  Expensive and Low quality work. Bathroom vent fans not vented outside, roof flashing bent and held on with nails, found leeks behind gutters due to improper install of flashing. Sales didn't properly express to installers the special requests. Check the agreement carefully that you've signed. Overall it could of been better if they slowed down and did quality work. It's expensive and low quality. Found out after install was completed I could of got a ridge vent installed for free.

  I have a No Soliciting sign posted and two days in a row it was blatantly ignored when someone from your company not only knocked, but also rang the bell. If we were shopping for a new roof, this company would not be considered because of their impolite solicitation tactics.

  I find it funny that some people are saying they couldn't get a response from Deschutes Roofing, because they won't leave me alone. A couple of months ago, some very friendly guys came out to ask if I wanted an inspection and estimate, which I said yes to. Another very friendly guy came to do the inspection, and gave me an estimate which I felt was very high. They wanted almost $20k to do my roof, and I don't have a particularly large house. I told them I don't have that kind of funds, and they waffled and "made calls" until we got down to $15k and financing at $200 a month. I told them I would think about it and discuss it with my roommates. I had gotten a couple of calls from the guy that did our inspection to follow up, so a few days later, I let him know that I was no longer interested as I wouldn't be able to afford it at this time. Well, apparently this fell on deaf ears. I continued to get calls daily, sometimes multiple times daily, which I started to ignore as I had told them I was not interested. This went on for WEEKS until I blocked his number. Eventually, he showed up TO MY HOUSE! I was out and arrived home as he was standing on my porch. I just went and drove around my neighborhood until he left because I was so angry. When I came back, he was gone and had left a letter on my door. Finally, I thought that was the end of it. Well, lo and behold... someone else showed up at my door AGAIN a couple of days ago! I also specifically have a large "NO SOLICITING" sign which was ignored. I just didn't answer the door. I know it was Deschutes Roofing because they left a card. Seriously, I am not interested! Leave me alone!!!

  Called told the girl what I needed done, waited a week. Called back told the girl what I needed again then Mike called an said our price would be to high for such a small job. I was just seeing how you treat people I really need the whole house done.

  The crew was efficient and courteous. The best I’ve seen. They stripped and re-roofed my entire house and garage and replaced 4 skylights in 6 hrs. They cleaned up after the work was done as if they’d never been there. The heart and soul of the crew is the G.M., Pete. It is obvious that he respects his crew and they, him. I’m very picky and asked him to come back for a couple of things. He and the crew were back out within days to tweak a couple of items and made it clear that if there was anything else in the future, just let him know. Their follow up was impressive. Do yourself a favor and use Deschutes!

  Deschutes did a quick and terrific job replacing my roof at a price that allowed me to get it done a year or two earlier than I thought I could afford it. The team powered through and completed it in one day despite site difficulties. I'm so happy, and frankly, relieved that they were able to satisfy my every need with this project!

  From the transparent quote to the spotless clean-up, I was very pleased with my experience. Michael did a fabulous job providing roof options for our home and explaining what would change. Pete lead the crew to success in less than two days. The guys were respectful of our home and polite to our neighbors. In fact, one of them is going to use Deschutes for their roof based on how good ours looks :)

  On the positive side: the crew finished reroofing the house and garage in less than a day. On the negative side: 1. I had skylights (SL) replaced. My existing (SL’s) had remotely operated shades underneath them that were separate from the SL’s themselves. I was told that the new SL’s had the shade “built-in” and are the only type available these days. I was charged for the upgraded SL’s. After the installation, I asked how the new shades operate. “Oh, we found a couple of SL’s w/o built in shades so we installed that version.” Unfortunately, the crew had ripped out the battery packs for my existing Shades and tossed them in the dumpster. I was never reimbursed for the difference in cost between the more expensive SL vs. the type they installed. 2. The flashing around one of the new SL’s was warped/tweaked w/ installation and obvious from ground level. 3. One of the issues I expressed to the salesman on the initial inspection was that rain is getting behind the rain gutter and dripping down the fascia. Over the long term this leads to rotting fascia. The fix should have been to install a wider drip edge that overlapped the back edge of the gutter. They didn’t so it still drips badly. 4. This issue is to a lesser degree but after the crew left, I never got a call from Deschutes asking for feedback about my experience with them. If it was my Company, getting feedback about how satisfied the customer was with their work would be an important part of customer service.

  All of my interactions with Deschutes Roofing has been great, from the initial meeting with their sales representative to the supervisor for our project. They provided a high quality service and completed the project on time. I would highly recommend Deschutes Roofing.
