  Wegner replaced our roof after the 2019 hailstorm, we thought we were getting an upgraded shingle and thought we paid for it. They left a ridge in the shingles on both sides of our house that raised at least two inches in the summer heat. Someone came to “fix” it but nothing changed. Our roof also leaked which created a huge water bubble in the sheetrock and paint. We called several times and were promised that it would be repaired but nothing was ever done. Fast forward to now when we had the roof repaired by Alpha Exteriors for hail damage from last year’s storm. We discovered the shingles were not upgraded, that the ice/water shield was installed over the old tarpaper, there were poorly repaired holes in the roof from the removed turtle vents and the flashing was not step flashing for shingles, but was for a steel roof. I emailed Brandon Wegner to complain and was told that I needed to send him the original quote to prove I paid for the upgraded shingles. I had the original but all that was on the quote was the shingle color. I DO NOT recommend Wegner Roofing and if you do use them, which I hope you don’t, make sure they do the job correctly. I now have to pay extra money to repair my roof correctly because my insurance company says they are not responsible for the shoddy install of the previous contractor.   I had a quiet different experience with these guys. I feel hustled out of 10s of thousands of dollars and taken advantage of by their deceptive contract bidders. Would not recommend.

  Allan, we are sorry to hear that you feel that way. But it's important to tell the full story too. We helped you get your insurance claim paid fairly on things that were originally denied. We explained the entire contract multiple times and the insurance supplement process. The work has been completed in a timely fashion to help you meet closing deadlines, and now you still owe over $20k. So I don't know why you would write a bad review when we have gone over and beyond to help you with the project, the claim process, and the strict deadlines that you had.   We had a Wegner salesman give us his sales pitch late this spring. He was pressuring us to close the deal. He was dishonest and conveniently didn’t mention we only had 3 days to cancel the order. We tried for a month to get out of this contract but the company wouldn’t let us. Now they are charging us $5122.00 for “administrative fees”. The salesman’s name was Coleton Baker. We met with the office manager and he wouldn’t listen to us either. This company is high pressure and dishonest. I would caution anyone from doing business with them.

  If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Horrible communication, horrible customer service. We are now on our 3rd project manager because the other 2 have quit. We’ve waited over a year to get our house fixed. In the meantime we’ve got supplies strewn around our yard and our neighbor’s. Loose wires are everywhere from where they took the old paneling off and we have 3 windows exposed to the elements because they’ve stripped them and then just left them there to rot. It would really be nice to get an update.

  Back in 2022 when the Derecho and hail came through Sioux Falls I had Wegner come over and take a look at my roof, and while getting on the roof they damaged the gutter corner with their ladder, causing it to leak and needing a whole section to be replaced. I tried getting them to replace it the summer of 2022 and 2023 without any success, so I eventually had to have it replaced and paid for it myself. It was a very disappointing experience considering they pride themselves on customer service.

  I have had a horrible experience with Wegner. It took over a year to complete. No final walk through. I was not happy with the final product and they showed multiple times no remorse.

  This is ridiculous you got a great deal on this project and the final project looks great. There was some ordering hiccups for sure that didn't go well. The real issue here is that you disputed the credit card fee after we refunded it and now you still owe us over $30K and we have to take this to court. We we would be happy to settle this up without going to court, but at this time for you to write a terrible review and lie about the credit card dispute as you still owe $30K is absurd. Please call us to settle this up.

  They have been nothing but difficult to work with. Our foreman has been absent during the whole process. I think he has been at the house maybe once and that was after they installed the roof and we had to fight them to come back to fix a leak. Absolutely no communication. Work started in October is still not completed but they do not know that since they haven’t come by to confirm the work their subcontractors didn’t do. Do not use Wegner for anything unless you want nothing but a headache.

  I had three pieces of siding replaced on our house. Jesse and Mike were great to work with, and did an excellent job installing the new siding. I will be using them for any future repairs or even total replacement when the time comes.

  Brady, our sales representative, helped us navigate insurance when it wasn’t paying what it needed to pay in order to fix our home completely. He made sure in the end that everything was rightfully covered. Wegner did amazing work repairing our siding, roof, gutters to the prior state before the large storm hit our home in Shepherd.   My wife and I recently worked with Geo Von Kinder and Tyler Peterson at Wegner Roofing and Solar on a weather related home insurance claim. Our home took some considerable damage due to a summer hail storm last year. We spoke with several area contractors about our repair needs including Wegner Roofing and Solar. Geo and Tyler assured us they would take care us and their team would work with our insurance company to get all the hail damage repairs fully covered and completed to our satisfaction. Their goal was our satisfaction. This was a primary reason, among others, we went with Wegner Roofing and Solar over all the other contractors! Geo and Tyler, along with their crews worked to replace our roof, rain gutters, windows, and help us with our siding and entry door upgrades. They even had recommendations for a good fence contactor since they didn't do fence work. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and we are very happy with their work and finished product! We will definitely work with them again should we need furture exterior home repairs. Thank you Geo Von Kinder, Tyler Peterson, and Wegner Roofing and Solar!

  I called Wegner to see if they could inspect a leak we had in our roof. Two days later, Geo came out and inspected our roof and thought that there was a possible problem with the installation in our valley. He said he would try to apply some caulking seal to see if that would stop the leak. He had to go and get the caulking and come back and had it done in 10 minutes. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing. I expected to pay a few hundred dollars. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I know where I’m going when we do need a new roof or any of their other services. Great Service!!!
