7 Months. No Work Done. --- **UPDATE Feb2026** Work has begun and is well underway. I am relieved and cautiously optimistic. --- In late July 2025, I first contacted GCR&S and they were very prompt to come and look at the property and give me a quote. A few weeks later in mid August, I talked to them and we set up a tentative date for October, which sounded like it would be no problem. Mid October I hadn't heard from them. I called twice in the third week. I was told it would likely be a couple of weeks and that they would have a better idea in a few days of the exact timing. Mid November, I was told probably a couple of weeks and he would have to check with his crews. He promised to call me back that day and failed to do so over the course of the next seven days. I called them back in the third week of November and was told that would definitely be 4 to 6 weeks! I said I was fine if my project wasn't important enough for them I just really wanted it done and they could be honest. I was told that this timeline was very doable. I reached out in mid January and was told one week--he would just need to reach out to his crew. Imagine my surprise and joy that it would finally come together. A week later, I called and he told me he forgot to contact his guys. In the end he said it would be two more weeks. As of today, first week of February 2026, I have been told (once again) that they will definitely be able to start next week. I'm hopeful, but of course I can't possibly trust what I am being told. My interactions in person and on the phone have been pleasant. Out of the dozen or so times that we have spoken, I hade to reach out all but once! I appreciate them wanting to provide me with good news, but it is worse than nothing when it is completely disconnected from any work being done or even a single time estimate to be remotely correct. Like a fool, I still hope for the successful start (and fates willing, completion) to this project. I am not putting this revi

DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS! Had siding and eves done after 2018 after hail storm. Guys that arrived to do the siding were unprofessional and did not know what they were doing. Left a mess and in a few months siding started pulling off in wind. Had to have them back 3 times the following year. Finally resolved the issue but should have been done right the first time. They also replaced my 8 year old siding that never leaked once, but was hail damaged. It started leaking in a few spots. And now when I go out it is a line of constant drips from one end of house to another. It was never good from the start but nos is like many holes in the dike. They told me it is too late for warranty but would come out and fix for a cost. Yah right, like I would use you again. If the originals did not leak after 8 years and theirs started slowly and now are everywhere how is that O.K. all in all a terrible experience.

We highly recommend Great Canadian Siding in Saskatoon. Their pricing is very competitive, the best quote we received out of 4-5 companies. We were skeptical because sometimes you get what you pay for. We are blown away with the quality …

The guy on the phone, after we'd been sending too many slow emails, have me good, quick advice. I wanted a metal roof that would look nice for my neighbors and also last a long time. I got the slightly more expensive kind with no exposed rivets that could rust over time. For the screws that hold it onto my house, they are painted and also have built in waterproof grommets to help the whole roof last for probably decades. The installer guy was very diligent, answered my questions with knowledge and politeness, and even chatted on his break with me. Great company!

From the agent at the toll-free line, local project manager we connected with, and the guys on site, everyone was great to deal with and provided quick service to repair a leak as a result of ice damming in our roof. Thanks for your services!

Great Canadian sided my rural home in December 2024. I selected this company based on great on-site advice and information I received from the Field Estimator, the competitive quote he provided, and the company's online ratings. I was not disappointed. Great Canadian is a big company with a small company approach. I felt I had a 'team' working on my behalf. Matt (Field Estimator), another Matt (Project Manager), and Ray and Nathan (Siders) communicated with each other to make sure everything went smoothly. There were a couple of small glitches -- normal in the course of this kind of work -- that they sorted out quickly and with my best interest in mind. And I had some special requests, which they were happy to fulfill. All four employees were on my property at one time or another, which was a pleasure. They were consistently pleasant, helpful, respectful, efficient, and skilled. Ray and Nathan brought much experience to their siding work, as well as a commitment to doing the best job possible. I am very pleased with the results. After completion, I had a couple of questions and called Matt (Project Manager) about them. He answered quickly and helpfully. In one instance, he called from home on a day off. I'm happy to recommend Great Canadian.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of having GCRS remove 40 year old siding and replace it with vinyl. I couldn't be more impressed with the job that the guys did. A number of items come to mind that I will mention. -excellent workmanship and the ability to fix any glitch they encountered. -great guys that did the work...worked so well together, and they carefully explained everything they were doing. And with a great sense of humour. -always on time and worked a full day, and finished the job before the date expressed. -did an excellent job of the clean up, and were always keen to know what I thought of the job they were doing. -Every time I called the office with a question, it was answered. I chose a vinyl that had to come from down east, and had to be manufactured before shipping, and whenever I called for a timeline, they would phone the company to get an answer. -What really impressed me is that they all seemed to enjoy what they were doing, including the installers, the foremen, and the receptionist. I would unreservedly recommend this company if you need to have siding installed, or any of the other services they offer. I enjoyed having them around for the short time they were here. They offer outstanding service and workmanship reasonable pricing, and they didn't charge a cent until I had signed off on the job Canadian products and labour...only the best. Sincerely, john hall

Great Canadian Roofing and Siding Great Canadian re-shingled our house and also insulated and re-sided this summer, 2023. The roof work was done first and it’s a very good job. The crew worked quickly and stayed off the roof when it was too hot to protect the new shingles. Some of the new drip cap is somewhat far out making evestrough reinstallation a bit challenging. The clean-up was quite thorough but there are lots of roofing nails scattered on the roof and in the yard below. This shows the problem of doing the final roof clean-up with a leaf blower. The siding job took 5 weeks and is also really well done. The field estimator (Matt S.), the project manager (Matt L.), and the installation crew (Mike and James) were excellent to deal with and always responsive to special requests and needs. They were respectful of our landscaping and meticulous about quality. The house looks great and the new insulation will make a difference to heating and cooling. One small problem did occur: We had one new window installed and I needed to specify the extra thickness the new insulation, strapping and siding would add in order to custom-make the window correctly. The estimate I was given was incorrect, so the window ended up a little too far out. However, Mike took care of the error skillfully and all is well. We are very happy with the look of the finishing around the windows. Before the job started, we were quite concerned about what new insulation and siding would do to the trim around the windows, whether it would extend too far and be overly visible from inside as we looked out. Great Canadian should take pictures of various window treatments they have done to give a better idea of the possibilities so homeowners can make an informed choice. A lot of waste material went into the dumpster, both unusable and recyclable materials. We pulled out cardboard and metal to take to recycling ourselves. Anyone concerned with recyclable material going to the landfill should request
