  After my initial great review I've had to deduct 3 stars. The mySafeHomeFL inspector has pointed out the hurricane clips were installed incorrectly. Mark claims they are correct, but has not contacted their inspector to get the report updated and even agreed to refund what I paid for them and then has not followed through on that yet either. I've included a pic of the clips the inspector pointed out as being installed incorrectly to this review. Very frustrating to be dealing with this months after the roof was completed.

  As a veteran myself, I figured I couldn't go wrong with a veteran owned business. However, I was terribly disappointed. On the day of my appointment, the owner was at a dentist appointment and his son was sent out. He was unable to give me an estimate on a skylight replacement/repair due to him only did entire roof estimates. He would request that the repair man to be scheduled. Waited until the following Monday and telephoned company was told, I don't know what is going on by Sharon, I will check and call you back. No response, I call back on Tuesday and am told she will let me know if the repair guy can come give an estimate on Wednesday or Thursday. Nobody calls or shows. Contacted Sharon again on Friday and she said oh he was to come out on Wednesday but, some excuse that she had a family emergency and had to go home early Wednesday. What the hell that have with scheduling the repair guy. He can come out tomorrow Saturday. I said fine 10AM. At 945AM I receive a call from scheduled repair man. What is your address. I gave it to him three times. However, whoever gave him the address they didn't spell the street name correctly and that is an issue since there is another street name that often is confused by folks. I said I typed my address in correctly when I schedule the appointment last week via the webpage. Now I am tired of this jerk around. I called him back and said forget it. I don't need to do business with a company who are unable to get it together. If you want to be jerked around by all means, hire this unprofessional business.

  Hi Steve, When you and I spoke on the phone, I told you that your WERE on the schedule. in fact after receiving your down payment and signed contract. We pulled your permit which is $125 Dollars, plus office time and labor and gas. We recorded your notice of commencement which cost this company $15.00 in recording fees Employee time labor and gas. Now we have to CANCEL your permit which also cost us money. THAT WOULD BE THE $250 WHICH YOU WERE CHARGED. So I let you out of your binding contract for free basically because if I'm not doing your roofing project, and your wife is demanding your money back then you and your wife have to pay for the work that was done on your behalf This makes sense doesn't it.? This fee does not even include the time that was spent ordering materials and putting you and your wife on our schedule. Also I mentioned that per the contract you signed legally I have the option to retain 15% of the contract which is standard in the contracting industry. So that was a statement of simple fact not a threat at all. I took the time to apologize to you personally and to your wife if you felt that the communication that you received was less than acceptable. I also told you that I would move you up on the schedule if that would help. instead your wife demanded your down payment back, I suspect that you received a cheaper quote after signing with veteran owned roofing from another company. When you sign a binding contract you should know what you're signing and follow through with the terms of the contract, which obviously you and your wife did not want to do. You stating that you were NOT placed on the schedule is a fabrication of the truth on your part. I'm the owner of Veteran Owned Roofing and of course I was willing to make any adjustments to make you and your wife happy. Obviously to no avail.   They will take your money then dodge you if anything is needed afterwards. They don't return phone calls and are extremely delayed and slow to fix any issues after work is "complete". Like months later. So even if you get your work done it …

  They left a huge mess in my yard when they finished. I even got a flat tire from nails in my yard. They would not return my emails when I tried to contact them. Also, they didn’t do all the work we agreed to. Again no returned email or phone calls. I do not recommend this company.

  This is the worst roofing company to exist. They had guys that looked terribly underage working on my house when I stepped outside. There are visible missed nails sticking out all over my house. Mark and his crew left in the middle of the building process and stopped responding to my texts for MONTHS. Then I come to find he left to go to Hawaii. My boyfriend and I had to complete the roof OURSELVES because we couldn’t wait any longer! Mark never had the decency to come back and pick up the pile of crap that he left in the middle of my yard. I had to take his garbage to the dump and was charged $50 by the city. The roofers also dropped something on my roof which caused my kitchen light fixture to break. Mark promised to have his guy fix it but he never did. Mark is the owner of this rotten company. I do not recommend going here! We were under agreement that he would replace everything rotting from termite damage but as you can see he completely skipped my soffit and fascia. Then he has the audacity to try and convince me that they don’t provide that. He put a whole new roof on top of crumbling runners. My runners have such severe termite damage that I wouldn’t be surprised if this roof collapses in a few years. I’m sure he will have some kind of lengthy response not taking accountability for anything because clearly that’s what he does whenever he has a disappointed customer here. Just save yourself the trouble and find another company!

  Left tree branches on lawn. Refused to to come pick up. After you response. The owner is my daughter. Just spoke to her about your claim that she couldn’t afford to have branches cut. No one ever disused the branches with her or her ability to Please acknowledge receipt of the order by email for it. Your answer is bunk. I’ll clean up your mess myself. As a contractor myself I never would have left the mess Left nails. Stepped on one. Now in hospital for three days. Ended up in hospital for about a week and almost lost toe. Owner refuses to pay deductible on insurance. Always thought veterans were mostly honorable. Guess I’ll have to sue him. Won’t respond to any emails.

  Shopped around with 6 different companies while looking for a roof company. My wife and I couldn’t be any happier with the work from Veteran Owned Roofing. Hats off to the communication from Mike and Mark. Edwin led the crew and stayed late to make sure everything was cleaned up to our satisfaction.   I can’t say enough about what a great experience we had getting our new roof. Once we were approved and received the funds we choose this company to replace our roof they gave us a great price, dealt with the insurance company, put us on the calendar quickly, showed up on time all three mornings and were very professional.   If your insurance company decides it’s time for a new roof, do yourself a favor and call Mike at Veteran Owned Roofing. What started as a scramble to find a reliable company to complete the work in less than 4 months (yes, I procrastinated) turned into one of the easiest home improvement projects we’ve ever had. From start to finish, the team was professional, incredibly organized, and lightning fast. They showed up when they said they would, stayed on schedule, and treated our property like it was their own. No chaos, and no surprises. Communication was outstanding. Mike and his support staff were responsive, answered every question, and kept us informed every step of the way. On top of all that, their pricing was competitive and the quality of the work was excellent. Hopefully, we won’t need another roof for a very long time… but if we did, we’d call Veteran Owned Roofing again without hesitation. Five stars all the way! If you are in or near New Port Richey definitely give Mike Vanne’s a call!

  Veteran Owned Roofing did an amazing job with our roof in Brooksville. Mike took such great care of us and was an absolute pleasure to deal with! A great quality job at a very affordable price! We had a few estimates done on our roof and they were by far the cheapest and most honest. The workers were all friendly and professional and did an outstanding job!   Veterans shingled my roof in 2023. Now 2 shingles have gouges in them. Veterans found matching shingles, went up on my roof (Holiday, FL) and replaced them with no charge. Excellent service from Sharon , the mgr.

  Mike Vannes and his crew with Veterans Owned Roofing did an amazing job!!! They worked like clockwork with our roof!! Started at 7am and finished by 5pm that same day. This wasn’t a small roof either, along with a few spots of plywood repair, I would say about 55-60 squares total for house with 2 car garage and 1800sqft detached garage. Including very good cleanup!! Thank you guys!! A few photos to see the work.

  Mike and the entire Veteran owned roofing crew are top notch. They are everything you could ask for and more. They gave us a competitive price, worked around our schedule, showed up when they said they would and knocked off a challenging 45 square reroof in 1 day including some structural modifications to improve drainage! I’ve personally been in the construction industry for almost 40 years and I would highly recommend you make them your choice as well.
