  They didn’t properly protect my home during the installation. Dust and debris got into the attic, and I had to deal with additional cleanup afterward

  Roderick Bell has never been a customer of A-Star Roofing. This is a fraudulent review. We make sure our customers know what's going to happen and we have several reviews and have received many compliments on how clean we keep the work place. Roderick most likely has the wrong company name.

  POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE: NEW EDIT: Gerry has called my work phone that I called from twice yesterday after my poor review. He then called my husband's cell phone to try to win him over for business. My husband told Gerry that we will take our business elsewhere because I obviously felt belittled on the phone. Gerry then proceeded to call me today at work to talk about the poor review. This being the 4th call for a one star- rating that Gerry obviously cannot handle, I told him he deserves the one-star rating and did threaten stocking/harassment as this is the 4th phone call over a review that I honestly don't care to discuss anymore with Gerry. I told him not to contact me anymore. A good business owner doesn't respond to people so aggressively, as mentioned in the previous one-star review. As Gerry says, you "folks" be the judge, but a real business owner can handle a one-star review. Obviously Gerry is desperate for the business he will lose over my rating :). This business does not even deserve a star for how I was just talked down to on the phone. I am not one to leave reviews for businesses, but I am still in shock after ending the phone call. I went through and read the other reviews that customers had posted about feeling this same way. I was trying to get a quote for a house, and instead of winning me over, Gerry lost our business. He can reply and call this a fake review, like many others that he has responded to all he wants. All he did is tell me that he runs around doing quotes for people and doesn't get paid. My thought for you is this Gerry, maybe with better over-the-phone customer service (not belittling potential customers), and if you actually had good quotes for people to begin with, people would actually do their roofing business with you. Good luck to you Gerry, and I hope you might treat the next potential customer with some respect.

  It has taken us a long time to write this review. We even considered not posting it at all, because we didn’t want to just complain. But the more we thought about it, the more we realized that we wished someone had warned us about what we were getting into. We could not in good conscience, then, remain silent about our experience. The best thing we can say about Gerry Heaton of A-Star Roofing is that when the work was finally done, it was acceptable. But our entire experience with him was so frustrating that we would never recommend him to anyone. There are many roofers in Utah County who can do acceptable, and even exemplary, work. It is hard to imagine that there are any others who will do so with such a disappointing combination of excuses, delays, and rudeness. If you want details, read on. But our bottom line recommendation is: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Our negative experience with Gerry can be summarized into four categories: delays, excuses, treatment of others, and compliance with city and state regulations. 1. DELAYS. A new roof should take around a week, once the work starts. We signed a contract on May 12, 2017, and work commenced the first week of June. The job was finally finished on November 8. Yes, that’s more than 5 months from the time work started until the time it finished. 2. EXCUSES. Gerry spent more time during those five months making excuses for delays than he spent actually attending to the work. He blamed anything and everything except himself: migraines, family issues, weather, other jobs, Orem City, “my guys didn’t do that right,” and on and on. He never, ever took personal responsibility for anything, even though his name was on the contract--and on the company. 3. TREATMENT OF CUSTOMERS. Pretty much the only time we were treated with courtesy was when Gerry was making the pitch to get our business. Once the contract was signed, the treatment changed completely.   Saved money 3 years for a new roof. Read the previous review and figured I was choosing the right guy, I was wrong. Gerry was never on the site. His guys did install a new roof, but never finished the job. Once he was paid he didn't care anymore. Cable wires were hanging down all sides of home, cut and cable gone. Rusted fixtures left on roof, which were supposed to be replaced and painted to match. Talked with Gerry multiple times and each time was told he would come finish and fix the problems and concerns. I have given him over a month to finish and make right. I have since had to hire someone to finish what he started. Very disappointing. Was not nice to me or my wife. Very disappointed in what should have and could have been a great experience. I would definitely go elsewhere.

  I talked to several roofers before deciding to hire Gerry and his crew, and they were worth the wait. Gerry came out and gave me a fair and honest quote, for just what needed to be done. He explained the details clearly, without embellishing to make more money like some of the others. He was very professional and friendly, and even my dog loved him. His crew was respectful and got the job done quickly. They were very tidy and neat. My roof looks great and I couldn’t be happier!

  Gerry and AStar Roofing were fantastic to work with. He's gave us great information about the options of shingles to select from, he showed us samples of the other materials they used and generally helped educate us. His crew was on time and worked fast. Our new roof looks great. I'd definitely recommend them.

  I want to thank Gerry from A-Star Roofing & Construction for always being there when I need emergency roof repairs. Whether it's storm damage or loose shingles, Gerry responds immediately to prevent bigger issues. His technicians truly save the day securing roofs quickly until full repairs can be made. Gerry has my highest recommendation!

  I solicited several bids to re-shingle our roof, and Gerry (owner) was not only the first to respond in person, but he quickly assessed our condition with visual inspections and measurements, and was very helpful in answering my questions. I was impressed from the start at his honesty and the straightforward approach he took in showing me all the high-quality materials that would be used, and explaining in detail how the work would be done. Once I gave the go-ahead, the job was scheduled within about 48 hours and, as promised, was finished in just two days. The crew was experienced and did a professional job, including thoroughly clearing out all the gutters and cleaning up all the areas around the house. I am very satisfied with our new roof and the experience overall, and would highly recommend Gerry and A-Star to anyone looking for this kind of work!

  A-Star did an amazing job replacing our roof. They removed the old shingles, removed the old swamp cooler, removed the squeaky turbin attic vents. They repaired the holes and now our roof looks great and no squeaks. The roofing crew did a great job, showed great care for our property, cleaned as they went, never a mess. I would highly recommend A-Star for any roofing job. Well done.

  They came out gave it good exclamation of the quality of shingles and work at a really good price they were fast efficient they cleaned up the yard cleaned up with a rake for any nails it could be in the lawn swept my driveway clean the things that had scattered. They were awesome and fast. I would highly recommend this company

  Right from the beginning, Gerry and his team were very easy to work with. We had a small area of damage to our roofing from a big storm and reached out to several roofing companies for quotes and options. Gerry was the fastest, most professional, and realistic response we received. I appreciated the options he gave and the realistic timelines he presented. In the end I loved how personable yet professional the process was. I will definitely be contacting them again for any of my roofing needs.
