We hired Cleveland Aluminum and Exteriors to install vinyl siding over our existing Masonite siding, which had varying degrees of rot, and to replace 40 windows. We have always handled home projects ourselves but we are older now so we decided to bring in professionals for this major job since we'd never tackled something like this before. We expected a well-planned approach with coordinated structural modifications to ensure a high-quality, professional result. The initial estimate promised completion in 6 weeks, but the project dragged on for 14 weeks, far exceeding expectations. One positive note: A single worker was assigned to handle all 40 windows and their wrapping, and he did a good job. However, numerous issues arose with the quality of work and adherence to best practices. The estimate included repairing all rot before applying the new sheathing, but it seems this only covered "big" areas. Smaller rotten spots, particularly around the windows where the J-channels were installed, were ignored. As a result, the new materials were nailed into soft, compromised masonite, which raises serious concerns about long-term durability as well as mold growth since the rot will continue. Additionally, despite manufacturer recommendations that fascia—especially on gable ends—should never be face-nailed, my contractor insisted that face nailing was standard practice. I have multiple gables on my house and you can already see the dimpling on the fascia. So disappointing because they could have looked so good. And also disappointing that we had chosen a company that clearly did not follow established standards. Worse than that. They didn’t even know the standards and claimed that it was me that didn’t know what I was talking about. After all, they had been doing it their way for 30 years! The handling of our two balconies was particularly poor. The work was done in a haphazard manner. The caps on the short walls that butted against the main walls should have been c

Poor communication and disappointing workmanship. I had a new front door and storm door installed on October 10, 2025, for $4,400. The frame around the top windows was visibly uneven from day one. I called that Friday to say I could live with it if they offered a discount, but no one ever called me back. I called again the following Monday and spoke with Don, the owner, who said he’d reached out to the manufacturer and would let me know. I didn’t hear another word until October 30, when they suddenly called to say he’d be out that day to “fix it.” The fix made things worse. The plugs couldn’t be installed flush, they’re sticking out, and the door was scratched during the repair. The “solution” was to touch it up with paint. For $4,400, that’s unacceptable. Communication through this entire process was almost nonexistent, and I’m not completely satisfied with the finished product. I’m paying in full to close this out, but I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone based on the poor workmanship and lack of follow-through. I need my back door done as well but they have shown me they are not the ones to do it.

Do not use Cleveland Aluminum and Exteriors for siding. They use crews that don’t know what they’re doing and don’t care. Four months after installation and problems still not corrected.

Don is the owner of this company and I don’t say this lightly because it takes a lot for me to speak poorly of another human being but he is a very dishonest man, does not stand by his work and will put the almighty dollar before his reputation or any form of customer service. It takes very little to be an honest business owner and in the end you’ll make a lot more money because of it. Maybe someday he will change his ways- in the meantime STEER clear

About two years ago I had Cleveland Aluminum finish some siding, soffit and fascia work on our house. If you find any wood that need to be placed please do so, Normally, I would have done this myself but the height of the part of the house was just out of reach for me and buying or renting the equipment just did not make financial since. My wife and I had done the rest of the house ourselves, so we know what’s involved. About 6 months after they completed the job, part of the fascia on the new part of the house at peek came off. So, I made a call and without much fuss they came out and repaired it. Now, about 2 years later another part of the fascia has come off. Now, I am thinking these guys are not the professionals they claim to be. After some major prodding from my wife I call Cleveland Aluminum and of course I get what you would expect. We don’t warranty after 1 year. Now I know for a fact that Don was in my front yard telling me and my, “Don’t worry about it. It’s covered for 10 years.” Getting it writing is my motto when dealing with anything to do with your house from now. After some polite conversation, some pictures and so on. Don comes out and looks at and says: “Went by yesterday and looked. The wood is not dry rotted it is weathered. It is fine and does not need to be replaced. What got is wind damage to facia metal. We can send a crew out to replace if for $375.00.” So, now I am thinking to myself. My wife and I put up all the fascia on the rest of the house and not one piece has come off. Does that mean we are better at this job then the so called professionals are? Why would I pay them to do the job again? One of the definitions of insanity is: “Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.” On the good side of working with Cleveland Aluminum is working with Lisa. If you need any kind of information, have questions. She is very helpful. Old Fort, Tennessee

Be VERY careful calling these guys to do any work for you! Called to have them give us a proposal on a door install and they quoted us a $1500 exterior door. Before they left, they had me sign this "proposal" and said it would be several weeks before they could get it done, but would initiate the order. I called them less than a week later and asked them to cancel the work because I could get the job done for less than half their quote. They ("Don") informed me I would still be required to pay full price for the door, no matter what. I had to personally contact the door company and ask if they had begun work on this specific door. They had not, but reportedly had already "ordered materials", so told me I would probably have to pay a "restocking fee" of 25%...$200+!! For what? No materials sent. No materials consumed. All because I changed my mind and went with a cheaper option. If this company is in the business of nailing their customers who change their mind BEFORE anything is done... well, think twice before you call them.

Took forever to get the job done. Was not satified with the work. Didnt do what the contract stated would do and expected me to pay in full for a very crappy job. Then put me in collections for being week late to pay them for garbage

This company was able to give us the best piece on siding in Cleveland! The staff were all extremely helpful and knowledgeable. When we got home and realized the siding we ordered was the same color as our neighbors we immediately called and they were easily able to change it to a different color they had in stock and were very understanding and kind. Their delivery time was 1-2 days at the time; however, they were able to deliver right to our house the same day! They also sell some vinyl siding by the piece, so if we need a few extra we’d be able to pick them up. Excellent company and staff to work with!

CLEVELAND Aluminum does some of the best work in Bradley County. Added cedar shake siding to the bay window section of our house and did a tremendously neat job! Had some leaks in our wall and they repaired as they worked! They show up and stick with the job until you are completely satisfied. Great attitudes in office and in the field where the work is completed. You can trust them to do the work you agree to on the contract. They have done windows before and now siding for us and do great work! Uodate: 12/2021 they have also done two duplexes with replacement windows. They are so neat you can hardly tell old windows came out and the new ones put in place! No damage to walls or openings at all! They come when they say they will and are well worth waiting for.
