Boxer Roofing

The only one or two-star review we hold for Boxer Roofing.

My home was reroofed by Boxer about 6 years ago. Since then I have had to repair a leak in my chimney and replace the siding on my dormer windows. Boxer decided to use 1" flashing and water leaked around it. They refused to honor their warranty, saying the problems were caused by the way my house was built. As you might imagine, my house was had been around for decades prior to their work. So if you decide to go with Boxer, you might want to ask them about what kind of flashing they're using! Edit: I'm not the person who owned the house when it was reroofed so I'm not in your customer list. I called you and asked if you guaranteed your work and you said yes. Then I explained I had an issue and you completely walked it back. You even came over and you got on the roof and told me it wasn't an issue with the 1" flashing. I have since paid about $5,000 for repairs along my roofline.

We got quotes from about 6 roofers, and was impressed with Boxer Roofing from the start. After having our entire roof redone, we couldn't be more pleased with the result and their professional presence while doing the install. We highly recommend them!

After consulting and getting quotes from three roofing companies, we chose Boxer Roofing to replace our roof and we could not be happier. We were not familiar with Boxer Roofing until two people we know highly recommended them to us. The fact that they were a local Durham business was also a bonus. The Owner came to our home and thoroughly explained his product, warranty and every detail of the replacement process. We were very impressed with his professionalism and it was evident the respect he has for his team as well as the commitment he has to the customer. He showed us many samples of shingles from two manufacturers that he is certified to install that we could pick from. After going up on our roof he gave us an estimate of cost. Boxer Roofing came and replaced our roof in one day. The Owner was the first to arrive and the last to leave that day. He was here to supervise every detail. His crew did an excellent job of cleaning up afterward and he even came back the next day to go over our yard again. In summary, we give Boxer Roofing our highest recommendation.

Mr. Billy O'Briant did an excellent job with my roof replacement process from start to finish. I called three roofing companies to get a new roof estimate. Once the estimates were emailed to me. Two company's sales managers contact me to approve the project total cost, pick shingle color, and deposit/repayment costs all online!!!! It was very stressful and impersonal to me. The third company Boxer Roofing owner Mr. Billy O'Briant inspected my roof, he scheduled a time come to my home and explain the estimate costs, architectural shingles, review and select shingle colors, and finalized the contract. Mr. O'Briant is professional, knowledgeable, great attend to detail, and courteous person. His roofing crew did a tremendous with my new roof, it looks amazing. They did a great job with yard clean-up. I definitely made the right choice and highly recommend Boxer Roofing and owner Mr. Billy O'Briant.

I recently had to replace the roof on my parents’ home in Durham. Billy O’Briant gave us a no-pressure presentation and showed us all the options. He offered suggestions based on our needs and budget, and walked us through the selection and installation process. I liked that Boxer was local. Billy was in constant communication with us. On installation day, he was even up on the roof sending us photos of the progress including boards they had to replace. I can’t say enough good things about the installation crew. They were working in the sun on one of the hottest days of the year (as my grandmother would say “Bless their hearts!”). They did a great clean up afterwards. No nails, scraps or garbage left behind. The new roof looks great. The new gutters were installed a few days later with the same excellent results. Billy came by for a follow-up visit to make sure we were satisfied. Mr. O’Briant treated us like family throughout the project. I’ve had many roofs repaired and replaced, and Boxer’s workmanship, quality product, professionalism and overall customer service can’t be beat. Thank you Billy. Thank you Boxer.

Billy O'Briant and his crew did a fantastic job from the initial quote through the final cleanup. We had other quotes but chose Boxer knowing Billy would be on site throughout the job. He truly was the first to arrive and last to leave. We also appreciated that we got moved up in the queue because we had an existing leak. We highly recommend Billy and Boxer Roofing.
