Your mother contacted our office requesting a professional roof inspection for the flashing and loose shingles. We scheduled an appointment, and our team met directly with her and her son at the home. All of our calls are automatically recorded using our business phone system, QUO, for quality assurance and training purposes. We reviewed the recorded conversation, and our team member clearly explained the additional issues discovered during the inspection and why they needed to be addressed. The discussion included an estimate for a full roof replacement as one possible option (alongside targeted repairs to the shingles and chimney). During the initial meeting, your mother mentioned that she would eventually be selling the home. In response — and after she expressed feeling overwhelmed by the costs, her health diagnosis, and the insurance situation — our team member asked in a friendly, conversational way whether she was thinking of selling sooner rather than later. He gently suggested that moving in with family or into a condo might help reduce her financial burden. There was no suggestion of auctioning off her house or moving into an "old folks home." The entire conversation remained respectful, caring, and focused on providing the information she had requested.   Trying to get an estimate for a job after seeing ad from a flyer. However, did not answer my first call in the morning and rejected my second call immediately in the evening. Customer service already sucks for future clients, cant imagine the service after work is complete.

  Unbelievable. They came to give us an estimate for new shingles with a whole list of questions, some that kind of make a little sense and some that don’t at all. We told them that we want our shingles replaced. They wanted to interview us before they even take a look at our roof first. They did not explain anything, just questioned and write down our answers. We asked a couple of questions in response to being questioned so many details that seemed quite unnecessary. When I asked why they needed to know my average monthly hydro bill, they got frustrated, said I asked too many questions and LEFT the house leaving us completely perplexed with the whole experience. So they can sit inside our house at our table, asking questions like: how often we clean our gutters and if we have a hi efficiency furnace and hot water tank and what kind of insulation we have and how much is our hydro bill, but we can’t ask for any explanation? Especially when we made clear at the start we wanted just new shingles. I hope this review helps someone else like us who thinks they can solely rely on good google reviews when choosing a contractor. You simply can’t.

  Hi Milc, We always sit down with owners for the needs assessment before inspecting and measuring, the feedback we receive is positive. Our customers appreciate the thoroughness and extra care that we put into our estimate. I can appreciate that some of the questions may not seem relevant at first, but I've been in the industry for over 20 years and that comes with a lot of knowledge. We discover more about the home by asking these questions and can solve other potential issues while working on the roof. Whether it's fixing something small like a leaking eavestrough, removing a chimney that isn't in use, fixing the soffit venting, solving a moisture issue, topping up insulation or changing the way a bathroom or kitchen exhaust vents out. Doing small repairs afterwards is a lot more expensive. Our approach is to see if anything else might need some attention and save our customers some money in the long run. We also provide an industry leading warranty and stand behind it, so we want to make sure everything is done right the first time. Your roof is a system that works with other parts of the home. We don't just put on shingles, we are a home improvement company. We ask for 60 to 90 minutes of your time to find out everything that's needed. We value your time as much as our own. I kindly passed on the opportunity to estimate your project since you didn't want to answer the questions I ask all of my customers. I wish you the best of luck on your roof replacement.

  The guy comes to my house tells me he has to figure out if I’m a customer for him. Ok doesn’t ask about my roof then proceeds to ask questions unrelated to the roof I invited the establishment to my house for a quote all I got was racist questions then was told I have to have my wife for the interview she knows nothing and doesn’t care about the roof or anything to do with the roof then after questioning my motives for a roof job he gets up and says your not customer for me I just want my roof done .this company is trash they thought they would come and rip me off with all these extras they couldn’t put one past me so they left sayin I’m not a customer for them enjoy the recession looser I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE TRASH

  Extremely thoughtful review Ken! Your roofing job is a perfect example of why it's important for us to have an in person conversation with our potential customers. The optimal place for this meeting is in the home at the kitchen table. This must be done before giving a price, providing an estimate and especially before signing paperwork. Without this conversation taking place, many things get missed, mistakes get made and prices change. Many home owners don't realize all the components in a home that tie into the roof one way or another. If a related problem exists that can be solved, it's better and most times cheaper to handle it at the same time. This is why we conduct a needs assessment before inspecting and measuring any project.

  I got a skylight installed and from start to finish, the A Roofing team were great. Very professional and respectful, great customer service, good communication, and follow up inspection. It was expensive, but I really wanted a skylight and the end result is really awesome. I would highly recommend them!

  We first worked with Antonyshyn Roofing in 2015 when Danny repaired our poorly installed roof (not his work!) after shingles had blown off. He returned in 2022 for additional repairs (again, not his work), and when more shingles were damaged in 2026, we contacted Antonyshyn Roofing again. After a thorough inspection, Danny explained why a full roof replacement was the best long-term solution. He walked us through the process and our options, giving us complete confidence in the decision. From start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations. Every member of the crew was professional, organized, and courteous. Our home is a challenging infill property with a steep roof and limited space between neighbours, but the crew took exceptional care during setup, installation, and cleanup while minimizing disruption to our neighbours. Danny also personally inspected the completed work to ensure everything met Antonyshyn Roofing's high standards. Choosing Antonyshyn Roofing was the right decision. My wife Teresa and I are completely satisfied with our new roof. Their pride in workmanship is evident from the owner to every member of the crew.   This is the second roofing job I asked Antonyshyn Roofing to do in ten years (yes, we moved), and will have no other. Mathew was very thorough in his evaluation and provided a full estimate with needed recommendations. The workers were rock stars working in the heat, and getting our roof done 4hrs before a huge storm… no problems!! Danny followed up on the job and site to ensure all was satisfactory. Thanks
