Gary patiently answered all our questions (I am sure we asked 10x your normal customer) and never complained. His team worked relentlessly and tirelessly in an awful heat wave. Our new roof is beautiful and the clean up was immaculate. I give Vanguard my highest ratings. Great people and a great job.

We hired the Vanguard Roofing team to tackle a big project on our 100-year-old house: full asphalt shingle replacement, re-coating the metal roof, and whole-house gutters. With a house this old, surprises are part of the deal, and Gary's team handled them as part of the job rather than coming back with change orders for every little thing. That meant a lot to us. The sales process was fast, transparent, and competitively priced. The job took longer than probably anyone expected, but the crew stayed with it every day until it was done. The finished product looks great. This was a long time coming for our house and we couldn't be happier. If you're in the Charlottesville area and need roofing and gutter work, give Vanguard a call - we'd use them again without hesitation.

I had a problem with an area of sheathing. Gary's team promptly inspected the entire roof and provided an immediate estimate on the repair. I gave my approval and in a few hours it was completed. No up-sell! From start to finish the transaction took less than two days. I would use again!

We recently had roof repair due to leaking done by Vanguard. Vanguard got the job done. After some unusual challenge with a tricky roof, Vanguard returned two times to complete the repair without hesitation. I am very satisfied with Vanguard for their responsiveness and for taking responsibility and making sure the job is done completely.

Gary and his team did an excellent job and the price was reasonable. The only issue was some scratches to the vinyl railing on my front porch caused by old shingles dropped down. Gary offered to paint or replace the scratched pieces but I used Magic Eraser to clean it reasonably well. I recommend this company.
