Wilderness Roofing was responsible for the new roof on a house we recently purchased. Unfortunatly the previous owners did not do their research and hired Wilderness, they immediately had leaks. Wilderness had been back a few times to remedy the issues but never did actually fix it. I was curious where all the water damage we kept finding during Reno’s came from, once the weather warmed up we found out pretty quick. Do not hire Wilderness Roofing, don’t even both with a quote, there are far better options out there, and their quotes will probably be less expensive than Wilderness.

If you want quick work that leaks these are your guys! They installed my roof and it looked good. Had some issues when they were done. Left a mess on my roof and it needed repairs first day. They did them. Then a couple months later I had …

I initially left a good review because the roofing team that was contracted by Wilderness did a good job on my difficult heritage house roof. However, my neighbour's pavers were damaged by the hauling truck that was brought on to dispose of the old shingles. I have spent 2.5 months trying to get the damaged neigbour's pavers replaced to no avail. The owner of the company has now personally promised me five times that he would come to fix the damage his company did to the neighbour's property and it has not happened. This is taking so much of my energy and is really stressful as it is not my property that was damaged but the neighbour's. I would not recommend working with this company.

Sadly my experience was not 5-star, like so many others here. The contract was for red shingles, but the garage was roofed in emerald green. I rolled my eyes and agreed to a discount. Damage to the roof decking at the eaves edge was not brought to my attention, it was just covered up. So there’s rotten plywood under the new (green) shingles. The focus was definitely on doing a very fast job. The roof of the house is a joke — dark grey shingles with a couple of red areas running through it. I think the bundles of “red” shingles were defective or mis-labeled. The packages looked like they’d been outside for years. Jeff was not there to check the product and I assume his crew didn’t tell him — they just installed what he supplied. Jeff offered to re-do the job but there was no way I could trust him a second time.

This guy was only quick to answer your call and text if you need a quotation or get a done deal but after you've settled and paid it's like he doesn't care at all. He left some instructions "in the future blah blah blah" and as a first time …

These guys are "doing " a roof in my town, been on site 2 days and still not done, simple roof. Mess everywhere, if that's how you stack new shingles....think you need stronger/ smarter employees. I don't do roofing at all and know better than these "workers" glad I went with another company Yikes!!!!!!

Do not hire Wilderness Roofing! Got quoted for my house to be shingled, Jeff promised it would be done in one day saying it was a very simple roof. Felt extremely pressured to make our decision on the quote in a few minutes. We asked that our old chimney be closed in, add 2 additional roof vents and also a days notice before coming so I could arrange my dogs not to be around. He wrote it all down and had us sign the quote. Day 1 : Got a call the following Monday to say they have started on the roof, did not receive a days notice. They agreed to stop and come back tomorrow. Day:2 I took the day off work the next day and no one shows up. I called Jeff at noon to complain and he swore they were still going to make it there. However they did not. Day:3 The next day they came and stripped the roof but did not put any new shingles on. The roof was not properly waterproofed and rain was expected over night. When I called Jeff he said someone would come out immediately and make sure it was water tight. No one showed up again. Day:4 my roof was finally shingled by day 4 however there was major issues. The chimney was not closed in, they didn’t clean up the ground leaving hundreds of nails to be pick up by hand, only 1 vent was added to the roof which was not cut in but smashed in through the plywood with perhaps a hammer. Talked to Jeff about these issues and it wasn’t for about a week until they returned. Day:5 the chimney was removed and the vent that was not installed properly was fixed. However they didn’t add the 4th vent. When called to talk to Jeff yet again he said they would be out the next day to address the issue. However another week goes by until someone shows up. Day:6 finally the 4th vent was added and the job was complete. With yet again a mess left behind by the crew. Our one day roof took Wilderness roofing 4 weeks to be completed over 6 different days and multiple multiple phone calls. What a joke.
