My father contracted D & R in Decatur, Il for roof repair. He got a $4k quote from them and requested he purchase the lumber himself. D & R agreed, but when they repaired the roof, they used their own lumber and billed him an extra $1k for …

DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH D&R ROOFING!!! The treat their customers like garbage and have refused to give the status of their contracts. I spoke with the owner “Don” today who was rude, disrespectful and didn’t seem to care that he had ignored me for several weeks!!! They do not return emails or phone calls. Stay away from D&R Roofing, and find a company that actually values their customers.

I have very limited experience with D & R. I'm sure they would have done a reasonable job, if I could have gotten them to return my phone call. I understand business can get busy, but a phone call takes very little time and it could mean repeat and/or new customers.

I reviewed this place once before and it got deleted. I had them come measure my roof for a job and never heard back from the guy. He said he would get me a quote and never did. I called them and left a message a few times and they never called me back. Unreal! They wasted my time. I'd never refer this place to anyone.

After bad hail storm damaged my house I contacted these folks. They came out the same day to evaluate my roof. They took pictures and described the damage to me. I needed the whole roof replaced. My insurance company agreed. Things are so high these days. I thought their pricing was very reasonable. They were so decent to work with; kind, not pushy; offered their opinions but let me make the choices. When the crew came within a few days (8 or 9 people) they went right to work; did everything in one long day and were so polite and mindful of respecting my property and keeping things picked up and clean. They came back a day or so later to check all out and make sure everything looked right. I built this house and I don't think I've ever had a better experience with a contractor. They are very decent people.

They are great to work with and made the whole process very easy! I would highly recommend D&R for any roofing project you have. The crew showed up on time and had the whole roof done and everything picked up in a day, very efficient and clean.
