  Take a look at the images I included. Do you see how those beams are literally sagging into a “V” and falling apart? There’s no way this company didn’t see this issue when they fully replaced our flat & sloped roof. They should have informed of us of the state of the beams that are collapsing when they ripped up the roof to replaced wood. There is absolutely no way they didn’t see it. They promised a project manager would be there with crews every day, there wasn’t. I called them to inform them, they sent someone out, she said she would get us a contractors name to fix it, she never did. Nor did she or the office return my calls. This is a serious issue. It’s a structural issue & it is unacceptable to leave the roof like this when we paid approx $60,000 for this job. My family member is a general contractor, he came to help us and he was furious that they took advantage of us and that they did a poor job of replacing the wood they attached on the top of the roof. My family member said they took advantage of us, especially being women, and distinctive will do it to you too. My GC family member also showed me what a poor job they did replacing wood right above this sagging V of wood planks, making it even more labor intensive and costly to fix. Once they get full payment, don’t expect any help from them about issues they absolutely saw & should have been proactive about in the first place.

  Mr. Irgon, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry your experience did not meet your expectations, and after reviewing your project file, we would like to provide some additional context. Your contract was signed on February 26, 2025. Selecting the right tile was an important part of the process, and we worked closely with you through multiple options before your final selection was made on April 29. Your HOA approval was received on May 13, your permit was submitted on May 20, and it was approved by the City on June 4. Each step needed to be completed before moving forward with the next phase. Once the permit was approved, we discussed installation timing given your concerns about potential weather delays during Florida's rainy season. We offered the option to postpone the project until after the rainy season, while also explaining that we routinely complete projects during this time when weather conditions allow. You chose to proceed, and we scheduled your installation accordingly. Tear-off began on June 18, your new tile roof was completed on July 9, and your gutters were installed on July 18. The remaining delay involved the City's review of a specialty miter-cut tile installation detail. We worked directly with the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA) to assist in resolving the matter with the building department. Your final inspection was approved on August 24, and your final walkthrough was completed on August 29. Throughout the project, we remained committed to communication by coordinating your showroom visit, sharing tile options, and providing updates throughout the HOA approval, permitting, construction, and inspection processes. We also provided accommodations beyond our contractual obligations, including credits exceeding our standard allowance for unforeseen wood and stucco repairs discovered during tear-off, complimentary fascia and stucco painting, and a complimentary roof cleaning.   What an untrue and unfortunate statement from this client. Communications were superb throughout the project. Although client was late with every single payment, not paying as per terms of the Contract since he had to wait for the mortgage company to release the funds in order to pay us, we patiently waited for every payment. Interesting enough that client acknowledges that we repaired the roof in acceptable time and has no complaints about our performance or quality of installation. Upon completion of roof installation on Sept 13th, client reported issues with tire damages, broken fountain and broken landscaping lights. We gave him the green light to fix the tires and said we would pay for the repairs. We immediately offered to take care of the issues; replaced the broken landscaping lights, asked for a receipt for tire repairs so that amount could be reimbursed and started looking for a fountain replacement. Client advised that he would need to find the fountain which was from a special vendor, assured us he would go pick up the fountain himself and did not want us to handle any of it. Over a month later, in late October after several follow ups, and having heard from the client that he is out of town constantly and has not found the time nor the vendor for the fountain we find the vendor and send him the website address for verification. We suggest crediting the amount for a new fountain to the final invoice as well as the tire repair cost to complete the job. We receive no answers from the client. By late November without receiving any responses from the client after several attempts through email and text, we verify which fountain model and size client had order from the vendor several years ago and we place the order for a new fountain in the amount of $845.00. In good faith contacted the fountain manufacturer directly, ordered and paid for the fountain still with no confirmation from Mr. Reynolds that we would be able to settle matters.   Finding a good and reliable roofing company is not easy, so I was very happy when a neighbor recommended Distinctive Roofing to us. From beginning to end, the entire process was incredibly smooth. The owner came to our house personally, explained everything in detail, and took the time to answer all of our questions. What impressed me the most was their project planning. Everything was so well organized and thought out, which made the whole experience much easier than I expected. The communication was also excellent. I was actually out of the country while the roof was being replaced, and everything was handled through email without any issues. They kept me updated throughout the entire process, sent pictures along the way, and emailed me the results of the different inspections. I never felt like I had to chase anyone for an update. When I came back from my trip, I had a brand-new roof! It was honestly amazing to know that everything had been completed while I was away. A few days later, the owner came by personally to drop off all the warranties and paperwork and to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. There were a couple of minor things that needed attention, and they are already being addressed quickly. The entire team was professional, responsive, organized, and reliable. Most importantly, they did what they said they were going to do, correctly and on time. I’m very happy with our new roof and would definitely recommend Distinctive Roofing to anyone looking for a roofing company they can trust!
