  UPDATE: A major test of a company is how they stand by their work after the fact. Over a year after the work was completed it was discovered that D-Wing had left a sizable gap open at the center of the roof ridge line without any OSB or substrate board of any kind. Shingles were placed over the gap but there was no solid support underneath - just a thin layer of shingles only (also some exposed nail heads). This was not a design feature or part of any ridge vent system. This gap presented a potential vulnerability and is not standard practice. This was an issue that wasn't addressed at the time of the work by D-Wing or even shared with me as the owner so I might have the opportunity to discuss or address. I would definitely have wanted this to adhere to code. It didn't take long for animals to spot the vulnerable spot and tear at it to gain entry. The animals specifically targeted the spot that D-Wing left uncovered with substrate. My initial experience with D-wing was relatively positive (except for some issues related to scheduling delays and job site cleanup) so I was surprised when they refused to make this right. They put on a temporary patch but refused to complete an actual fix under the workmanship warranty and then attempted to charge $500 for a full repair. D-Wing continued to claim "animal damage not covered under warranty", refusing to acknowledge the workmanship issue that led to the problem. When you make a big investment like a roof replacement, you put time in researching but at some point have to trust that the work will be done and stood by. I don't think anyone would want to have to pay for a fix to work they had already paid for. The response I kept getting was "this is animal damage." It’s like a mechanic replacing your car door but forgetting to reinstall the rubber seal. When rainwater leaks in and damages the interior, they can’t just say they don’t cover water damage — the problem stems from the missing seal. In this case, the

  I am very sorry if a D-Wing truck drove is such an erratic manner. We are based in Aurora, IL, and I don't understand how one of our trucks could even be in Dubuque. I will look into this. In the meantime, I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving.

  D-wing installed my siding and claimed 10 year warranty. They have had to come out a couple times to repair the siding that had fallen down. After the recent storms, I needed them to repair it AGAIN. They claimed storm damage was not covered warranty and I would have to pay for the repair. I chose not to use them for the repair.

  We are very sorry you are not happy that D-Wing did not honor the manufacturers warranty for the siding that blew off your home in the recent excessive wind storm. The winds were documented over 70mph. Unfortunately we are not the manufacturer of the product. Situations like this can be very frustrating.   This photo is of the dryer vents D wing installed. The photo was taken after the vent flap was removed. Two roof professionals stopped by without any tools and checked with their hands and stated nothing was wrong. Both of them are unprofessional and not knowledgeable about the basic fire hazard. I had a terrible experience with their service. Isn't this real fire hazard?

  Dylan and his team were absolutely wonderful to work with. Dylan was friendly, accommodating, and personable from start to finish. He went above and beyond to answer all my questions and made sure I was comfortable with the work that needed to be done. His team was just as great. They were super professional, punctual, and truly caring. They did an amazing job painting my home after terrible storm damage. I’m truly grateful for all their hard work and for making my house feel like home again.   I was impressed from the first phone call until the Job was completed. Kyle was the supervisor and worked with me and the crew daily to insure everything was meeting my expectations. Very pleasant to work with. Sergio's, on site crew did excellent work and kept the site clean as they went. I'm beyond happy with the final results.

  Kyle was awesome. Besides working through the unbearable heat - Kyle was professional and competent throughout our project. We had a small project per se - but Kyle gave it all his attention as if it was a large project. A few areas were more difficult than anticipated and Kyle used his expertise to find a solution.   I have had D-Wing handle multiple issues at multiple homes. They were always on time, willing to help no matter the size of the job, and in some instances Dave did the work himself. When he replaced my roof, which my insurance refused to cover, he was one of two companies that seemed to have any sympathy at all for what I was dealing with. His price was fair and he was willing to work with me. Dave genuinely cares about his customers and their satisfaction. He was extremely attentive before, during and after the job.

  I selected D Wing after interviewing 4 contractors. I was a roofer for 8 summers throughout HS and college...I knew what quality looked like. Well, DWing called me and set up delivery of materials the day before the job. Roofing team showed up on time, including Mike - the supervisor for the job. The roofers all had more than 10 years experience...and they were real pros. I was pleasantly delighted at the quality of their work....which I observed for the whole day. From tear off of the old roof, to placement of ice and water shield and underlayment, to drip edge, from shingling to ridge vents and replacement of chimney flashing.....they exceeded the quality of any roof job i had ever seen.....and i have seen a lot of roofs installed. Their clean up was impeccable. Needless to say, when my sons and my friends are looking for roof replacements, I will steer them to D-Wing Construction. Thanks to Lorenzo, Mike, Dave and their crews for an outstanding job.

  D-Wing Construction did an excellent job on our house. They repainted the interior & exterior, replaced all the exterior trim, built out crown and workshopped alternatives when issues were identified. Their team was incredibly hard working and meticulous & our project manager Dylan was very responsive. I highly recommend them, they were worth every penny.
