.

We were told after the repair that it “might fix it, we’ll see”, now that we got our first storm the leak is even worse than before. Owner goes to check and finds a hole in the pipe penetration which was one of the original problems stated from the start. Just got our second visit and once again we were told “we’ll see, and if it’s still leaking we’ll come back again.” After asking the owner why he can’t actually give us a sure answer on his service, he continued to mock me in my store clearly responding out of emotion rather than logic. So now we may need at least 2 more visits before we can get it repaired correctly, and while we wait we have mold growing inside of our sheet rock due to their bad job. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR ROOF.

Hello Austin. It is unfortunate that repairs aren't always an exact science. May factors can be involved and sometimes it is a process of elimination and persistence to resolve an issue within the budget allowed. We are working with the owner of the property to find the best solution. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. Teresa Doyle

We had a terrible experience with Doyle roofing. First, the estimator Byron came out to inspect our roof in June 2022. He said it was in good shape and just needed patching. He estimated the roof at 12 years old. We accepted the bid for the roof repair and he said he would schedule it, and that it could take awhile as they were busy. Fine. We waited for weeks with no contact, expecting that Doyle roofing would contact us to tell us the repair date. Nothing. Finally called them in early August and they said it had never been scheduled, the estimator had forgotten. We asked to be scheduled but again they said they were busy so they couldn't do it till late Sept early Oct, another two month delay. There were no apologies or urgency regarding this mistake in their service. The repair was scheduled for early Oct, but then a few days before they called and had to push it out further. Finally, in late Oct they came to do the repair. Now, four months later in Feb 2023, we open up the ceiling to repair drywall/insulation damage from the original leak, and find that the leak is still happening. We call to say we are upset that the repairs that we waited so long for were not even done correctly. We have tenants who have moved temporarily and husband has taken time off work out so that we can do the drywall repairs - it took a lot of coordination and we have very short window of time to get this fixed. Doyle's response was that they would "put it on the schedule"! And not even the repair, just an estimator. I explain that we need it done now, and they manage to schedule for the next day. There is a light dusting of snow overnight, and they cancel via text. I call to find out what's going on, and they say it was just an estimator coming not a repair person anyway! It's a sunny, calm, clear day, the dusting of snow will be gone in hours, so there's no reason an estimator couldn't at least assess it. I am very frustrated so they put me on with a female office manager w

After the initial estimate was submitted last year, no authorization was ever sent back to our company. We do require some type of written consent to commence work and to schedule. We do not schedule any type of work without it. It plainly states it in our emails. Once we received it, we did put the work on the schedule in order of acceptance. We do not offer full warranty coverage on roofs we did not install. We are more than willing to come out and go over the repair work, but did have to reschedule todays appointment due to snow coverage. We always send a supervisor out first (prior to scheduling a tech) if there is an additional issue.

Wow! Thank you for taking the time to post this publicly. One of our core company values is "We will replace no roof before its time." A new roof is expensive. No need to replace it until it can't do its job anymore. We're glad we could help!

A friend recommended Doyle for my roof inspection. I did get a second estimate, and Doyle was the least expensive and most honest estimate. Just because someone give you a flashy looking computer AI inspection report, doesn't mean it is an honest inspection.

Jim was very responsive when I called for him to check my roof. After discussing the issue briefly, he went up to inspect the roof and came back down with a verbal recommendation. The work was completed to my satisfaction. I saw what all was done with the photos taken before and after the job was done. I appreciate them taking the pictures as I requested. The two workers did a great job working as a team. I would have Doyle Roof Masters do my roof work including routine maintenance and repairs next time. Thank you, Jim.
