  I contracted All Ultimate Construction to complete a new walkway in the front of my house. This walkway was to lead from the driveway around a planter bed and connect to an existing walkway in front of the front door. This also included adding Belgium blocks to separate the planter bed from the walkway. Images of the completed work can be found below. Overall, we're fairly disappointed with the work that has been completed. While the finished product looks very nice, there were many details that were overlooked and certain steps that were not taken which were included in the contract. I've laid out these items below: 1. The border was messed up twice, leading me to have All Ultimate come back out multiple times. (See images) 2. The walkway and the driveway were two different heights, they did not match the height of the driveway. 3. They skimped on the polymeric sand installation. I had to go back and add one more full bag after they left. They also did not use a plate vibrator to install the sand like the contract and bag stated they should. 4. They did not dig down the 6" stated in the contract and lay down 2 lifts of gravel and 1" of leveling sand as mentioned in the contract and per the manufactures requirements. 5. We asked them to match the old pavers as close as possible but they ended up using a stone that was a completely different color. 6. In order to meet the old walkway correctly, part of the old walkway needed to be removed and re-leveled. When they put the old walkway pieces back, some stones were placed in the wrong locations (i.e. border stones in the middle and middle stones in the border). As mentioned, overall the completed work looks nice but we would likely think twice before hiring them for a bigger patio project given our disappointment regarding the overlooked items above.
