  I had a crawl space water issue that was most likely related to the roof. I requested a quote from several companies and Windy City was the first available. The guy who came out checked the area without going on the roof. I ended up going with him because I figured he knew what he was doing and received a good quote on gutter guards and downspout replacement. Also the reviews on here seemed great. Couple guys came about a week later and installed gutter guards and replaced 2 downspouts. They did not haul away the old downspouts and just left it on my lawn. Same guy who did the inspection came by himself few days later when I was at work. I saw on camera all he did was nail down the shingles and put some glue or caulk down. I could have nailed and glued myself. I had 2 companies come out two days later for another quote to see if the roof was okay. They both said I have a roof leak and all the guy did was put a temporary “bandage.” The nearby roof flashing was also loose which was not caught since Windy City guy never went on the roof while these other guys did. I went with a new company spending extra $1k and they replaced the shingles, inspect/replaced wood deck, installed new ie/water shields, and fixed the flashing. Also replaced another downspout and they hauled away the old one. I would not trust this company at all. What kind of roofer does not go on the roof for inspection.

  The day we visited your home it had recently stopped raining so we did not walk your roof for obvious reasons, but instead viewed what we could from the roof edge on a ladder. As for the downspout debris I think you are referring to the downspout extensions. Our crews typically leave these at homes due to the fact a lot of homeowners wish to keep them after they are removed. Unless we explicitly instruct our crews to discard they will leave them behind for this reason. I am sorry we did not clarify this detail with you and failed to meet your expectations in any way.

  I hired Castello Roofing & Waterproofing to do some roof repairs on our building and I was very impressed with not only of the quality of their work but, their professionalism & flexibility with working with our tenants in the building. Great job to everyone on the crew!! I would definitely recommend this company!

  Windy City Roofing and Siding recently installed new roofs on my house and garage. Their crew of 5 arrived on time and completed the job in one day. Their team was very professional and courteous and did a very good job of cleaning up when the job was done.   We had a great experience with Windy City Contractors. They were very quick to respond and took the time and effort to walk through our home issues. They did not oversell us, and charged us a very reasonable amount for our home improvements. I will definitely recommend them to others and use them again!!

  I was referred to Windy City by a friend whose opinion I valued. I was not disappointed. Steve Riedl was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I had siding put on the upper level of my home. The workers were so skilled that I had neighbors watching during the process . I should have sold tickets. The finished product looks fabulous. Steve has been very responsive to all my needs including new gutter downspouts

  Came in today to do a roof inspection as I wanted another set of eyes, since one of the big company roofers (power) scared the living crap outta us saying the roof wouldn’t last for more than a year and quoted us an absurd amount (20k+). Oni and Chris were honest upfront and said the roof should last for another 5+ years and is in great condition. They inspected and did a roof maintenance for now.

  We recently replaced our 20-year-old roof and worked with Steve. We are very happy with the work that was done. Honest and work was completed on time his roofing team is also very hardworking and were respectful. Protected the property while removing the old roof.   We have had two 5-star experiences with Steve Reidl and Windy City. About 5 years ago, a large storm tore a section of our roof off. About 6 weeks ago, a hailstorm damaged our siding and gutters significantly. Steve and his team worked with our insurance company both times to make the repairs, bringing the projects in right at the estimated cost. The quality of the workmanship is what really impressed us. I'd hire Steve and his team in a heartbeat if needed in the future!
