  I decided to go with alpine because I had two recommendations to use them, they were so kind and efficient from beginning to end. They have excellent reviews etc. My initial quote for the roof was $9700 and this was a better deal than a family friend who quoted us, so we decided to go with Alpine ! After our project wrapped up I was expecting a final invoice for approximately 4-8 OSB boards which is what I was quoted. And removal of any extra shingles. The final invoice included removal of 2 extra layers of roofing (apparently they couldn’t see this during the inspection) as well as 54 boards used priced at $95 a board bringing my final invoice to $6900. This is a 70 percent mark up to the initial bid on the job which I paid in full before they started our roof. I do believe it’s unethical to not disclose this large of a markup during a construction job. I would proceed with caution and take all quotes with a grain of salt. Both Kristina in billing, and Dave who was the project manager attested to the fact that these numbers should have been disclosed, and at some point during the project they should have let me know that there was a major change in the project they quoted, but this did not happen by the office or the project manager. I’m super bummed. I’ll attach the initial invoice (I paid in full) As well as the unexpected final invoice Waiting for resolution and hopefully I can update this review with a better ending. UPDATE: -After extensive messaging and phone calls, alpine roofing and their associates have offered a discount on removal of shingles as consolation. This doesn’t address the additional $5100 charge for OSB boards that was not brought to my attention, not signed for as a change order and not brought up until they packed up and left. I am disappointed with this resolution and would not recommend working with this company. What I have experienced has been a dishonest and unethical approach at business. Characterizing our business as "dishonest" or "unethical" is entirely inaccurate and directly contradicts the documented timeline and signed agreements of your job. As evidenced by all of our five-star reviews, we operate an amazing and reputable business; the issue here is not our lack of transparency, but rather that the clear warnings provided by of our team members were unfortunately not heard. Pre-Project Communication & Contract Disclosure Before you even received a final estimate, our team repeatedly flagged the advanced age of your roof and the high probability of underlying deck damage. Multiple separate representatives from Alpine Roofing explicitly explained to you that your roof would likely need new OSB wood. Any misunderstanding regarding this need was not an issue on our part, as it was communicated with absolute clarity. Furthermore, you signed a contract that clearly outlined the exact per-board pricing for replacement wood directly on the estimate. The costs were completely disclosed to you before work ever began. Hidden Damage & Building Code Laws As is standard in the roofing industry, it is physically impossible to see through shingles to count hidden, extra layers or to determine the exact condition of the wood decking underneath. Once your roof was removed, we discovered extensive deterioration that required 54 new boards. Replacing this damaged wood is not an optional "markup"—it is a strict requirement by local building code laws. We are required to install roofs per local building codes to ensure structural safety. Our Resolution Given that multiple different parties verbally warned you about the wood and you signed a contract detailing the pricing, the surprise regarding your final invoice is difficult to understand.   Hired Alpine because of great reviews. First thing they did was put new sheeting over rotten sheeting and put new roof on. They had to send another crew to strip off the brand new roof and put down new sheeting. They did so much damage to my home that ive had to turn it over to my homeowners ins. They feel through a brand new ceiling. Tore all my window screens. Left 100s of old nails all over my driveway. Promised to fix everything including a night in motel. They did not fix any and never paid fir motel. Avoid Ben & Mike. They are just poor roofers and will damage your home. You are paid in full now so just waiting to file a claim against your bond but you refuse to give me ur bond number. Hire anyone but these lying humans. Mike whats coming is a lawsuit but my homeowners insurance will be contacting very soon. Update 12 - 3- 2025 Alpine Roofing has never returned my phone calls. Will be sending a certificated letter with demand for payment and if they ignore that it will be small claims court. Your choice Ben and Mike. I have all the evidence and texts. Be nice to settle up but unfortunately Mike and Ben are crooked business men

  The team was very professional and the roof looks wonderful. They showed up on the scheduled date and promptly completed the 2 day job as planned. They removed two layers of roofing and installed a new roof on both my house and detached garage. They sent me numerous photos with updates and did a great job cleaning up the property when they were finished. I have used Alpine roofing before, and I will continue to use them in the future.

  Could there be more than 5 stars? The time and attention everyone put into this project exceeded my expectations. This is a standard not found too often these days. From the first contact, AnaSofia was available and patient in discussing the unusual design of my historic 98+ year old house even before a contract was signed. She presented the unusual roof architecture and the challenge of keeping the rounded framing intact to the Project Manger and Design expert. They went beyond suggesting it be modified for easy conventional roofing. That consideration and "yes" meant everything for trying to provide the house coverage in its original form. Both AnaSofia and the Project manager Dave came to preview, share project materials and details ahead of the job. Both answered questions so many times, patiently. Dave arrived on site daily for updates with Arturo and to take care of the crew that braved the steep roof angles. They were all very considerate to me and with the plants leaving everything clean and picked up daily. Covering the peaks of the rounded framing was the final challenge. Reviewing only two images I found and the changes in today's materials, it came together through consensus. It's beautiful! The house is now wrapped and protected with the best products for decades into the future. There's a great deal of peace of mind that comes with seeing the detail in their work and experiencing respect and willingness to communicate. A pleasantly positive experience.   Our experience with Alpine began with their in-depth inspection and estimate process. The field agent who met us at the house, AnaSofia, was not only knowledgeable and approachable, but really broke down what we were getting with each of the different options Alpine offers. My favorite parts of their estimate and planning process are the use of their drones for accurate imaging/measuring AND their handy field-kit where they detail the parts of their roofing system and how they all come together. When we scheduled, we were contacted by Ben, who was helpful in navigating the insurance process, material planning, and coordination of services on site. We were also lucky to work with Dave, one of their project managers, who was incredibly helpful as well. The team they subcontracted to work on the roof were not only fast and efficient, but incredibly respectful of our garden, pets, and yard. They completed our house and small detached garage in 2 days, cleaned up the work site, and made it such an easy experience. If I had to recommend anyone to friends and family, I would recommend Alpine. It was a great experience and we really appreciate all their hard work.
