  I'm giving them one star. The reason I'm upset is because I've called them several times and they rarely answer to fix a leak in the work I'm doing. The first time they did answer, but when I told them why I was calling, they said they went to fix it and it wasn't done properly, so I called again and they don't answer. Honestly, they lack professionalism, since the way they respond to comments isn't appropriate, and the positive reviews they have are from family and friends.

  I had an appointment booked in advance. They never showed up or informed me what happened. No response to texting message and phone calls. By the way, I had to call several times to make the appointment and apparently they do not care even if you have an appointment.

  Chavez Roofing do not stand by their work and they will upcharge you from whatever their original quote is. It is a habit, even if nothing additional is added or wrong. I hired them to replace a flat roof. They ended up charging $4,000 more than the original estimate, they removed drains that were vital to the function of my flat roof even after telling me it would drain better then before, which it does not. It's now raining and the roof is not draining and there is massive pooling, and they won't come out to repair their mistake. I would be very cautious in hiring this company. Also, the drip edge they installed looked awful. They got tar on it, bent it in multiple places, and installed more seams then needed. They didn't provide any warning when installing about needing to straighten wood, but then after completing it, they blame the wood on the corners. I think they paid family and friends to write their other reviews. Maybe hire them if you don't care how your roof looks when finished.

  Hello Kevin, I am very sorry to hear that you feel like this and were unsatisfied with our services. Prior to us commencing work on your roof, we discussed your drainage system on a 0/12 pitched roof. We advised that without re-pitching your roof, it would be impossible to avoid water pooling on the roof. After providing you with a budget to re-pitch your roof, you decided not to move forward with the re-pitch as the quoted price exceeded your budget. We provided you with a less expensive option and add slope to several areas so that water can run down the scuppers to prevent as much water as possible from pooling on the roof. However, I warned you again that without a re-pitch, there was no way to entirely prevent water from pooling on the roof. You instructed us to proceed with the less expensive alternative which we did. We mentioned to you several times that there was going to be some water on the roof but most of it was going to be running down the scupper. We also discussed that we could not add any roof drains because your property does not have an attic as it is an open ceiling roof and open ceiling roofs do not have attics. You walked on the roof while we were working with a huge smile saying “everything looks amazing.” Throughout the roof installation process, you showed nothing but extreme satisfaction. On 05/03/22, we completed a final walk through together where we inspected the roof and you issued the final payment. On 07/06/22, you contacted me complaining about the drip edge metal (something you never complained about when we completed the final walk through). I told you that we were extremely busy but that I would give you a call when I could squeeze you in so that I can come to your property to address your concerns. On 08/08/22, you called me after you hired an unlicensed, uninsured, and unexperienced “contractor” to install new drip edge metal. As a courtesy to you, we went to your property on two occasions to help you because your unlic

  My review is long overdue, but Chavez Roofing absolutely deserves the recognition. When I was purchasing my first home in September 2025, my home inspection revealed partial roof damage. Chavez Roofing stood out from the rest because they were the only company that honestly assessed the situation and informed me that the roof needed to be completely replaced. Their thorough inspection and professional expertise gave me the information I needed to negotiate with the seller, who ultimately replaced the entire roof at no cost to me before closing. As a first-time homebuyer, this saved me thousands of dollars and provided tremendous peace of mind. From start to finish, the entire experience was outstanding, and they exceeded my expectations. I want to give a special thank you to Jimmy, the owner, and Librado, the Project Manager, for their professionalism, honesty, and excellent communication throughout the entire project. They were always available to answer my questions, explain the process, and make sure everything was done right. The entire crew was hardworking, respectful, and took great pride in their work. Every day they kept the job site clean and worked efficiently. Like any major roofing project, we ran into a couple of unexpected issues along the way, but what impressed me most was how Chavez Roofing handled them.   Recently have roof replaced. Extremely easy to communicate with. Was coordinating this from out of state and they were timely on all communication and responses on all our questions. This family run operation is top notch, you can feel the sense of ownership and pride. Exceptionally clean, very respectful of the property and neighboring homes. Can’t recommend them enough.   Chavez roofing repaired a significant and unexpected amount of water damage to the plywood that lies under our tile roof, in addition to replacing numerous broken and cracked tiles. They were careful to match the color of the replacement tiles with the original tiles, and probably saved us considerable money by replacing our roof before there were more than small and trivial leaks. Their crew worked fast, and completed our roof repair and replacement in a shorter time frame than originally predicted. If your goal is to end up with the best possible roof that will last for many years, they are a company to choose. Their workers were professional and cleaned up after each work day on our job. I recommend their services without qualification.

  Chavez Roofing recently completed the re-roofing for our house; our roof had not been replaced for over 40 years. We received three bids, and Chavez was the lowest. We wondered if by going with the "low-bid" we would compromise customer service and quality, but I am happy to report this was not the case. Chavez Roofing was highlight communicative and the job was very high quality! They are no-frills (like some of the other local roofing companies), but that means you are not paying for all those glossy marketing materials. I would HIGHLY recommend Chavez Roofing.

  We chose Chavez Roofing after looking for a roofer that services the South Bay. They won us over with their courteous and professional communication. They follow a step by step process to ensure the client is provided an accurate written quote, a contract, reasonable scheduling, before/after photos and several payment options. They also ensured that the city permit process was followed. I called them a second time for my mother's home in IB. She just needed some repair, and they inspected the whole roof and let us know it had 5 more years on it. They didn't try to sell us a whole roof that wasn't needed. Highly recommended.
