  Had a new roof installed from theses guys two years ago and still dealing with the poor quality installation. Recently had my roof mounted A/C unit replaced and the A/C company laughed at the installation around my A/C unit and were surprised it wasn't leaking yet. Globs of silicone helps I guess. If your the type of homeowner that doesn't inspect the work during and after the job is performed then these hacks might be ok for you. I addressed my complaints at the time of installation and after but the owner dismissed it and was rude! I don't want this hack company back on any of my properties!

  Hello Mindy Atwal and husband, I believe there was some confusion since the initial call intake due to you saying your 3 year old roof was incorrectly installed and the roofing contractor was not returning your calls, you said you wanted a full roof estimate at the appointment we scheduled for you. We showed up to provide a free full estimate and you wanted a detailed report with pictures which we charge $250-$500 depending on how in-depth you want, we were willing to provide you with the pictures Randy had taken for free but not a report, that you wanted for free. When we asked who did your roof install, you refused to provide us with this information, we are a well-known roofing company amongst our competitors, and we don’t want to step on any toes or void any warranties by doing any work to your roof. Randy is not an aggressive person and nor is he pushy, this is way out of character, and people love him.

  Hi John, I do apologize for you thinking we price gouged however, it was mentioned on the phone the $500 minium fee, we saw it wasn't that much to fix, so we lowered our price to $300 and again to $250 and to make you happy to $200. It was Christmas eve and we pulled one of our guys away from his family and friends to help you out, so if you feel you were taken advantage of, I do apologize. Nowadays with all the prices increasing, we have to pay our guys more, so they can take care of their families, with $35% markup for Liability insurance, on top of holiday pay, and taxes we have to pay, overhead, gas, vehicle insurance, health insurance for our emplyoees, we didn't make anything to send our guy out. Since we did discount you to the price you wanted, can you please remove your 1 star. Thank you, BJR

  Buyer beware of Bob Jahn’s Roofing, CSLB#400569. Our roofing project that began on April 4, 2022 still remains incomplete as of 5/3/22. We live in a 76-year-old home with major dry rot damage that needed to be fixed prior to roof install. Bob Jahn’s Roofing neglected to recommend needed repairs on dry rot once the roofs were open, and has refused to absorb any of the cost for this mistake ever since. In addition they have been harassing us for payment and they have issued a pre-lien on our home while we have been trying to get this matter resolved. On Monday, April 4, 2022 after the demo/tear-off crew finished midday (around 12 PM), no representative of Bob Jahn’s Roofing walked us through the property in order to discuss the dry rot that needed to be fixed and/or replaced in order for the project to be completed per contract: “DRY ROT: If there is dry rot, a change order will be issued, and all will be replaced after approval from customer.” No “approval from customer” was sought on either Day 1 or Day 2. Instead, on Monday, April 4, 2022 a vague and incomplete change order was issued by Bob Jahn’s Roofing. We signed Change Order 1 for thousands of additional dollars on the morning of April 5, 2022 in good faith, assuming that all dry rot would be repaired prior to the installation of the roofs. It was not. The roofs were installed and the dry rot was not repaired. Bob Jahn’s Roofing did not repair essential rafter tails prior to the installation of the gutters. In fact, when the gutter installation team arrived they said they could not hang the gutters on such damaged rafter tails—“it’s common sense,” they said pointing to the soft, damaged wood—and left the work site within 15 minutes. On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, a Bob Jahn’s Roofing team member came on site and provided a detailed accounting of what was completed and what was not completed by the team in order to fulfill its obligations under contract, as well as under Change Order 1.   Leah, We are sorry you are dissatisfied with your installation. We strive to make sure everyone is happy when we leave a jobsite. The tear-off crew works quickly to ensure we are in and out as fast to ensure we disrupt your life as little as possible. They did have a slight impact on a portion of you gutter and as soon as it was brought to our attention we made sure it was fixed. Everyone is careful when they are onsite, but it is a messy job and sometimes things get damaged. When you called about the dry rot we did send someone out so you could discuss with them your concerns. We also did fix your concerns as well as credit you for the dry rot since you were dissatisfied. As per our guidelines the AC units were both shingled completely under them to prevent leaking. The sealant was added at your request, it was not needed as it was already sealed from the shingles. We also moved the condensation line out of the attic to ensure it was done properly. This was just a little something extra we did outside of our services to ensure it would pass inspection. The change order was not an extra bill, it was a reminder from our electronic signature that you had not signed it yet, and we did explain that in the email we sent. We do stand behind our work 100% and if there are any problems we will return to resolve them. We have made every effort to ensure your satisfaction, and we are sorry that was not achieved.

  I was put on a waiting list almost 2 months ago. I called back around a week and a half ago the girl told they would call me right back with a date. NEVER called my back, so I called them again on 7/19 and they told me they were too busy and they will refer me to someone else. I waisted 2 months of my time waiting on this company to only be turned down. Don't waist your time on this Company. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
