  I contacted Cosy to get a quote for having two bathroom vent pipes replaced in my attic. The company called me back and gave me a price for replacement of the two vents, and repair of the insulation they would pack down. They also provided me a second price for topping up all of the insulation rather than just touching up what was packed down. I called back after measuring my insulation and let them know that it’s already sufficient and I would just need the vents done. I was then told that they could not do the vents. Of course I was confused, so I asked why not and they told me that he was too busy and it was not worth his time to come do such a small job, and that I should find someone else. I wouldn’t waste another dime on this outfit and this speaks volumes to the amount of greed that exists within this company. I need a new roof on my 2500sq ft house next year but I wanted to upgrade my vents for this winter. If Cosy had come and done a professional job for an honest price they would have earned my business next year. Unfortunately for them I will be taking my money elsewhere and relentlessly steering anyone I know who needs any roofing work done away from them. *Update* - the reply from the owner below is simply untrue and proves my point of his arrogance by apologizing for me getting his words misconstrued. He offered to do the job for me when it was a larger scope and higher cost but once it was clear I didn’t require all of it and it wouldn’t be as profitable he took back his word and wished me luck on finding someone else to do the job. When I said in disbelief and very clearly on the phone “so you mean it’s not worth your time to come do a small job like this?” He replied yes that’s correct.

The truth is, we have no availability to take on additional projects like that at this moment. I recall mentioning during our conversation that if we were to proceed with your insulation, we could also address the vents simultaneously. Unfortunately, due to our current workload, we are unable to accommodate your request. I apologize if my words were misconstrued or taken out of context. I genuinely hope you're able to find the assistance you require.

  Topped up the insulation in the attic. Very professional and reasonbly priced. I had several quotes. They were very courteous and cleaned up well after. But I did ask them to inspect the roof and they said there was no problems unfortunately there are several leaks that are easily spotted from the outside and they had access to the inside and the outside

  If I could give them no stars, or perhaps negative, I would. So happy that all You Five Star raters have had such a great experience, and so glad that all went well for You. Ours did not, Mike? Mike Barry: I appreciate this second reply. The reference to your parental issues in your initial Google reply (which you have now deleted) was worrisome. As a word of caution to others, I must respond to your now second response and correctly state all the facts. I agree that the problems we have experienced are not as a result of the shingles you installed. The problems we have experienced are as a result of you installing two non-traditional attic vents for our neighbour and your deviation from the original design of our duplex, by your suggestion/installation to a closed versus open valley. between our house and our neighbour’s house. Your suggestion of a snow rake is insulting, since in the 18 years we lived in our house, before your work. we never experienced these problems, despite having many heavy snowfalls.

  Hi Jamie, I'm sorry, but the issue you are complaining about has nothing to do with the scope of work we performed. Installing new shingles cannot cause ice damming. I would recommend removing the snow (with a snow rake) from around the valley when we experience large snow falls. Stay safe, Mike Barry (780) 460-2433

  I dealt with Peter of Cozy Insulation and Roofing regarding an insulation upgrade to R60 to both my house and garage. Also included new exhaust fans and exhaust pipe modifications to my house bathrooms. Peter was the estimator, foreman and worker. Peter was friendly, very informative and gave me a reasonable quote without being pushy or trying to snowball me. He explained to me a few different options along with prices. We booked a convenient date and time for the work. The work was done on time exactly and as per quote. On the job Peter and his crew were professional, tidy, respectful, friendly and informative. Very good people and good experience at a reasonable price with "no extra" costs (even with an unforeseen additional part and labour that was required). For sure would use again. Thanks!!!

  Professional, prompt and extremely pleasant and reasonable to work with. Cozy has done roofing, soffits, eaves troughs and just recently repaired a damaged turbine from the high winds on the weekend. Highly recommend!

  The crew showed up when they said and were very professional and polite. We are more than satisfied. They got us in earlier than expected and gave us time to pay our invoice. They charged what they quoted. There was no hidden costs. I highly recommend Cosy Insulation.

  I highly recommend Cosy! Mike and his team were fantastic—professional, friendly, and easy to work with.   Update: we just had insulation blown onto our attic today on a 30 degree day. It’s only been a few hours and already I notice a huge difference in the temperature of our bedroom. It was 26 degrees in the bedroom at 9am, this evening it’s 28 outside and it’s 21 degrees in the bedroom. These guys do incredible work. These guys are fantastic! There are A LOT of choices out there when it comes to roofing. Mike really knows his stuff, and doesn’t pressure you, or trash talk the competition. Their prices are competitive and their warranty was hands down the best out there. We have had 3 roofs done by cosy, plus insulation blown into 2 attics. They did a great job.
