  I purchased a house early 2022 and the seller told me the roof was under warranty. The roof is only 3 years old, it is leaking in multiple spots. We called Old Time roofing and they told us the warranty doesn’t carry over once the property is sold. Then they proceeded to tell us that they could have some one come out and give us an estimate to fix it. ( Who in there right mind would use the same company to fix a roof that is a couple years old). Makes sense they don’t want to warranty there shotty work. 3 year old tile roof that leaks in multiple spots and the flat roof out back leaks everywhere. Stay Away from this company!

  This is unfortunate that I have to write a negative review for another small business owner. We requested a few quotes for a commercial building roof replacement. Owen's roofing was in the lead not due to the lowest price but rather to the most thorough explanation and quoting me for exactly what I wanted. Old time roofing told me they could leak proof a new roof even better so I gave them a chance. A guy came, spent about 40 mins which was impressive, then left promising to email a quote within a few days (I personally confirmed the email to make sure my secretary had not made a mistake). 3 weeks fast forward, no quote. My secretary and assistant called Old Time roofing 3 times. The owner had been informed and allegedly he was furious and promised to make it right. A week later I personally called them. Again, " the owner has been informed and he is going to make it right to us". Another week passes by, the quote with Owen's roofing expires. Due to the increased metal prices (I requested new, larger diameter, scuppers and drains), a new quote went up by $600. I will eat the cost and go with Owen's roofing, and I am sure the owner of this joke of a company will take his sweet time eloquently replying to my review and explaining why it was not his fault as a small business owner but an act of God. That's exactly why I would never recommend this company to anyone. I know how to take accountability even if it was my employee's fault (which in this case is doubtful at best). You go and fix your employees' mistakes (I do it even on weekends). That's what makes you a boss not some pathetic excuses.

  Used them 19 years ago they were great. Now one excuse after another. Never on this job in the morning. Never worked a full day. Must be doing a few roofs at the same time with one truck. Very sloppy. Promise to clean but left a big mess over the weekend. It’s been seven days and still not done. Driveway has oil spots, tar or something black smear on rain guard. Had to call owner because they were scheduled not to come till after one and they wouldn’t have been able to finish work and clean up their mess. They used my concrete edging to prop up under a wheel of the dumpster. Why pay premium prices for shorty service? This time one star is a gift.

  Old Time Roofing put the ugliest shade of brown roof on our home. We also had a solar-heated water heater which we decided not to put back on. Their workers stole our copper leading to the water heater which led to mice inside our home. I highly do not recommend them. I would give them a zero if that was an option.

  Lisa, I’m sorry to hear that you feel this way about our work. I wasn’t aware you were dissatisfied with the color you picked out when we finished the job over a year ago. The contract states “haul away debris”. Our crew didn’t steal the solar unit. We fulfilled our contract by removing the solar unit with the roof and hauling it to the dump. (We weren't asked to leave it on the job.) You didn’t give me any indication you were not satisfied. I wish I could do something for you right now, had I known this year ago, I could’ve gone to the dump and brought you back the solar unit.   As a business owner, I was heartbroken to read Art’s disappointment with our roofing job. We work hard to do a quality job. I get a lot of satisfaction in doing roofing jobs and listening to a pleased customer, who tells me we did a great job. I regret Art feels that way. During the roof installation, Art called and reprimanded us for the trash we left out. We came out immediately after we received the phone call. We found a trap with a few pieces of debris in it. We asked the foreman what happened and he explained the dump truck was over full. He planned on picking up the tarp the next work day. Art also mentioned he had to point out mistakes that we made. Our position is the roof was not complete and every roof we install is checked out by me or our field superintendent. Before the roof was completed we received a call saying the roof wasn’t finished. In reality we always come back and hand seal all head laps and critical flashings. We would never leave the roof unsealed. Regarding the sub roof (roof under tiles), we installed the very best system that I know of on the market today: 1 ply of MTS and 1ply of Tu-Plus. It is the only system I am aware of that offers a 30 year manufacture warranty. The roof was done right and passed all building inspections. When Art addresses the stucco damage. This damage was not caused by us. It is preexisting stucco damage that will let water into the building. We repaired the stucco for free. We also repaired a leaky window for free and we painted where we did the stucco repairs. You would never know there were problems there after we made the repairs. I believe if a contractor came out to fix the window, stucco, and painting work, it easily would’ve cost $750.00. Out of the kindness of our hearts and with an attitude to go above and beyond, we were happy to them at no cost to the homeowners. Regarding the oil stains, we believe they are preexisting stains. We have left a message offering to clean it up.

  Let me start off by saying that if you have any kind of roofing issue-stop now and call Joe at A Old Time Roofing…you will not be disappointed. Nine years since I last called on Old Time Roofing and 22 years since my first experience with them and they remain the only roofing company I would use and continue recommend to friends, family, neighbors, etc. The first time I encountered the need for a roofing company was 2004 which began my process of obtaining multiple estimates for a full tile roof replacement with varying degrees of pricing and explanations. A former co-worker recommended Old Time Roofing and what a different experience they brought! I was given a full explanation of the process, timing, and the replacement was done at an incredibly fair price by a professional and knowledgeable crew. Fast forward 13 years to 2017 and following a visit from Hurricane Irma I was again in need of a roofing company. No need for calling around, Old Time Roofing came out and provided me with two options on the back flat roof (repair or replacement), explained both fully and without any pressure to go one way or another. My roof was replaced quickly and (again) reasonably priced by professional, responsive, and knowledgeable employees. This current issue (July 2026) was regarding a very small leak and not only did we get a quick appointment for an estimate, but when we had further questions, Joe called directly to provide full answers to each of our questions. After being given an extremely reasonable time frame of 3 hours, the crew that came out was early, professional and finished the job without any issues. I am pretty sure no one is excited about having to deal with any type of roof issue, but I am happy to provide my repeated positive experiences with A Old Time Roofing!!

Under Article 2: Payment, our contract states: “Should homeowner decide to pay by credit card, add a 2.5% processing fee to the contract price.” This clause is included in all of our agreements, as we believe in being fully transparent throughout the roofing process. We never aim to deceive our customers. The processing fee applies only to credit card payments, and for homeowners who prefer to avoid that fee, we are always happy to accept checks as an alternative.
