How many ways can a roofing company violate your trust? I kept learning more every week that I interacted with Warner Exteriors. I hired them to redo a roof deck and a balcony that both had water damage, as well as to make minor repairs on the main roof, and it took 6 deeply frustrating months to complete a 2-day job. Here’s the process of working with Warner in a nutshell: - I reach out to the office, explain my problem, and receive a friendly and reasonable response. - They yank my chain for weeks, sometimes telling me two hours after a crew was supposed to be here that they’re not coming and sometimes telling me five minutes after they already got here that they’re available. - The crew doesn’t even say hi to me, just goes straight in on the work. One time I wasn’t even dressed before I saw unexpected ladders outside my window. - It becomes apparent very quickly that nobody told them what the actual problem is, and they’re fixing the wrong thing and doing it poorly. - I call the supervisor (who is never present until there’s a problem) and he is as confused as his crew somehow. - The crew eventually does a sorta-decent-but-not-good-enough job, often solving two problems but creating a new one, possibly without even addressing the reason I called them out there. - repeat The crews that they sent out skipped important steps, lied about what they were doing or were going to do, slapped TPO on top of rotted wood that was specifically called out for replacement in the contract, created exciting new water intrusions, and once glued on a patch so poorly that it created a lil’ Capri Sun pouch of stagnant rainwater that squirted when you squeezed it. Mercifully, they hired a new crew at some point, and the new guys were much more responsive, communicative, and detail-oriented. After the fifth (!!!) pass, I finally felt the work was acceptable. Working with Warner has been one of the most maddening experiences I have had in years. The trust was shattered the first d

Thank you for taking the time to share this. We are sorry that the overall experience was as frustrating as it was. Once the affected areas were opened up, we found considerably more underlying damage than was visible or anticipated during the original evaluation. The repair ultimately required more work and a different approach than the initial scope suggested. That can happen with concealed water damage, but it was still our responsibility to manage those discoveries, communicate them clearly, and coordinate our crews effectively. We did not do that as consistently as we should have on this project. The length of time involved, scheduling changes, inconsistent communication, and the need for multiple return visits understandably damaged your confidence in us. Regardless of the complications we encountered, you should not have felt that you needed to supervise the project yourself. We do appreciate that you recognized the improvement with the crew that ultimately completed the work, and we are glad we continued working through the issues until you felt the repairs were acceptable. We also stand behind the work we perform and will continue to honor our warranty. Your experience highlighted several areas where we needed to improve our internal communication, field coordination, and handling of projects where the conditions discovered during construction are significantly different from what was initially visible. We take that seriously. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to ultimately make the project right, even though the process of getting there was far more difficult than it should have been.

Less than 3 year old roof and gutters (Oct 2023 install) from Warner Roofing is leaking and failing. Called twice to request relatively inexpensive for them warranty repair (detached upper gutter run from top to middle (not ground) which couldn’t have been installed correctly, and sloped/flat roof leaking around pipe / bad boot or whatever) and can’t get any communication or call back. They pick up promptly with some answering service and say someone will help me. Calls two weeks apart and no information or call back. Happy to remove review or adjust if they come fix. Inside is damaged at least $1000 from the roof leak and ongoing. Contact me please. I tried the normal methods first before resorting to this. Thank you. God bless.

I have never dealt with a worse contractor. I went with Warner because of their good reviews and their promise to stand behind their work. Had roof installed in 2024. Had a significant leak that damaged my ceilings. My contractor looked at their work and found that they failed to remove rotted wood (as required) and installed new wood in other areas improperly. I advised them of these issues on July 9. On July 15 (remember my roof is leaking) they sent someone to evaluate. Finally on July 27 they agreed to send a team over. No time given. I took the day off to wait. Roofer showed up at about 3PM (no way they could have fixed it in the time remaining). They left shortly thereafter because bad weather was coming. Warner told me on July 29 that they would come back July 30. Again I took a day off. This time, no one showed up or called despite texts from me requesting the status starting at 2:30. I would also say that the two times people came (in unmarked vans) they did not speak English so I could not communicate with them directly. It is vital to be able to communicate with someone on the crew. It seems to me that Warner has a great sales team. However, the actual work is done by unrelated subcontractors who, at least for me, did shoddy work and are irresponsible. I am leaving out numerous texts prompting action. Sadly, before I learned that they did a horrible job and do not stand behind their work, I recommended them to several people, some of whom used them. I hope the work done for them is better. I hope that this review saves others from dealing with Warner.

Hi Danielle, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. While we don’t agree with all of the characterizations in your review, there are certainly parts of your experience that we take seriously, and we appreciate the opportunity to address them. First, you’re absolutely right that the timeline extended far beyond the original 1–2 day expectation. Weather conditions during your project window played a significant role in delays, but we also recognize that the overall communication around scheduling and daily expectations could have been clearer and more consistent. That’s on us, and we are actively working to improve that process. Regarding crew size and working hours, project staffing can vary based on scope and sequencing, but we understand how that may not have aligned with your expectations based on initial conversations. That’s valuable feedback for how we set expectations upfront. On the workmanship concerns: the primary scope of work outlined in the contract was focused on the soffit areas affected by squirrel damage. When additional conditions are uncovered, our standard process is to review and approve any added scope before proceeding. In this case, there was a disconnect in how that was communicated and handled, and we acknowledge that frustration. To be clear, there was never any intent to “hide” issues or mislead you. We addressed the area in question and returned to complete the adjustment that was requested. The return visit and agreed cost were discussed in advance, and the work was completed accordingly. As for payment timing, it is standard for projects to be paid upon completion of the contracted scope. That said, we did work with you to resolve the outstanding item and return to finalize it. We also want to directly address the claim about our reviews. We have never fabricated or manipulated reviews. Our Google listing experienced a temporary issue unrelated to review authenticity, which has since been resolved. At the end of

I feel so awkward adding bad reviews but I am simple fed up with this company. We had our siding done and our front porch. The project started this summer and they are STILL working on the front porch - but I just couldn’t wait to post. Pros: - work in the end is ok Cons - horrific communication - numerous major and dangerous issues including leaving nails in our yard and street where there are children, absolutely destroying our landscaping (guys literally putting ladder directly in one of our trees and now it looks like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree), they even bumped our grill gas line leading to us having to call the fire department (this happened during the day when we were at work and then we come home to the stench of gas - so dangerous!) - messy and leaving tools and supplies everywhere - poor crasftmanship - we had to have them come back and fix things multiple times (the SAME poles they literally had to reside 3-4 times) - timing. There will be days sometimes weeks where we don’t see anyone here. We call and they say oh someone will be there they are waiting on supplies. Waiting on supplies? Since the summer?? Absolutely ridiculous and lies Cannot recommend this company at all and honestly wish we had never gone with them. At this point I am just wanting to get this project done with so we can get away from this terrible company

We’re sorry that this was your experience and that you feel frustrated. We do want to clarify a few important points. Your siding and front porch project has been completed, and the finished result reflects the quality standards we expect of our work. When concerns were raised during the project, we returned to the property and made corrections where needed until the work met those standards. During the course of the job, site conditions required the project scope to expand. Once the original siding was removed, it was discovered that there was no sheathing present, which is required for proper installation of fiber-cement (Hardie) siding. Addressing this condition was necessary to install the product correctly and safely, and it added time and coordination to the project beyond the original scope. Safety is extremely important to us. Any site or safety concerns brought to our attention were addressed promptly, and we would never knowingly leave a home or property in an unsafe condition. Construction projects of this size can experience delays due to material availability, weather, and required scope adjustments. While we understand how frustrating delays can be, our priority is always completing the work correctly rather than rushing it. We regret that the overall process did not meet your expectations, but we stand behind the completed work and remain committed to supporting you through our warranty and service process. If there is anything you feel remains unresolved, we encourage you to contact our office directly so we can address it with you.

Nate came out and did a very thorough inspection of my mother's roof. He then sat down with us and gave us a detailed report on the mistakes the previous roofer had made and the issues they could cause in the future. He was very honest with us in breaking the news that the whole roof would have to be replaced. He gave us a step by step explanation of the process their company would follow, the materials they would use, and the cost of replacing the roof. He was very personable, outgoing, and he clearly knew his field. My mother and I liked him very much, and give him high marks. The company is lucky to have him on their team.

Nate takes a lot of pride in being thorough, straightforward, and making sure homeowners understand their options without feeling pressured. We’re glad that came through during your meeting with him. We truly appreciate your kind words about Nate and our company. We are fortunate to have him on our team, and we’ll make sure he sees your review. Thank you again for the opportunity to help you and your mother.

I work with Warner Exteriors and Solar supplying windows and doors, and they’re great to work with. They stay organized, communicate well, and handle their projects the right way. Everything runs smoothly from ordering through install, and the quality shows in the finished product. Definitely a solid team—would recommend them.

I recently had all of my windows, siding and front door replaced by Warner exteriors. Job WELL done doesn't even do what they did justice! The window and siding crew showed up on-time everyday. They were true professionals!! Answered all of our questions and cleaned-up behind themselves each day. Warners does interior jobs well too!. I had a side window put in where there was once an air conditioner. Warners had a guy come in to fill that space in and another guy caulked and sanded so well that you can't tell there was ever a window there. I highly recommend this companies services. I would use them again. Kudos to Fernando and his crew and Anthony!! ****this was one year ago. I just added a better picture**

Work is good when it gets done, BUT IT DOESN’T GET DONE. Would give -5 stars if I could. Siding and railings were supposed to be done in a 5 week timeline starting September 3 2025. Happy New Year, we are still waiting for this project to be completely finished. Zero communication. Actually negative communication, no care about your landscaping or property. Workers leave tools and wooden columns and nails all over your property so get ready to get a tetanus booster and an ER bill when you trip. Sick of this company. No class, no care, no communication, no respect. Do not, I repeat, do not use this company if you value your mental health and peace of mind. Workers show up to each lunch and leave, I have this all on my ring camera for proof. We were told numerous times that “workers will be at the house today” all to see them sitting in their truck, eating lunch, dropping off supplies, taking measurements, and leaving within 15 minutes. The most unprofessional people I’ve ever worked with from workers to management. SHAME ON YOU LIARS.

I am not one to leave reviews but have had it with this company. I have been dealing with them since getting work done in July. It is now January and still dealing with the lack of communication, quality control, and craftsmanship of Warner. You cannot trust a 5 star review from them because they pay you to leave one and refer them. They have been to my house more than I can count after complaining and calling constantly to fix issues that they created. Beginning with rushing through my roof in a downpour without covering it up leading to water running down my walls and attic. They most recently came out to replace a rotted sill plate that was also missed by the team. They performed the work after me complaining and still did not do it right. Instead they cut around the old sill anchor and said that is acceptable when the new sill is not even bolted to the foundation. This is due to not wanting to come back yet again to fix a mistake costing them more time and money. There is only 1 foreman for all job sites within the company leading to cut corners and sloppy work. Watch them closely if using because who only knows what shortcuts were taken when I wasn’t able to keep an eye on things which should not have to be done as a customer paying a lot of money for something to be done right.

Winter on the East Coast hits homes hard, especially the roofing shingles. With extreme temperatures and constant freeze-thaw cycles in winter, it's no wonder that roofs can develop damage during the cold season. If the issues are hidden under cracked shingles and beneath worn-out flashing, you may not even realize the severity of the damage. As 2026 heads into the spring months, it's time to start thinking about potential post winter roof damage in NJ. One good way to get started is with a roof inspection by a trained and experienced professional.Mar 25, 2026Learn more
