  On June 6, 2025, Barclays Premier Construction inspected my roof for free and claimed it had hail damage from an April 10 storm based on a report they provided. They quickly pushed me to sign a contract on an iPad, which included a 25% cancellation fee and required me to use them for repairs. Their salesperson even offered to “cover my deductible” by using lower-quality materials — all of this was recorded on my Ring camera. The tactics felt rushed, aggressive, and raised serious red flags. Wanting to be cautious, I got three additional inspections including an independent contractor for my insurance company (don't know the name), Perimeter Roofing, and Haag Engineering. All three said there was no hail damage. Two believed a tool (like a quarter or bottle cap) had been used to create the marks. Haag Engineering’s forensic report confirmed the blemishes were manual abrasion, not hail, and NOAA weather data showed no hail near my property on April 10, 2025. When I raised concerns, Barclays’ owner said I couldn’t prove his team caused the damage, technically true since I don’t have cameras on my roof, but that response only deepened my concerns about their motives. At best, their inspector and salesperson need serious retraining. My experience makes me question Barclays’ methods. Their findings were contradicted by multiple roofing professionals and an engineer, yet they pushed hard for a contract and an insurance claim. I strongly recommend homeowners get multiple independent inspections and never let unknown contractors on your roof. I learned my lesson the hard way.
