Made an appointment to get a quote. Wrote incorrect time in my calendar. He stoped by and I wasn’t home. Texted him (owner) - got attitude! Ask for a new appointment after apologizing, got blown off! Nice way to do business buddy! NOT THE FIRST TIME YOU WERE CALLED RUDE!

We had an appointment just yesterday scheduled between 8-11am. I showed up during that time and you were not home. Because I have not been able to give you a new appointment date within the last 24 hours, I am the issue? We have not spoken by phone to do this, it has all been thorough text. Sorry if you read my text as having attitude. I keep them short and to the point because I am normally on the road.

Owner was very rude and condescending towards me. Called initially for an estimate at one of my properties and set up an appointment. Fast forward about a week or so and apparently he came and went to my property without so much as a text or phone call. Not even one to ask me where I was or if he had the right address or anything along those lines, and I expect I would have never heard from him had I not given him a call after the window had passed. When I called after not receiving a call by the time the appointment window had passed he informed me that he had arrived at 30 minutes into the appointment window and that calling to inform customers of when he’s on his way or at a property is “Not how he does things” and that there was no note that he should have informed me of when he was on his way to my property. Not much else to say except that I was disappointed by this situation and the lack of professionalism which I am very surprised about considering his glowing reviews.

Sorry I just don''t have time right now to call and track down people who are not home during the scheduled appointment time. You and I scheduled the appointment about a week ago for today between 9-11am. Had you requested a call ahead, I would have done so. I arrived at 9:30am and nobody was home. I left a business card on the door for a call back. Sorry I couldn't reschedule until after the first of the year. Good luck with your leak repair.

Very rude and unprofessional owner. My step dad had recommended him to us to fix our roof during the selling process of our house. He definitely regretted that decision and felt awful after seeing how the owner treated us. He was unprepared with extra tiles for a job that stated “replace any missing or broken tiles”. He was defensive on the phone and acted like it was our fault for not telling him, when our previous emails showed exactly what we needed done per home inspection. He may have known that information had he actually came out to assess the roof, but he didn’t. He just quoted us over email, told us they’d be there in the morning one day, came after 6pm in actuality and then got mad at us that they had to come back out another day to replace the tiles that our documents said they may have to replace. He was rude on the phone when we tried to communicate our needs and deadlines. He abrasively blew us off when we requested a receipt that was mandatory in selling our home. We will never use this company in the future. We are more than happy to pay more money for a more professional company and owner. Not a good experience. Since this review Brian has harassed me with two emails telling me to remove my review. Brian, this is mine and my husband's opinion and we are entitled to our opinion thank you very much. Brian did not contact us to rectify the situation or apologize for the less than great experience he gave us. He contacted us to tell me my "opinion" is wrong and he is right and to remove my opinion. Any less than five star review Brian has received, he has responded by stating that he did nothing wrong it was the customers fault. Our fault we found him to be rude and abrasive. Apparently we are not the only ones who got that same impression of Brian. Brian's story line is however a little skewed in his favor. Friday I asked Brian for a receipt via email showing we paid for his services in order to move forward with selling our house. Our de

Danae, I have tried to reach you numerous times with no response from you. I have received a couple of negative reviews over the years that I deserved. This is not one of them. Below is actually want happened so the public can see. I have all the emails and paperwork to provide this 100% accurate. Tuesday, May 28 9:59am: You emailed me a 2 PAGE (come to find out later you were missing a 3rd page) report and asked me to quote the repairs noted. The 4 roof items on the report were: slipped roof tiles, loose ridge tiles, mortar pack repair and sealing of the flashings. No reason to visit the house to quote these 4 items. 1:15pm: I emailed you a quote to repair the 4 items for $300. 1:23pm: You replied to me and specifically asked for us to not inspect the roof and to not do any other repairs that were not on the report. Here is your exact email to me. Hey Brian, I reviewed your quote and would like to move forward with your business. I did see at the top of the quote it stated “inspection “ as well..... my realtor wanted to make sure we did not inspect but just fix what they asked us to, since they did not get a roof inspector to inspect the roof during their inspection period. I also noticed your proposal included repairing underlayment as needed. Is there any way to just repair exactly what they asked for in the BINSR and nothing more? If this is possible, what dates are you available? Thank you, Danae 2:01pm: The proposal for the 4 items was signed by you electronically through DocuSign. Thursday, June 6 Morning: My two workers showed up to repair the 4 items on the contract. Before leaving they were asked by you about replacing 1 broken edge tile. They explained to you that it wasn’t on their work order. You aggressively contacted me about not replacing the broken edge tile. I looked over the signed proposal and over the 2 page report and there was no mention of replacing a broken tile. Come to find out, there was a 3rd page to the report that you

I did not know that my first ever review is going to be negative- God only knows how this business is surviving. Pathetic customer service - extremely rude owner. Hung up the phone on a polite question. Very bad experience.

They deleted my review (again) so updating below...Brian originally was easy to work with when completing a roof inspection on a house we were purchasing. After moving in, we completed all of the repairs he recommended resulting in $10,000 or work in April 2018. Now October 2018, we had two leaks in the roof causing damage to the interior of the house. When contacting Brian about how to resolve the issue, he was very abrasive stating that not all roof inspections are perfect and because he did not identify the spots which caused the leaks his company is not responsible then hung up.

Nick Read. I am easy to work with as you mention, just not easy to take advantage of like you attempted to do. The inspection of your entire roof was performed over 1 year ago while you were in the process of buying the home. At that time, it was determined that the tile portion of the roof needed no work but that the flat portion of your roof needed repairs / coating. The work on the flat portion of the roof was completed in April of 2018. No work was completed on the tile portion of your home. You contacted me on October 1, 2018 and stated that you were having a leak issue. The next day, one my workers who had worked on your home in April, went to your home and determined the leak was within the tile roof area of the home. He made the necessary repairs to the tile portion of your roof and returned the next day when the surface was dry and made additional repairs. You were not billed and you made no payment for the repairs performed. I contacted you soon after to make sure the repairs had stopped the leak and you stated they had. Instead of you thanking us for making the repairs for free, you wanted to know how "we planned on taking care of the interior damage to your drywall and furniture you stated was damaged". As I stated to you, the leak issue was not within the area of the roof we had ever worked on and just because we had inspected the tile area of the roof over a year previously, that does not make us liable for the interior or the rooftop tile issue. I find it hard to believe you would even assume we would be liable. If I had thought or noted some issue within your tile roof at the time I inspected it, I would have brought it to your attention and given a proposal to correct it. I understand fully the stress of having roof leaks and we work with many homeowners to correct them. If we were at fault here, I would do whatever it took to make it right but we are not at fault and sorry it came to this.

Brian Howard is the most unprofessional owner I have ever spoken with. Stay clear of this roofing company, there are other roofing companies that have class and professionalism at a way better cost.

Brian and VHB were very professional throughout the whole process of repairing our roof and replacing skylights and patio roof. Brian quickly did an assessment after our initial call. Then timely completed the work in a quality manner. He and his crew are kind and polite.

It’s never good when your neighbor sends a text saying “your roof looks weird” after severe winds! Brian at VHB Roofing replaced our roof several years ago and the last storm had such powerful winds that it lifted and broke a couple tiles. I called Brian at 8:30am and he fit us into his schedule and had the repair done by 10am. Now THAT is customer service! Highly recommend VHB Roofing! Thanks again Brian.

I cannot speak highly enough about VHB Roofing, owner Brian Howard and his team members! After discovering a water leak, I was concerned about finding a reliable contractor who could address the issue quickly and affordably. After getting numerous quotes, Brian exceeded all my expectations on every front. His pricing was very fair and competitive, didn't try to sell me something i didn't need, proving that quality roofing work doesn't have to come with an inflated price tag. What truly impressed me was the seamless process from beginning to end. Brian provided a thorough free quote promptly, and the turnaround time from estimate to scheduling and completion was remarkably fast. In an industry where delays are common, VHB Roofing's efficiency was a breath of fresh air. Brian clearly takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his customers. His professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to getting the job done right the first time makes VHB Roofing a standout choice. When you need roofing work done, you want someone you can trust to deliver quality results at a fair price and on time—that's exactly what you get with Brian and VHB Roofing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of roofing services!
