I previously posted this review to warn other homeowners about my personal experience with Chucktown Roofing Midwest and the representatives currently going door-to-door in Northwest Indiana following the recent storms. Unfortunately, what happened after I posted my review has given me an entirely new reason for concern. At approximately 9:00 AM on a SUNDAY, another individual representing himself as an “owner” of the company came to my private residence specifically regarding my Google review. During that interaction, I was threatened with legal action and a cease-and-desist over the concerns I had posted. That raises a serious question for me: Why would a legitimate, professional business respond to a customer's critical review by sending someone identifying himself as an owner to the customer's HOME at 9:00 on a Sunday morning to threaten legal action? There are many professional ways a business can dispute a review. They can respond publicly on Google, contact the customer through normal business channels, provide documentation correcting anything they believe is inaccurate, or have an attorney communicate in writing. Showing up at my home on a Sunday morning is not a response I expected from a professional business, and the experience only increased my concerns. For context, my original concerns began when a representative came to my home following the storms offering assistance with my roof and insurance claim. I was presented with a document described as a “Work Order.” After reading it carefully, I discovered that it contains substantial contractual provisions involving insurance proceeds, payment obligations, supplements, cancellation/liquidated damages, arbitration, attorney fees, and other obligations. I also raised concerns about individuals representing themselves to me as “owners” and my inability to independently reconcile those representations with the public business information I found. I posted my review so other homeowners could know abo

Chucktown Roofing did a wonderful job on our roof and gutters. They installed our new roof in one day including a thorough clean-up. The gutter crew led by Alex did an amazing job. And project manager Brett kept us informed every step of the way.

John and the Chucktown Roofing team worked with us to explain the process and replaced the roof in just 2 days. The team was professional and cleaned up leaving no signs they were ever there, outside of the new roof of course.

Hands down the best roofing company I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Communication and transparency can’t be beat. And after the install the crew took there time to clean up and make sure all nails and staples were picked up and they did a magnet sweep all the way my home. I’ll be referring them to everyone I know.

We had an excellent experience with Chucktown Roofing. From our first meeting, to coordinating with the insurance adjuster, to selection of the roof, to overseeing the installation. Brett kept us updated and informed every step of the way. He and John were knowledgeable and made the experience a great one. Very happy with the results.

When I had a question they were always prompt in answering. Brian was very knowledgeable and helped explain the process. During my install day I got updates on the progress and after completion they cleaned up everything like they were never there. If it wasn’t for my beautiful new roof I would’ve never known they where there

Working with Chucktown Roofing was honestly one of those rare situations where everything just flowed the way it should. They were on it from the start. Responsive, organized, no chasing, no confusion, just handled. The quality speaks for itself… clean, solid, and done right the first time. If you’re even debating who to go with, this is one of those teams that makes the decision easy.

Evansville's Older Homes Need the Right Roofing Company Chucktown Roofing is among Evansville roofers who specialize in the homes that define this city — the 1940s and 1950s ranches of Arcadian Acres, the Victorian-era architecture of Haynie's Corner, and established Vanderburgh County neighborhoods. When Evansville roofers arrive at an older home, the difference between a contractor who understands historic construction and one who doesn't shows fast — in the materials, flashing details, and inspection findings. What sets older Evansville homes apart: -- Original wood decking — damage spreads differently than on modern builds -- Period-appropriate materials preserve character and resale value -- Aging flashing around chimneys and dormers — a primary leak point after wind events -- Many homes in Arcadian Acres and Haynie's Corner have never had a full professional inspection What Chucktown Roofing Midwest brings: -- CertainTeed ShingleMaster Select certified — right materials for the home, not just the budget -- Experience with cedar shake, copper accents, and historic-compatible systems -- Honest findings — repair or replace, based on what the roof actually needs -- Full workmanship warranty, every job Serving Arcadian Acres, Haynie's Corner, Bayard Park, Riverside, and neighborhoods throughout Vanderburgh County.
