DeNeve Construction (currently d.b.a. Tri-County Enterprises) reroofed my house in Fall 2020 with improper/unacceptable workmanship causing water intrusion (through the attic, through the insulation, through the ceiling) into a bedroom and roofing system material degradation/damage that became evident in April 2025. See below for description of exigent roofing repairs performed. Tri-County Enterprises was contacted on 06/18/25 about the unacceptable DeNeve Construction roofing work with an expectation that they would reimburse the cost of roofing repairs they necessitated. Person that took the call said they would get back to me. Nobody got back to me by 06/27/25 so I called again. Person that took the call did have someone call back that day. They requested that an electronic file with the repair details and costs be sent to them, and asked for one week timeframe for their review. Electronic file was sent that day. Follow-up emails were sent 07/07/25 and 07/11/25 with no replies. Called again 07/14/25 and was told that their review was not done. Nothing has been received as of 07/28/25. Based on the above, DeNeve Construction (currently d.b.a. Tri-County Enterprises) performed unacceptable roofing work, is unresponsive to the client, shows no sign of accepting responsibility and has yet to be accountable by reimbursing the cost of repairs that should never have been needed. A complaint (#23651340) was initiated with the BBB, but they closed the complaint with no action because it was outside their purview (deficient physical work performed more than twelve months ago). This review is being posted to publicly share the information since the complaint is not available on the BBB website. Exigent Repairs (writeup from the roofer) Exhaust stack #2 Exhaust stack on backside of upper roof line was letting water in via the collar. Sealed up collar and still leaked. Upon digging into this stack and removing cap and collar I found that the previous contractor

Had a new roof and gutter guards installed a few years ago. While inspecting derecho damage, discovered (by many contractors we've had out as well as insurance adjusters) that the roofing was done incorrectly/poorly in many places. …

Roof work is fine. Was told job would take one day - took 2 1/2. However the job requires (and we paid for) proper preparation and clean-up. That was not done - only one tarp - one tarp doesn't protect entire yard, driveway, porches, …

Derecho. Insurance flew a drone over and wanted quotes. Lady said they couldn't give a quote until the adjuster was here, said it very rudely. Made a bad situation worse.

Explained to this man how our insurance required our estimates submitted. He was unwilling to listen and verbally combative. No thank you!

I had hail damage and called about siding and gutters to be installed. The female who took my call said if it was an insurance claim and didn't include the roof then they weren't interested and promptly hung up on me in mid sentence. It is obvious what this business is about. I went elsewhere.

I apologize, however you weren't hung up on. As I was trying to dial you back because of an error on the phone during our conversation, I think you were calling in at the same time to say you were treated rudely. Your actual phone number did not come through to our system and your call was made through a Google request so I couldn't get you back? I apologize for the mixup today. I also wish we could help with your project, however not every request we receive is the type of job that we would work on. Receiving a one star review is unfortunate. - MM

Office manager call me back to let me know they won't take on any work unless you are getting more then one project done. If you are not going to do gutters stand alone stop advertising you do.

Thank you for taking the time to review Tri-County. I'm disappointed we can't help you with your request. I wish the 1-star review was an honest review from someone we have actually worked with. I see you have an estimate from us that you requested last year, we would have been able to accommodate the project at that time. It's unfortunate we can't meet your expectation today. Best of luck with your project. -MM

Over the last few years, we have had Tri-County Enterprises complete some projects. They have been great to work with especially Tom K. The projects were completed on time, no delays, and very clean after the projects were completed. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking at completing projects on their house.

Their punctuality, courteousness and attention to detail was spot on. Tom helped us navigate the celebrite program and helped coordinate other elements of our project. Tri-County performed three projects for our home. Total siding replacement in the fall of 2024. Very recently completed in the early spring of 2025 a maintenance free deck and deck railing, in addition to a Comfort Zone under-deck ceiling system. With these decisions to be made it was important to have someone knowledgeable to guide us. Our project salesperson Bill Renner was professional, helpful, easy to work with, and communicated in detail the various options we could explore. With each project the work was performed professionally and promptly. We felt the property was respected and kept our exterior neat and intact. We were alerted to a few concealed and pre-existing issues that were resolved with ease. When each job was complete, we scheduled a walkthrough and discussion with our salesperson Bill. The purpose of this walkthrough was to identify concerns as well as voice our praises. We had a very positive experience overall with the schedulers, sales and project managers, and of course those that did the actual work. Even a few of our neighbors made comments on professionalism and workmanship.

I am the president of an HOA in Marion Iowa consisting of 25 duplexes. In Apri of 2023 we had hail damage to our complex. 14 buildings needed to be reroofed and 35 total units had some repairs including, siding, soffit, facia and roof vents. The total claim was over $575,000.00. Tricounty completed the entire project in 3 weeks with a crew on the site every day. There was also a job site supervisor there all day every day. Very impressed! A special thanks to Tom and Mitch for managing this project start to finish!

We've been putting off doing siding because we just didn't know who to trust with such a big investment. I've seen Tri-County Enterprises signs in neighbor yards, so I called and had them give us an estimate. From the minute I met salesman Tom, I felt at ease. He didn't pressure me to make a commitment and answered follow-up questions I had. Months passed, and we finally pulled the trigger. Coming into fall, I wasn't expecting to be able to get siding done until spring, but low and behold, the call came they could start in a week! Someone showing up when they say they will is a huge deal to us, so come Monday morning at 6:30 am, the dumpster arrived just as they said! Shortly after, all materials arrived, and work commenced! In just two short days, our 2-story house was complete. Granted, the crews can't help the noise they make hammering and sawing, but I was very appreciative there was no loud music playing or loud talking when we both work from home. The crew picked up after themselves and were always friendly when I'd come out to take a peak at progress. Supervisor Damon answered my many, many questions, and it was nice to have someone hands on at the job site daily. We couldn't be happier with the transformation of our house!! We feel confident we made a great choice in contractors who made us feel appreciated, took care of our property, and paid close attention to detail. Those guys should be proud of the hard work they did! Previous: white New: Brunswick blue
