  I made an appointment online, left work early to get back home for the appointment, just to find out the guy scheduled for my appointment was off today after waiting for them to get to my house. Then the girl on the phone decided to be rude about the whole situation asking for photos of the needed repairs after they already booked the appointment. Horrible experience.

We understand that you adjusted your workday to be home for your scheduled appointment, and we apologize that we were unable to meet with you as expected. When you contacted our office and explained that the repair involved one or two pieces near the peak of your home, our team asked for photos. Given the inconvenience we had already caused, our intention was to use the photos to better understand the repair and see if we could provide pricing over the phone, helping to speed up the process and avoid taking up any more of your time. We apologize if that intention was not communicated clearly during the call. We appreciate you bringing this experience to our attention. We are addressing the communication and scheduling issues internally, as this is not the experience we want any homeowner to have with Couto Construction.

  If I could give negative stars on this company I would. I recently had damage to my house and called this company for a quote on the damage to send to my insurance company. At first it was great. They showed up on time and checked out the damage and did the measurements. When he was leaving he said that I would get the estimate in 24 hours and if the insurance has an issue with the quote that they will help fight to get the money to repair. It took 3 weeks to get him to send me a quote. I contacted them several times in those 3 weeks and nothing happened. I even went to their office in Warwick, RI. No one works in that office. It is just a sticker on the window of the building. It wasn’t until someone said they will contact his manager that I received the quote. My insurance company contacted them to get a break down of the price. Again it took 3 more weeks and me calling again for them to answer my insurance company. They told my insurance company they don’t do interior work and were unsure why or how I got an estimate from them. They strung me and my insurance company along for over a month and delayed work on my house because of it. They did not contact me or say they did not do that type of work. I do not recommend them to anyone for any type of work on their home.

  We had a representative from Cuto Construction come out to quote a sizeable job he did not take any pictures or ask me how many widows I wanted to replace seemed like i was taken up his time and he NEVER provided us with a quote of any kind hopefully know one runs into this problem with this company. WE WILL NOT REACH OUT TO THEM FOR ANY KIND OF ESTIMATES IN THE FUTURE

  One of their trucks was out in front of my house for an hour and a half blocking the street. Every time a car needed to pass I had to listen to the annoying Beep Beep Beep. Then, the driver turned around twice in my driveway and obviously does not know how to drive a truck and kept running over my lawn and leaving deep truck tracks. When I had words with him he was flippant and rude. I would stay away from this company. He said he would rake out the tracks, but instead picked up the neighbors bin and drove off.

  Rodrigo and Claudinei were very professional and got everything done in a timely manner. They communicated well throughout the whole job. Unfortunately, the job they completed was not the job we hired Couto Construction to do. We asked to have the flashing replaced on our skylights, and Couto reshingled and replaced the underlayment surrounding the skylights instead. Our leak has gotten worse since the 'repairs' and our house has taken on considerable water damage. I have been calling for over two weeks to get them to come by to fix the issue, and I still have yet to hear when they'll be by to perform the job we asked them to complete.

  1 star is unfair yes but 5 stars is a bit unrealistic. -instead of loosening bracket for wood stove they just yanked on it. Told them just not to bother with it and had the project manager help me fix it later. Was left crooked and exposed overnight while we get lots of wild life activity. -terrible communication. Never had a clue what was going on for scheduling. -cleanup was poor. Nails in my driveway that got it my tires and I didn't notice until I was kicking leaves and heard metal clang. -dumpster was here far to long. I have a small driveway. -sales tries to lock you in immediately but you should certainly shop around. Sales said 2 weeks out of we locked in immediately but they came within a week. This is both cringe and good. -i am very mixed. My actual review would be 3 stars if they were not currently 5 stars with 0 negative reviews. -maybe I got unlucky -overall the work is good and they test ed leak spots that I was concerned about. -If I didn't have nails in my tire and driveway I wouldn't be writing this review at all since the experience was decent and I only write reviews for terrible or excellent service.

  From beginning until completion our experience with everyone was amazing, I’ve never dealt with a company like this during my 21 yrs owning my property, li NEVER felt pressured once, I told our story and expressed what we could afford and they made it happen !!! We received a call asking if they could come a week earlier to complete our roof, installers were there exactly on time totally professional and courteous, 30 min a later I met the foreman of the job Freddie Canadinha who went over everything and kept me informed during the day !!! They removed 3 layers of shingles over 50 yrs of roofing, they left at 750 pm and you’d never know they were here Freddie then returned the following day went on my roof, inspected it and sent me photos of the work completed !!!! I truly cannot say enough (COUTOS to Joe Raposo, Freddie Canadinha, Elijah, the talented installers, and all the people behind the scenes you have made this one extremely satisfied customer, I’ll proudly leave my sign on the lawn until it’s faded THANK YOU 🙏

  I used Couto Construction back in 2021 when I replaced my roof (see my review under their New Bedford, MA, location). This time around, I had called them back for new windows, vinyl siding, and gutters. Tyler Mello was my sales rep once again, and I really appreciated that because I knew that if Tyler was still with the company, it must be a great place to work. Carlos Pereira was the project manager, and he was a dream to deal with throughout the whole process. He was very communicative, which made me feel confident in the process. I made a last-minute change to a window and they took it in stride. Even the office staff was very helpful in getting me the paperwork I needed for the additional project. For the actual siding and window installation, I had Jose and two other employees at my home for a little over a week. Phenomenal isn’t a strong enough word to describe the work that they did to my house. All of my neighbors, family, and friends have told me how much they love the way my home looks. I’ve even had several people tell me that they will recommend Couto in the future based on the wonderful job they did. The project actually started - and finished - on the days that they said it would. The team worked so hard, even in the rain. The additional project that I added on was tiling to my shower after I chose to go from a full-size bathroom window to a hopper. Joel came to do the tiling and he did a fantastic job. It looks like there was never a full-size window in my shower! I felt so bad for him because it was absolutely down-pouring the day he came, but he made sure to take his shoes off every single time he entered my home. The last piece of the total project was tightening a few loose ends. There was a gap at the bottom of my storm doors because Couto had to move the doors forward with the siding and trim. Additionally, an already-damaged wood panel in my dining room got shaken up during the construction process and cracked. Josimar and Rodrigo came to my
