  Let me tell you something about them, after they did my roof the very next day they called not once but two different men called wanting their money. My roof did have some damage to it and we had already signed a contract for $9,450 I guess that’s were they “got you” so on the way to pay them They called!!!!!! Then said that wasn’t the price anymore add another 1,000 for the wood. I might have been happy yesterday but NOT SO HAPPY TODAY!!!! I just wonder if any of the men who put up the roof are getting the money!

We understand how frustrating unexpected costs can be during a roof replacement, especially on older plank roofs. Unlike modern plywood sheathing, which is uniform and easy to assess need for during the estimate, plank roofs can be incredibly durable, but sometimes do reveal hidden rot, gaps, and deterioration once the old roofing is completely torn off. In your case, we inspected thoroughly upfront and made you aware of the potential additional cost per foot for additional repairs once the roof was opened up. Once the tear off was complete, our PC and foreman determined selective replacement as the lowest cost most effective way to protect the long-term integrity of your home. We removed and replaced only the truly damaged planks while leaving the solid ones intact. This approach helps avoid unnecessary full decking or board replacement costs while ensuring the roof remains strong and reliable. If there is anything about the final result that concerns you, please let us know.   First and foremost we are incredibly sorry to receive this negative review. We strongly feel it does not represent who we are and the standards we have set out for ourselves at Cenvar. This has been brought to the attention of upper management! Nothing was mentioned to Peter, the PC on your job, about the house numbers being broken. After the job was complete, Peter called to follow up and offer a walk around, but the offer was declined and we were under the impression everything was fine and you were very happy. Our crew did not take a trailer around the back of the house and therefore we could not have damaged your grill. Peter has been in touch with you this week and offered to fix any siding issues! We are confident the issues that were mentioned above have been discussed and resolved.

  I am speaking as to their setting up for a quote. I set up a date for my quote . The guy that was supposed to come out and give me my quote, called me and told me that he could not make it that he was ill and that he would come out the next week. I told him that would not work because I was going to be out of town and unavailable that week and I did not want him here. I traveled To LA California and was there the morning that he decided that HE wanted to do my appointment. Imagine my shock as I was notified by my ring doorbell of a man standing on my front porch. He said he was there to give me my quote and that I had set an appointment a very quickly told him that he called me to cancel the first one that we had because he was ill and I had told him that I was going to be in LA and did not want to set one up until I got back . I found this to be very disturbing that there was a man standing on my front porch, talking to me on my ring doorbell while I was in California after telling him that I would not set the appointment until I got back from California If they can’t follow those simple instructions I was sure not going to let them put a roof on my house.

  I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking roof replacement. My experience has been exceedingly poor; they have made significant errors on two separate occasions and are scheduled to revisit this week to address their previous shortcomings. Despite my three attempts to contact a manager, I have not received any response. Attached are some images documenting the damage and mistakes they have made.

He will be giving you a call today as well as ensuring things go smoothly tomorrow to remedy these issues.. thank you for bringing them to our attention so we could escalate this issue. Hopefully we can resolve this review and gain your trust that we're here to do the right thing. UPDATE: We've just received word back from the GM that you're happy with how everything turned out! We will return tomorrow to repair the ceiling that still needs to be fixed. Sorry again for the headache this has been but our goal is to make it right!

  If you’re in Roanoke, Cenvar doesn’t have any roofing crews here, it’s strictly subcontractors so you’re basically paying for a name with subpar work. They finished my roof and I found several issues. I took pictures and sent the to the project coordinator and told them I needed these issues fixed and I didn’t want the same crew doing it because quality isn’t what they do. They sent their roof inspector out and he confirmed all of the issues I pointed out and found more. Luckily I have roofing experience but for anyone that doesn’t, they’d be left with a poorly installed roof. Well they sent a crew back out to address the issues and they didn’t even correct them all. You can tell they don’t care about quality, they just want to get it covered, yet I paid a premium price for a well known roofing company. After they came back out, they left an absolute mess! Shingle grit and roofing nails everywhere and their truck leaking oil all over the street. Unfortunately I don’t speak Spanish and the crew doesn’t speak good English so it’s hard to communicate. My skylight was installed crooked and way off center so that had to be removed and put back in, the ridge vent installed improperly and the rakes are all trimmed uneven, hangover from 1/4” to 3/4” so it just looks bad, not to mention they look like they were trimmed with a hatchet! Vinton Roofing did the houses on both sides of me and they have a perfect 1” overhang on the rakes but mine look terrible. This is an issue they were supposed to correct but didn’t. I wish I had it to do over again because I was never told they use subcontractors exclusively in Roanoke until after the job was done. I wouldn’t recommend Cenvar Roofing in Roanoke.

  Hi Brian, We've attempted to reach out to you multiple times without any luck of getting in contact with you. Maybe you don't want to talk to us but we really would like to make this right. When we receive a bad review, it goes straight to upper management and we're seeking to make the experience right. Upper management is on top of the local GM and we're looking for a resolution asap. Our GM said he's called somewhere between 15-20 times and left numerous messages. He's even gone by your house while your vehicle was in the driveway and tried knocking and ringing but still nothing, so he left his card in the door. We do attempt to make it right if given the chance. We are sincerely sorry for this subpar experience you've had with our company. It's not how we look to do business and is not the experience we want our customers to have.

  The estimator was very thorough. He spent a good amount of time on the roof taking pictures. He took good care. The installers were well less than good. The work was not completed although I received a bill, and they left cigarette butts and nails on our roof. Thank goodness my husband is a contractor and inspected the work, kindly called them out and they were back the next day to complete the job. Inspect what you expect with this company.

  Overall the main roof is holding up just fine. And it should for the cost. We had our challenges in the beginning with how they dropped everything off while it was pouring rain and they didn't cover it up allowing the materials to get drenched. We also had challenges with them parking a lifter on our grass causing dips where the tires sank in from the heavy rain. They did send out a landscaper to try and repair it. However, the job brought new problems. In brief;, 1)a particular leak continues to occur even after having them return to fix a gutter issue. When it rains, the water is able to get between the roof and the gutter and drip down onto the front porch. Of course, when they came out to repair it, it was not raining to show the problem. 2) The rear porch roof is still leaking. When they replaced our roof they used a deck porch roof (for lack of a better term) to access the main roof. Imagine seeing 3 adults on this area, carrying the large shingle packs? (We will try to provide a photo) When we saw them there, we yelled for them to get off that area because it would not sustain their weight and bow. This roof already had its challenges. After the install the area has multiple areas leaking. As I said, they did send someone to repair it, but they would only deal with what they thought they caused. And during his last visit he told us there was nothing more he could do. What could we do? It has been some time, but since the damage is still occurring we thought we should tell others of our experience.

  Replaced old wooden screen door that needed framing work to install with updated vinyl storm door that included doggie door. All we need to do is paint tiny piece of frame and that is because they provided molding. Also replaced entry way door with all surrounding molding. Excellent response times from initial visit, estimate, installation. Very professional throughout. I would highly recommend.

  Every step of the way was very pleasant to go though. Titus was very professional and was great work with, the installation crew was quick and efficient. I only found a few nails other than that you would have never known they were here. I would suggest Cenvar for you roof replacement.
