  I recently called this roofing company to get an inspection done on my roof. The appointment was scheduled for Friday and cancelled later that day and rescheduled by the same gentleman for the following Monday, he never showed up so I had his number , I called and he said he had forgot to put me on the schedule. Terrible communication and customer relations from this guy. I guess they didn't need my business!

That said, we checked our customer database and cannot find any record of your name or appointment. It also appears you may be located in Wichita, Kansas. Heartland Roofing, Siding, and Solar is based in Des Moines, Iowa, and we do not service the Wichita area. Could you please confirm if this review was intended for a different company?   Heartland has been a disappointment to work with. In 2021, we contracted with them to have siding, roofing, and gutter work done and signed the contract in June. After the contact was signed, we received poor communication the entire process. We were shunted and moved around various times on the schedule, and the work wasn't completed until late September with unannounced visits to get work done at our home. I am pretty flexible and tried working with their team but during all of the work, the lead supervisor was not on site and when we pointed out shoddy workmanship, a supervisor finally came to our home to fix issues himself. This November, due to a faulty flashing install, our roof began leaking, and it took a week before anyone could come inspect the issue. Since then, we've been passed from one supervisor to another, and no plan laid out to my family on the actions that would be taken have been followed. I strongly encourage those who value their time and their money to look elsewhere. Integrity is clearly not a value of this company, and their cornerstone of quality is a disappointment in disguise. I wish I could go back in time to save myself this headache.

  I experience with Kyle Olson the financial controller. My house was closing on 10/6. I had set up a payment plan to help pay until the house sold. With all the expenses to get the house ready to sell the October payment didn’t clear. I spoke to Kyle on 10/5 told him I was closing in 10/6 and the balance would be paid. My closing was delayed due to them putting a lien on the sale to get their money. When I called and spoke to Kyle on 10/10 due to my payment being taken out of my checking after already being paid in full. Kyle’s word well we get a little freaked when a house we roofed is closing. Funny he never said that to me on 10/5 one day before my house sold and I even said my house was closing that day. I had to call to ask when the overpayment check was going to be mailed. Heard “It accidentally got mailed to the house you sold. Will have to stop payment and reissue you another one.” Funny it got mailed there since all other communication has been mailed to my current address. Then I naively third party endorsed the overpayment check I finally got, of course no bank would touch it. I have been single over 10 years so havent shared any accounts with anyone recently. When I called and said I had messed up and our (significant other and I) bank would touch a third part check, Kyle made me feel so stupid and small. His words” well your bank should deposit for you.””Did you have your name on the account he was trying to deposit the check into?” Then I got a whole lesson in how joint accounts work. I did say a lot of choice words to him. He finally said.” If you want to mail the check you endorsed back we can reissue you another one”. The first words he should have said were. “ I’m sorry that happened and we can absolutely resolve this issue. I don’t like men who make women feel small and stupid. Shows no character and arrogance. The roof looks great but the rest of the customer service was horrible!

  I wish I could give negative stars. My deck looked HORRIBLE after they "fixed it" and I had to have someone else come out and fix it. When they did my gutters they left the old gutters just laying in my yard. They never scheduled anything with me, just randomly showed up. I've called 4 times to ask them to get the old gutters out of my yard and still nothing. Extremely disappointed with customer service as well as the poor quality of work from them. Go elsewhere!!

I've reviewed your project with our team. You had mentioned you’d called in four times, but I'm not seeing any calls coming into either our office or field staff since the job was completed until the day you’d left the review. It looks like when you called in on Tuesday morning, August 8th, we were able to get out there the same day take care of any additional cleanup. From that point, our production manager scheduled a meeting with you for this morning to walk through the project to take care of any remaining items that you were unhappy with, but when he arrived, he was unable to get a hold of you. Please give us a call to reschedule, and we are more than happy to come out and take care of any issues. Again, I apologize for the experience you had, but we will do everything we can at this point to address the issues on your home. Thank you.

  We started our siding repair in March and it is still not completed. We have had multiple meetings with them to point out problems. We have sent photos to show what is not done to our satisfaction. They have tried to get the money from the insurance company saying that the job is complete when it is not.

  The roof looks great and the crew cleaned up the area nicely. Dave Anderson was the project manager and he kept me informed of when the project would start and made the extra effort to answer our questions. Jason, the site manager, also did a great job of keeping us informed of the progress of the project and answering our questions. The crew and office staff were very knowledgeable and very pleasant to interact with.

  Communication was excellent. All of the individuals I spoke to or worked with were great at keeping me informed in what their schedule was, the work that needed to be done, and when it was complete.   My new roof and gutters look great. I ended up saving quite a bit by going with a company which can bundle solar panel removal and reinstallation with re-roofing. Weather was a factor that played into multiple re-schedules and communication could have been quite a bit better. What was supposed to take 3 days ended up taking place over the course of several weeks, often with little or no forewarning about when workmen would show up. The vents that were installed were not what I understood they would be, and I still have not cleaned up the debris inside my (locked) garage. I recall being told a line of vents along the roof line would be installed, but that is not what happened, and I don't notice much difference in terms of the heat being trapped in the upstairs of my garage, so that's the biggest disappointment, but it may be based on my misunderstanding of what was conveyed to me. It also appeared that tasks were subcontracted out, something I was not told in advance. All that said, everything else looks great and I'm happy with the quality and the price.
