I had a good feeling about the company based on reviews but noticed that the installers were not putting she shingles on according to the directions on the package (which is very clear) after looking at the roof and noticing that it looked bad. I called Tim right away and basically he said that is how he's always done it and does not plan on changing, even though the type of shingle we got states clearly IN RED LETTERS warning to install in a certain pattern. Tim was very difficult to talk to after that, he was proud of his faulty install. Note that neither he nor the project manager was there majority of the time. Communicating with his crew was very difficult. Tim has since made harassing phone calls and threats. Go somewhere else for your roofing needs!! You shouldn't have to but make sure they are installing the shingles correctly, its on every package.

Yet the CertainTeed Rep David R. Mapes inspected your whole entire roof and provided you written full manufacturer guarantees that they stand behind all warranties and said it was a good installation. We asked if we could somehow remedy the situation and you wouldn't allow us. You even bragged earlier in the day about how you shorted another contractor money while he was installing your windows. You literally watched our crew like a hawk all day and then brought this issue up at the 11th hour. We know the game you played. Seems like a pattern. By the way you still owe us $9,000. Maybe we'll put a lien on your house and take you to court.

We recently had our roof replaced by Des Moines Area Roofing and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Tim and his crew did an outstanding job on a complex roof, and completed the work quickly without cutting corners. …

Had tim come out and look at my roof. I thought I needed a whole new roof. He was honest and told me I didnt need a new roof I just needed more ventilation. Got me worked in quickly and even with heat index of over 100 degrees they still got the job done quickly.

We had a solar array installed on our house and had multiple leaks above our son's bedroom. After multiple attempts to get it fixed, the solar company called Tim with Des Moines Area Roofing to figure out what was going on. Tim immediately figured out what the problem was and worked with us and the solar company on the best way to get it repaired. He was very understanding and easy to work with and you can tell he really cares about the homeowner's needs and the quality of work that is being done on your home. Tim and his crew fixed the problem in a very timely manner. The best part of this is NO LEAKS! I would highly recommend Des Moines Area Roofing to anyone having any sort of roofing issues. Thanks again Tim and the team at Des Moines Area Roofing!

After the strong winds we had this past week, a couple of shingles were broken and loose. I was concerned since there was precipitation foretasted soon. Des Moines Area Roofing was able to get someone out that day, and kept me advised when they were going to be there. Thank you!!!

Tim and his crew did an excellent job. I had them do a commercial flat rubber roof and it only took them a couple days. Highly recommend
