  I had a 1:00 appointment to meet them at my building. I traveled 2 hours to meet them. They never showed or called me. Bad business!!

  HORROR show. Called C&D for help with two separate roof leaks. C&D dispatched a group to look at the issue and quote a bid, which we accepted. The crew put down a silicon membrane across the flat roof, which not only didn't solve the leaks, it immediately began trapping rainwater beneath the silicon surface, causing huge bubbles of water to form. When I called to express alarm, C&D said the company that installed the membrane was a subcontractor and had gone out of business, and that it was not their responsibility--my contract "was with the subcontractor." This was just a few days after they finished the job. They refused to send anyone else out to look and refused to take my calls; when they did answer, they were rude and dismissive. Ended up having to have the entire roof replaced because of it and was never refunded.

  Dear Alex, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns you have raised and shed light on the situation from our perspective. It is important to note that prior to commencing work on your roof, we advised you to remove the deck from the roof to facilitate the waterproofing and sealing process effectively. During the removal process, it appears that those workers inadvertently caused some damage to the stucco walls surrounding the deck, which resulted in many small holes that allowed water to penetrate down the walls and underneath the newly sealed roof. After completing the roof work, we made multiple attempts to address the issue by pointing out the holes in the stucco walls and demonstrating how they were contributing to the water seepage.  We even put silicone on some of the holes to show you but there are too many issues around the stucco for us to address when the deck removal was not done by us, nor was the stucco. You even joined us on the roof where you saw us check and showed you no openings on the roofing material. Despite our efforts to bring this to your attention and provide guidance on the necessary repairs, including the hole in the wall where a light fixture was intended to be installed (just a recessed metal box in the stucco wall) and the unsealed glass parapet wall with large openings, some metal pieces were missing under the glass part of the wall, along with the glass not being sealed just placed in the tray that leaks into the wall above your outter windows, it became apparent that these issues were outside the scope of the roofing project. While we understand your frustration with the situation, we want to reiterate that our primary focus is on delivering high-quality roofing services. We empathize with your concerns, but please understand that we were hired to waterproof the existing roof and did just that.
