Initially wanted to go with A2Z based off being the most reviewed in Edmonton. Communication was fantastic at the start, Mohammed who answered the phone was funny and personable. Our issues came when it came to having someone come out to the house for the quote. We started talking to A2Z on 15 April, and they scheduled to come out on April 24th. No show. I contacted them the week after, they said they "tried to leave me a message" (not sure how you try without sending a text, email, or calling) but they rescheduled for 1 May. Once again, no show. Ridiculous, and another 2 weeks of my time getting a new roof completely wasted.

Hi Matt, First, I want to sincerely apologize for the experience you had. What you described is absolutely not the standard we hold ourselves to, and I completely understand your frustration—especially when it comes to something as time-sensitive as getting a roof replaced. I do appreciate you acknowledging your initial interaction with Mohammed. He’s a valued part of our team, and I’m glad that came through. That said, it makes it even more disappointing that we didn’t follow through on the most important next step—showing up when we said we would. Missing not one, but two scheduled appointments is unacceptable. There’s no excuse for that, and the lack of proper communication afterward only made things worse. Whether it was a scheduling breakdown, human error, or a system issue on our end, the responsibility is entirely ours—and we clearly dropped the ball here. We’ve already begun reviewing our scheduling and follow-up processes internally because situations like this should never happen, especially twice to the same customer. Your feedback is important, and it will directly contribute to tightening those gaps so no one else has this experience. I completely understand if you’ve chosen to move forward with another company at this point. However, if you’re still open to it, I would personally make sure your project is prioritized and handled properly from start to finish. At the very least, I’d really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly and make this right—please feel free to call me at 587-338-6677. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Ali Basha Owner, A2Z Roofing & Renovation Update: Hi Matt, I wanted to follow up on my previous message and thank you for taking the time to connect with me directly. I appreciate the opportunity to speak with you and explain what happened on our end. and I’m glad we were able to have an open and honest conversation about it. Your understanding means a lot, even though we recognize the inconv

They were working on my neighbors roof. While doing so they threw the old roofing material into my fenced yard. When the worker came in and out of my yard they broke my gate. The owner agreed his employee admitted to breaking it. The boss / owner asked what I wanted done, I said I want it fixed. Several days passed, they were back again working on a roof and I approached the owner and asked what he intended to do. He seemed surprised that I wanted him to fix the gate. He then took pictures of the gate. I got tired of waiting for the repair to be completed so I went and bought items and tools to fix the gate my self. The gate is fixed. When I had my roof replaced only a month ago the contractor I used agreed that if there was any damages to the neighbor's property it would be fixed immediately and with no questions or charges to the neighbour. Consider this as a condition to be addressed when using this company. I lived beside Michael and Lynn Lavergne

I’ve been searching for well rated roofers to replace my roof this summer. As A2Z is rated highly, I decided I would contact them to get a quote. I also contacted multiple other roofing companies for comparison. The man who came out to inspect my roof was at my place for all of 10 minutes. I have a security camera facing the street, and while I saw him put the lader on the roof, he didn’t actually go up on the roof. I was also home the entire time. Strange. In comparison to other companies- the other guys were out on top of my roof for about an hour taking measurements. I then got a call from the office about a week later, asking to schedule a call to go over the quote. Just out of curiosity, I still scheduled a call to find out what the quote was, knowing full well I wasn’t going to be hiring them anyways due to them not even taking measurements. The call was scheduled for today at 10am. I repeated back to the lady on the phone the date and time to make sure I put it in my calendar correctly. I made myself available for the phone call, but never received a call. So, overall, my experience has not been 5 stars like the other reviewers, and I will not be giving them my business.

Hello Kelsey, Thank you the feedback regarding your experience with our company. I apologize that we did not meet your expectations regarding the quoting process and site visit. We are hoping for an opportunity to chat directly so we can discuss the events together, this will help us better meet the needs of our clients in the future while addressing your concerns as well. To create the estimates, our company uses an engineering software that allows for remote measurement of the home using satellite imagery. Our team creates an estimate for the project and we book a site visit to discuss the different options quoted while we are on site. Having the estimates prepared when we come to site allows our team the opportunity to spend more time reviewing the details of the estimates and explaining our procedures as contractors. We also feel it allows the chance for our clients to ask more questions and gain some peace of mind regarding the products and installation. While creating the estimate for your home, we originally created measurements for your side of the duplex home. When the estimates were created, we realized that your neighbour was also interested in proceeding and had to create a new set of measurements to cover the installation for both units. At this time we missed communicating the delay in the process, we sincerely apologize for not informing you of the events that lead to the delay. Our goal is to try to have the estimate created for each client within 48 hours of following up on the lead. On June 9, our system is noted that a site visit was booked for June 13 at 4pm, each activity is logged from our side using a client management system to prevent service failures. Our Operations Director was on site June 13 slightly earlier than 4pm and had called the number on file which was unanswered. He rang the bell at the unit 3461 and waited on site as we had arrived early, nobody returned the call or came to the door while we were on site. Before our team m

They arrived right on schedule as promised, and the technician took the time to explain the entire process clearly. Most importantly, their actions matched their words, which earned my complete trust. I would definitely hire them again for future projects and highly recommend their services!

A2Z did a great job throughout the process! From having a slight repair due to the strong winds, a consultation about the roof, vast options for us to choose from without any peer pressure, timeline on the work, the workers (gabreille) installing the shingles and vents, to the gutters (alex) this was nothing short of spectacular. Talking with the actual owner (instead of a sales rep) gave it a very personal touch in which i appreciate. It shows that they care for the work and passionate at what they do.

Took the time to explain the materials/parts they use and why (such as the venting and adapter). Kabrom and his crew put in a long day to get the job done before some bad weather moved in, and I could hardly spot anything to clean up (maybe tiny 4 bits of clear plastic that's on the shingles when they're removed... that's it, no nails or anything else). So when they say they clean up, they mean it. The shingles look good, and we're happy these replaced our old ones before the rainstorms really got going this summer. Also had eavestroughs and downspouts done as ice patches would show beneath them in winter. Ivan and his team also put in a solid day's work and left no garbage for us to clean up. They suggested low-cost drainage improvements and explained the use of baffles to better handle the flow off the roof. I was happy to recommend them to my neighbour and would go back if I needed more roofing work done.

Hired A2Z Roofing & Renovation to replace my asphalt shingles and reposition several roof vents in preparation for a solar panel installation. The entire process was seamless, and the final results are fantastic. From the initial onsite consultation to the hard-working crew and the thorough post-installation cleanup, every member of the team was top-notch. Extremely pleased with the high quality of work and the care they put into my project. Highly competitive and very reasonable pricing for the quality of work they deliver.
