  I needed to review this company because the treatment and quality of work was unacceptable. We had a leak and they had to come back multiple times to complete the job. Leaving a mess of nails and debris each time. Once the work was completed the owner of the company harassed us for the money although we told him multiple times that we are selling our home and would pay him with the proceeds of the home. That was on Wednesday the house would be sold on Friday. He continued to threaten us with preventing the house from closing until he received his payment. It was distasteful, disrespectful and no way to run a business. Needless to say I would not recommend this company, not just for the lack of understanding and unbelievable disrespect but also the work that was done was subpar to say the least. Do better!

  Update: 04/25 We've had a mixed experience with Apex. The staff were friendly as well as the crew on the day of the job. That crew had to replace 12 plywood sheets, but chose not to replace other plywood sheets because they were still in good condition. A few weeks later we noticed major lines in the roof, so we emailed them, and they've been working with us (weeks of emails) to figure this out. They sent someone to review it both in the attic and outside. They said that the seams between plywood sheets were uneven and suggested wood bracing in the attic. That didn't work. They also suggested replacing the plywood and installing H clips. They said they didn't replace the entire roof deck the day of, and didn't use H clips between the plywood sheets because typically this is only done in entire roof deck replacements, and that's expensive. Our main issue is that we were not asked or advised of this issue the day of the install, which we're not happy about. So, the lines are still there. The only option left, that may or may not work, is to replace the front roof deck with new plywood - even though the old plywood is still good. They'd charge us an additional $2,400, but only for the plywood for this fix as they'll take care of the shingles, but I don't think we or they are sure it's going to work. So overall, we don't feel like we had the necessary information before or during this whole process, as we're getting all the explanation after the fact. So our roof keeps looking like the pics below, we don't feel like it's a good look for a 10K job on our new house. We're not the happiest, but we'll have to deal with it.

  We have used Apex for our business repairs, and recently a former co-worker needed some repair done at his home. Apex is our go to roofing company. They came out and assessed with fair pricing and returned and did a remarkable job of the repair of our friend's roof. We highly recommend them for all of your roofing needs!

  Competitive pricing, service was fast & professional. They went above and beyond- used highly rated and warranty backed GAF shingles, replaced everything that I didn’t know need replacing (like the boot) and fixed a ventilation problem caused by the previous roofers. They also cleaned my gutters and installed gutter guards at very competitive prices when included with the installation. All of that and they were super friendly too!

  Apex Roofing was extremely prompt in getting me a quote for replacing gutter guards and then in sending people out to do the work. In addition, they were far more reasonable than other companies. I highly recommend them.

  I recently had my roof replaced using Apex Roofing and I could not be happier with the entire experience, from the time when Ryan came to discuss my roofing needs through the actual roof installation. Their work crew was amazing, working quickly and efficiently, even in the very hot temperatures. Phil, the project manager, was professional and attentive to my questions.   Apex installed snow cleats on several ribs of my metal roof. After we got a historic ice storm in Charlottesville, a few of the cleats came off the roof along with an 8 inch thick sleet of ice. I reached out to Apex and told them I was not happy with the situation. To my surprise, Andrew contacted me very promptly and offered to come inspect what had happened and to rectify the situation. He showed up and was very professional and offered to reinstall the snow cleats free of charge. This is a great sign of an honest business that stands by their work and guarantees a quality product. I would be happy to hire them again for future work.
