We chose Andes for a full roof, skylight installation and gutter replacement, paying a premium price of $21,000 with the expectation of a seamless, 'white-glove' experience. Unfortunately, the reality did not match the promise. Communication was poor from the start. We weren't informed that our roof was unsuitable for our original shingle choice until after the old roof had already been stripped, forcing us to sign a change order under duress in the middle of the job. What was promised as a one-day installation stretched out, with gutters not being installed until a later date. The technical quality was also disappointing; the skylight flashing didn't fit, requiring the crew to manually bend it to make it work. Most concerning, however, was the lack of cleanup. Despite paying for a 'no mess' service, I have personally picked up over 50 nails from my driveway and yard since they left. For $21,000, I expected professional quality control, but instead, I've had to manage the finishing touches myself.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re sorry your experience fell short of the standard we work to deliver. Clear communication, respect for the customer and property, follow-through, and doing the job the right way from start to finish are all core to how we believe roofing work should be done, and from what you described, we did not meet that standard here. We understand your frustration, especially around the mid-project change order, the delays, the skylight flashing concern, and the cleanup issues you experienced afterward. At Andes, we want every customer to have the best roofing experience, not just a completed job. In the rare instances where we fall below that standard, we take a very serious look at what happened, where the process broke down, and how we need to improve. That includes using situations like this to strengthen our internal communication, reinforce expectations with everyone involved, and educate our team so we can deliver a better experience moving forward. We appreciate you bringing these concerns forward.

I'm very disappointed with the lack of response I have received when trying to get work scheduled. I put a deposit down on 9/26 and was told the work would be scheduled in 4-6 weeks. When I wasn't contacted within that timeframe I emailed the contacts I had at Andes asking for an update. No response. I called on 12/3 and was told the work would be scheduled within a couple of weeks and someone would call me back to schedule the work. But no one has contacted me yet. I realize my work is only a small repair job but I would prefer if Andes would have not taken the job or at least had been honest about the low priority the work would receive. They pushed hard for the deposit to be made in September so the repairs could be completed before we get too deep into the winter months. Well it's too late for that now. As a repeat customer, I expected better treatment.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We understand how frustrating delays and lack of communication can be, especially as a repeat customer, and we’re sorry that this was your experience. At Andes Roofing, we aim to be transparent and responsive, and it’s clear we fell short in keeping you informed. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly, review the situation, and work toward a resolution. Please contact our office so we can address this properly.

    - Job wasn't done as quoted and their measures to make it right were laughable, also no one owned up to the mistake at any point. - Not likely to work with insurance adjusters - Timeline is a joke Sales wouldn't put effort in to work with insurance (was told 3 times, "yeah whatever your insurance told you is what they'll pay so if we're above that we can't really tell them anything to get you more money" despite the adjuster saying he'd work with them on price differences. Company takes more jobs than they can realistically keep up with so scheduling is a last minute affair that happens at the end of, or after, their predicted timeline for work to be done. I was told 8-10 weeks time from signed quote to project completion, due to the number of projects in my area, understandable due to some storms earlier in the year. I had to call at 10.5 weeks and ask if my deposit was refundable since I hadn't heard anything in multiple weeks. Magically we were scheduling for two days later 32 seconds after I asked that question. Once scheduled supplies were dropped off and work was done in a timely manner but I was quoted a ridge vent because "box vents just aren't that efficient". I come home after the work is completed and what do I see but box vents along the rear of my house. I mentioned it to the site supervisor when he showed up for a "Quality Check" the next day, he didn't apologize for the crews mistake but mentioned he'd check their paperwork, to confirm it was a mistake and let me know options. It didn't matter I had the signed quote citing a ridge vent on my phone screen for him he had to go back and check with Andes. I heard nothing else until I received my final invoice which was still for the amount that included a ridge vent. When I called Andes for clarification I again heard no apologies/ownership for their mistake but was told they'd discuss with their manager and get back with me. No one got back with me they just sent a new invoice for ~$690 less. Invoice ha

We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience and want to sincerely apologize that we didn’t meet the high standards we set for ourselves—or for our customers. It’s clear we fell short in multiple areas, from communication and scheduling to following through on what was promised. That’s not how we want anyone to feel after trusting us with their home. We take full responsibility for the confusion around your ventilation system and for not communicating updates clearly along the way. Your feedback has been shared directly with our leadership and production teams so we can ensure these mistakes don’t happen again. We’ve already made internal changes to improve follow-up with insurance coordination, scheduling transparency, and job-specific quality checks before invoicing. We’re grateful you gave us the opportunity to earn your business, and we’re sorry that your experience didn’t reflect the level of service Andes Roofing is known for. If you’d be open to speaking directly with our management team, we’d love the chance to personally apologize and learn more about how we can make this right. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. However, we do want to clarify a few important details. The cost of your project was $25,000, not $50,000 as mentioned. We also came back to your home to address and correct the paint concern to ensure it was done properly. Regarding the gutters, our professional team has been out to inspect and confirm that they are draining properly. If you’re still experiencing issues, we encourage you to reach out so we can evaluate further and make it right. We truly regret that you feel dissatisfied, and we remain committed to standing behind our work. Please don’t hesitate to contact us directly with any additional concerns so we can work toward a resolution. —Andes Roofing Team

We’re so sorry to hear about the nails being left behind. We always run magnets during cleanup, but it sounds like we may have missed some this time. We weren’t able to locate you in our system, but our team will gladly come back out and run additional magnets to make sure everything is taken care of. Please give us a call at 812-248-6155, and we’ll schedule a time right away to make it right. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate the opportunity to correct it.

To address Ethan’s reply. I don’t work for any competitor. Just a local guy, never heard of “Window World” before today and have no idea why they would imagine I work there. I also never called Andes Roofing nor anyone on their team. Feel free to call Window World to demand my resignation, but they’ll probably have a hard time reprimanding an employee that don’t have (or ever had). And it’s bizarre as hell that your reaction to a negative review is to try and investigate where I work at and make a threatening gist at my career. Especially when I called you out for your clearly pathetic business practices. Says a lot about your true character. But even if your back-peddling excuses were actually true, it still wouldn’t change my original review below: Andes Roofing is spamming and cheating the Google Review system to advertise their business. Here are MANY of the businesses they have taken advantage of to advertise their own. If you encounter any of these on the pages of restaurants or stores, please do your part and report them as spam since it sets precedent for horrible advertisement practices. Ty!

    Reply from the business

Josh, It appears you have something against our business because you work for another competing service company in the Southern Indiana market (Window World). The context here is that every one of the reviews was left with a glowing 5 star text review for that business, which we are friends with the owners of these businesses. We have gotten zero negative feedback from any of these companies or their owners, and we are working with many of them on tons of projects. Your call to our office to verify this AFTER you left this review was rude to our CSR, Deb, when she explained this to you and you told her it was a lie. Please do not cuss at our people like that again, as We would never do that to you. We are deeply committed to supporting local businesses, and we will continue to lift them up with reviews to show others how amazing our community of small businesses really is. We wish you the best with your career at Window World. Sincerely, Ethan Andes

Tasha, I want to personally apologize for any misunderstanding during this process. Since this review, I have gone back and made sure that we have learned from this and set better expectations about unforeseen wood damage with homeowners. When we give a quote, it is not based on the insurance company's estimate, as they are known to short insurance claims by 30% on average nationally. We always give our own numbers, as that is the true cost. It would be bad if a contractor simply just matched whatever the insurance company said it should cost, as that means the contractor doesn't know what it should cost. (Sometimes our scope of work and the insurance matches, which does make it easier, but usually there is a difference on our quotes that either can or cannot be matched by the insurance companies) I am sorry that the quote you signed was not explained to you in better detail. The state of Indiana only gives us a certain amount of time to seek action to collect the money that is owed that is due upon completion of the project (60 Days). My records show that we completed the roof on June 13th, and after all punch list items and questions you had were completed to your satisfaction, it was officially done on August 2nd, 2023. We just received your final amount on February 16th, 2024. I want to thank you for your review, as it has helped me train our sales, operations, and office staff on talking about our collections process after the project is completed. We do make exceptions for insurance projects because we understand that sometimes the homeowners do not have the full amount in cash to pay us right after the project is completed. We urge homeowners to finance this amount if possible, because we are a small business, and floating tens of thousands of dollars for extended periods of time is very stressful, and heavily impacts our business. Your feedback is helping me make Andes Roofing better and better, as we are striving to be the BEST! Sincerely, Ethan Ande

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustration you experienced during your interactions with us. While we always strive to provide excellent customer service, it’s clear that we fell short in this instance. To address your concerns:     1.    Communication: We have records of multiple attempts to communicate with you, including emails and phone calls. However, we acknowledge that one of our emails may have gone to your spam folder, and we’re sorry for the confusion this caused.     2.    Weather Delays: Severe weather, including 13 inches of snow and extreme cold, prevented us from completing the work on the originally scheduled dates. While these conditions were out of our control, we understand how this disrupted your plans and appreciate your patience during this time.     3.    Homeowner Unavailability: We also spoke with your wife, who informed us that the homeowner was in the hospital, and we respected her request to delay service further.     4.    Refund Process: Regarding your refund, we apologize for any delays or miscommunication during the process. Our standard protocol involves issuing refunds on Thursdays, but we should have communicated this more clearly to avoid any misunderstandings. We deeply regret any inconvenience this situation has caused and are taking steps to ensure similar issues don’t occur in the future. If there’s anything further we can do to make this right, please feel free to reach out to us directly at 812-248-6155 Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust in the future.

We definitely, recommend Andes Roofing. They had my roof repaired in less than a week after the initial inspection. This was during their busy season and after some storms. Both young men I dealt with were courteous and professional. The only reason we didn't give five stars was because the color on the new shingles in a small section don't match with current shingles. Other than that, Andes did a great repair and we have had no issues. We appreciate how pleasant everyone was to us, and how quickly they fixed our roof.

We’ve had a wonderful experience working with ANDES Roofing! They completed the roof replacement on our office and continue to take care of our yearly inspections, repairs, and gutter cleanings whenever needed. We normally work with Austin, our sales representative, and he is absolutely awesome. He is attentive, responsive, professional, and always makes sure we’re taken care of from start to finish. We recently had the pleasure of working with Sammy and the rest of the crew, and they were just as great! They did a fabulous job, worked quickly and efficiently, and were a pleasure to have on-site. The work was completed at a great price, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We highly recommend ANDES Roofing for their quality work, professionalism, and amazing customer service!

Alysia, thank you. Really. This is the kind of review that gets shared with the whole team, and every single person you mentioned deserves to read it. Josh hearing that his honesty and care were the reason you chose Andes after doing your research will mean a lot to him. That's not something you can fake, and we're glad it came through clearly. Ramzy being there every step of the way, keeping standards where they need to be, is something we take real pride in. And the crew working the way they did, hard, clean, and careful, is a reflection of who they are as people, not just workers. We don't take lightly what you said about companies that operate this way becoming rare. It's something we think about, and it's why we work so hard to make sure every project feels the way yours did. Thank you for taking the time to write all of this out. Customers for life goes both ways, and we're grateful for you!

A roof is a lot more than the shingles you see from the street. Garrett recently walked our team through the complete Andes Roofing System—from drip edge and underlayment to ice and water shield, starter shingles, ventilation, and ridge caps. Every layer has a specific job, and every detail matters when it comes to protecting your home. We don’t just install shingles.
