Very disappointed. I waited 9 months to get my metal roof done; an upgrade to my house that I'd dreamed of for several years. I trusted Bob Hilson and Company so much that I allowed them to work on my house while I was out of town. When I got home I had a roof that looked like aluminum foil. The company owner called it "oil canning" and that it "happens sometimes." They refused to make any corrections so when people come to the house I hope they won't notice the roof. I won't use them for any reason ever again. 03-18-2024. It's been 5 plus years now and my roof looks pretty much the same. 03-28-2024. Your response is not correct. The reason for the so called "oil canning" was caused because your team kicking the securing brackets into place. The panels lay flat on the roof until then. When you fabricated the panels the edges were not 90 degrees as they should have been. Since the brackets were now leaning when they were screwed in; that pressed outer edge toward the other side and squeezed the panel.

Mr. Key, Bob Hilson & Company is very sorry your roof did not meet your expectations. The company owner also informed you that your roof was out of square and the roof deck was uneven. These things telegraph thru the panels causing the unsightly ripples and distortion you see in the panels.

I hired this company to repair all of my leaking gutters. They have sent 3 different crews a total of 5 times to fix one that is still leaking. Each time they assured me it was repaired. It is STILL leaking and now the owner tells me that …

I know your situation was frustrating, however you insisted it was the seams. We did not witness the leakage and in the end it is the roof leaking not the gutter seams.

I worked with this company many years ago and they were great. Apparently they are under new ownership. We were ready to go for a new roof and they had the job in the bag - They sent Carlos out to give us a quote. He inspected the roof and seemed very competent. I asked for three quotes: basic, insulated, and roof straps. After a week i received nothing. I called and eventually received only the basic quote from Carlos. I replied to the email and nothing. I called back two weeks later and the very nice secretary said Calos would call. No call. I called again a couple of weeks after that. The same very nice secretary said everyone in the office had Covid, but Carlos would call - No call. I waited a month and called again, same very nice secretary and no callback. I can only imagine what this would be like if I they had taken my money or my roof off...

This review is BOGUS! Bob Hilson & Company was not in business in 1972. We did not open our doors until 1979.

I just bought a new to us home. Previous owner had a roof put on his patio. The roof we have found that I was not close to spec or would withstand any sort of wind. I called Bob Hilson Roofing because they had saved us in our former home. Mick came out inspected the roof and said I have a plan, we can do this. Long story short, roof panels are secured and climate proofed. Under structure reinforced, strapped and ready for Mother Nature. I’m extremely happy with the work done here as well as all Bob Hilson roofing down d for us at our previous home. Bob Hilson works clean and neat. Quality work and professional as well. Thank you

Bob Hilson & Co were terrific replacing the front built-up roof on our 1926 cottage house. We have used them several times in the past to maintain the roof with Gaco silicone or repair/replace small decorative barrel tile roof sections and have always had good results. We had no leaks when we started and none when we finished but we felt a new roof down to the rafters would allow us to troubleshoot as needed and ensure the roof would remain sound well into the future. They are a great family-owned business in south Miami-Dade - very personable, respectful of our property and a pleasure to work with

I had 7 goosenecks added to my roof to release the attic heat. Hilson roofing did it extremely fast and was incredibly reasonable on the price. The front office was kind and professional. I highly recommend them for all your roofing needs.

Mike, thank you for the great review. We’re glad we could get those gooseneck vents installed quickly, keep the price fair, and make the whole process smooth with a helpful front office. We really appreciate the recommendation and the chance to earn your business.

As a long-time resident of Homestead, it pays to deal with an established hometown company. From the moment I phoned, I knew I made the right choice in my selection. Their slogan is "Quality Matters," and that is exactly the level of service I received. They expertly identified and helped clear up issues left behind by a previous contractor, providing the clarity and peace of mind I desperately needed. The team was prompt, honest, and incredibly detailed. It is refreshing to deal with a trustworthy, local expert who genuinely cares about fixing things the right way. I highly recommend them!

Overall a friendly, efficient roof repair company that employs competent roof workers who do a through repair job that will last. Estimator came the same day as the leak was reported and repair was done as soon as weather permitted at a fair price.
