  I recently had the unfortunate experience of hiring owner Maurice Harrison for roof, gutter installation and the addition of gutter guards. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement; the workmanship was nothing short of a nightmare. From the outset, it was evident that attention to detail was not a priority for this company. The gutters were installed damaged with visible gaps and uneven alignment. We purchased black gutters, to find out the company gave us spray painted materials. Not only did this compromise the aesthetic appeal of my home, but it also raised concerns about functionality. The gutter guards, touted as a premium solution by Maurice Harrison owner of A1Roofing/KangaRoof, proved to be utterly ineffective. Far from keeping debris out, they contributed to clogging issues, leading to water overflow and potential damage to my property. Attempts to communicate these issues with the company were met with unresponsiveness and indifference, and more poor workmanship. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for KangaRoof. I write this review as a cautionary tale for anyone considering their services. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and potential damages to your home by steering clear of KangaRoof. There are countless other reputable options that prioritize quality work and customer satisfaction. In summary, my experience with KangaRoof has been a regrettable one, marked by poor workmanship, ineffective gutter guards, and a complete lack of accountability. Consider yourself warned. ⚫️UPDATE 02/07/2024 The pine trees were there when the house was surveyed by Mr Maurice Harrison. Mr Harrison never mentioned that the pine trees would be an issue, and we weren’t informed that he would be hiring a subcontractor. We have been more than patient with Mr Harrison. We have called them out at least 5 or times for the gutters and the downspouts that his “subcontractors” installed. The home had been in my family since the 1980’s

  Yes, we installed a new roof along with black gutters, downspouts, elbows, and gutter guards for the homeowner. Our gutter subcontractor installed the gutter and gutter guards. And yes, they did spray paint a few of the elbows because they ran out of black elbows. The elbows were painted with Gutter touchup paint. The elbows that were painted started chipping and peeling and that’s when we went back and corrected the issues by installing black elbows that have a baked on finish. The issue with the gutter guards is that the homeowner has pine trees near the home and the gutter guards that were installed were inappropriate for Pineneedles. We remove the initial gutter guards that were installed and installed a much finer gutter guard that would keep the Pineneedles out of the gutters. All necessary corrections have been made.we have apologize to the homeowners for the unexpected issues that occurred.

  Tried to contact them several times. Got quick response on my first email and no response at all after that. Wasted a week waiting for them to get back to me. Ended up using a different contractor.

  Extremely rude receptionist. Told me that an estimate for repairing our roof would cost $49.95, since we are not members of Angie's List, despite their site advertising free estimates.

  My experience with A1 Kangaroof is excellent. I did my own research for some weeks before I choose A1 Kanga to replace my roof, so I felt confident about the materials that I wanted on my roof. I interviewed a few different roofing companies and Maurice was the only individual that met my requirements. He knew his subject and came prepared and did an excellent job. What impressed me even more is the follow-up and support that this company provides after the job is completed and that's very important to me. I had a minor leak over a window and I though it was the roof but it wasn't. This was almost 2 years after the roof was installed. The sealing on the window frame became defective and this had nothing to do with the roof installation. I reported it to A1 Kanga and they fixed it for me anyway. I consider this to be excellent customer service.

  Maurice and his team did a great job repairing my house’s roof in Baltimore. They scheduled the job within a couple weeks of me calling and actively communicated with me throughout the process. Their prices were reasonable and the work was high-quality.

  They replaced my 2600 sq ft foot roof. The work was essentially completed in one day, including all trash removed. Maurice was very professional and knowledgeable. He educated me in advance and provided a video of the crew’s work afterwards. Very impressive!
